The W is for Wow!
by CSMobileUser2
We had dinner there 2 nights ago. It's an upscale restaurant where the food far exceeds the decor. The won ton soup, kung pao chicken
Can't Beat the taste at W's

As soon as you walk into W's China Bistro in Redondo Beach you are welcomed by the staff which are all helpful and informative. They truly do treat others as they would want to be treated. Every time I go there I always have to get their beef tenderloin dish, it has got to be one of my favorite dishes they have but I must also say that any other dish on the menu would satisfy me just as much. I go to W's as often as possible, it close to my house so it makes it a reasonably healthy alternative to cooking dinner for my self. The service is truly a utilitarianism style, always welcoming with a smile and are there to make your visit as pleasurable as possible.
- Pros: tasty chinese food
W's!!

While some people living in the south bay may prefer PF Changes for dinner it is very unfortunate that they are missing out on Redondo’s best Chinese restaurant, W’s China Bistro! It has now been a few years since I first started dinning at W’s and I’ve never had a complaint. The food is excellent and caters to most allergies and preferences. A few of my favorites are Chicken with Black Bean, Garlic Noodles, Green Beans, and Pan-fried Noodles. You must try one of these dishes if you are planning on visiting W’s. I recently started to get take out and found that the service was very fast and organized. I can’t even explain the feeling I get when I walk into W’s, with the ambiance, excellent food and great service time after time..I keep coming back for more.
- Pros: FOOD and Service
W stands for WOW

I've been dining at w's china bistro for 4 years now and i absoulutley love the food. I've pretty much tried everything on the menu . Some of my favorite dishes include the ahi poke, sea bass, waichuns beef tenderloin and the chicken with black bean sauce. The servers/ staff are very friendly. W's also caters. My sister insisted we have W's for her graduation party for 20+ people and everyone was going gaga for it!
- Pros: food and service

Excellent Food and Service

I went to W's for dinner the other nite, and one of my friends has a gluten allergy. Normally when we go out to eat she has a really hard time finding something or anything for that matter on the menu. Our server was great! She new exactly what dishes were gluten free, and even how to go about changing some of the dish that weren't, so that they would be. She really made our dining experience fantastic. Plus the food was awesome!!!! We will defintly be back

Tour the Diverse Cusine of China in South Redondo
by wirving
Guess what the theme is today, mate? Yeah, REAL. W's is REAL. Top to bottom .
REAL chinese food: After having dwelled in Shanghai for a majority of my lifetime, i can contest that this restraunt is far from false. Without a doubt the most authentic chinese you will probably ever come across.
REAL people: The staff is absuloutly exceptional. Like i said, i've lived in China. I've eaten in China. I know Chinamen. You want Chinese food served by authetnic Orientals who actually know how to fuse the beach-front ambiance of South Redondo with the stench of an underdeveloped and overexploited Chinese slum? Eat at W's.
REAL experiences: What do you get at a restraunt where you are served REAL food from REAL people? a REAL experience. The End.
Also, no joke, ask for an omelette. It's incredible.
- Pros: Unrivaled food and service
- Cons: What kind of fine Chinese Resto-bistro doesn't stock JW Blue
Great place for lunch
by yumm77
I'm a regular dinner customer at W's, and just recently went in for lunch for the first time. I'm kicking myself now for not having done it sooner! They offer the same menu as at dinner, but they also have great lunch special's, which includes a veggie egg roll, choice of rice, and choice of either hot and sour soup (my favorite) or their chinese salad. My friend who loves their wonton soup and chowmein, was able to substitute both instead of the rice and hot and sour for a couple dollars more. Our server told us that they can make almost every dish on the menu into a lunch special. I was suprised by the size of the portions when our food arrived!! Most places skimp at lunch, but we had so much food we both needed boxes to take the rest home! I was happy to see that they offer the same great complimentary wonton chips and sweet and sour dipping sauce that they do at dinner! I was also impressed with the service, even though our server had quite a few other tables, our drinks were always full, and our food came quick and hot. Even though I didn't say anything, our server notice that I had a gift for my friend and that we were celebrating her birthday, so she brought us a complimentary scoop of green tea ice cream with a candle!!! I will definitly be going back for lunch!!!!
Decent food, terrible service.
by jdelurgio
The food was good but the service was horrible. Went to W's on a Saturday night and we showed up 5 minutes early for our reservation but we were seated twenty minutes at a lousy table in the middle of traffic. The waiter did not show up for another 8 minutes, and then we waited a few minutes more before someone bothered to deliver water to the table (then another five minutes for our drinks).
Waited a while longer to order our food, and then after another long wait the waiter dropped by again and told us that he forgot our order! The food tasted good when it finally go to us, but I would probably not bother to return again.
