Yummy boba in the heart of Little Osaka
by marpop
This place is considered one of the originators of the boba craze and it's a good spot to get the tasty, gummy drink. The cafe is surpringly clean and modern and the service friendly.
- Pros: Clean cafe, tasty boba
- Cons: Parking can be hard to find
Progenitor of the L.A. boba craze, this laid-back strip mall cafe still packs 'em in.

Considered one of the original boba spots on the West Coast, this clean and inviting cafe has become synonymous with the popular Thai iced tea drink. Dark woods, earthen tones and recessed lighting create a warm atmosphere, while the broad selection of specialty drinks (milk tea, cappuccino, smoothies) keep the local patrons cool. Daily food specials are also available, including fare like popcorn chicken, fried squid balls and pork buns.
EXTREMELY HOT girls working there! Customer service is good enough for me!
by yoshijapan
Just went there for my first time yesterday, July 8, 2007. A/C was working really good. I have read the Reviews before I went there, all were negative about the girls. I'm a guy and some of the girls working there are really really hot looking. The cashier wasn't rude to me. I ordered a Jasmin Iced tea without sugar and it was ok. I'll tell you one thing, if I'm near Volcano Tea, I'm definitely going back!!! From Yoshi: abj1835@yahoo
- Pros: The employees (Girls), great music
beware- rude service
by juju13es
My friend and I came to order drinks here one day, and we were confronted with the worst service ever. My friend wasn't satisfied with her drink, so she went back to ask for a new one, but the lady working there was extremely rude to her, insisting that is just how the drink tastes like. After a bit of bickering, the lady snatched the drink from my friend and started (angrily) to make another drink. She was splishing and splashing all over the place and was talking to the other workers in what seemed to be an angry tone. My friend and I were pretty shocked at her blatant and uncourteous attitude. I'm never going back here again!
Great tea, but bad a$$service.

They have really good green tea drinks. I get tea here almost everyday for my caffeine kick. But they have the worst service ever. You have to say your order right or you will get the worst mean mug ever from a chic. And it not just one server, its a clan of rude workers who yell out "boba nai cha" and rarely say thank you. But there tea kicks a$$.
Horrible customer service

Don't go for their taro boba and definitely don't ever go for service. I'm really not a picky person but the workers at Volcano Tea are so rude and stubborn! I went there yesterday for the first time and ordered taro bubble tea, the slush kind and it tasted like ice. So I asked for an adjustment and they just fought me for 10 minutes and continued to talk about me in a language I couldn't understand and in a nasty tone. I felt horrible about the tea but more shocked as to why their service was so horrible. Their boba tasted hard and a bit sour too. Two Thumbs Down until they change their attitude and their taro. :(
- Pros: horrible boba, horrible taro, horrible service!
- Cons: not too expensive
Decent boba, many options
by cl_foodie
The boba here is decent, chewy, with a good texture. The milk tea is good, although not as good as you can get in Monterey Park. They also have other desserts like shaved ice which is not bad. It's a good place to sit down after dinner and hang out although there aren't many tables.
