Amazing service, great ambiance - what more could you ask for??

When I was searching for a new hair salon, I was very cautious because I had been going to a salon in Texas for the past 7 years and never thought that the time would come where I would be in a new location. I nervously booked an appointment at the salon that turned out to be something so exciting. I had an amazing experience at the Chris McMillan salon - the staff was nothing less than courteous and polite to me. When I called to make an appointment, they had no trouble booking me in less than 24 hours. Anya colored my hair - she listened very carefully to what I wanted and had me select several pictures just to be sure. She was very attentive and constantly checked on me to make sure that the color was what I wanted. She also gave me several tips on how to properly care for my hair type. When I asked her for a recommendation for a cut, she sent me to Jason. Jason was just as amazing - he knew my hair type like the back of his hand and knew what looked good on me, while also making sure that I was comfortable with my look. He took his time was extremely precise - he even taught me new ways to style my hair. I never knew that my fine, limp hair could have so much volume!! Overall, the salon was extremely clean and very professional. After reading reviews, I was expecting snotty clientele and uptight stylists but what I got was a complete 360. I was so happy with my color/cut that this will be my new place!! The only downside is the cost (which is very high compared to salons in TX, but it is LA) but you know what they say - you get what you pay for. I highly recommend this place if you want a salon that gives you personalized service, knows what they're doing, and has practically perfect results.

Erick Orellana at The Chris McMillan Salon - AMAZING!!!!

A friend told me about Erick Orellana at The Chris McMillan Salon in Beverly Hills, she said he was the best. I came to Erick with a color correction and boy was I happy! Erick took his time, helped me understand what needed to be done, he didn't give me all the BS that I normally get. He helped me understand that correct color takes time and technique. I have never had so many compliments on my hair... Erick is a life saver. I would recommend him to anyone! I will never go anywhere else!

Choose your stylist wisely

Jason used to be great, but being sought after has made him completely unreliable-- great when he's in the mood, but beware when he's not. I had an important function, said specifically I DID NOT WANT SHORT HAIR, and he cut it off anyway. One side of it, at least--when I started squealing, he said "We're DONE here" and walked away, virtually throwing me out of his chair with my hair half chopped off on one side. Once it's done, what can you do but cry? All this for $300.
Don't waste your time--unless you are a celebrity, Jason will not be that interested in giving you anything other than a half interested hack job while he chats with other clients and looks at himself in the mirror.

This Star Rating is Specifically for Hair Designer Ryan Crupi, formerly with Chris Mc Millian Salon and is now at Andy LeCompte in Beverly Hills.
Ok...never...NEVER have I had such an AMAZING experience as I had when I got my hair cut and blown out by Ryan Crupi! And I've been hooked ever since that first time. Ryan used to work at Chris Mc Millian Salon and just recently moved to Andy LeCompte in Beverly Hills - A ROCKIN' SALON!!
Anyway, for those of you who've had the pleasure of Ryan's MAGICAL hands touching your hair, you know what I'm talking about and I'm sure you're going to follow Ryan over to Andy LeCompte like I did. For those of you who haven't...YOU NEED TO!!
I am SUPER picky about my hair. I have LONG, medium-weight hair, and I LOVE the beachy "super model" look - you know, the flirty, long tresses that bounce about your face as you walk down the street - YEAH - THAT'S WHAT RYAN WILL DO FOR YOUR HAIR.
And I didn't even have to really tell him what I wanted the first time he cut my hair - it was crazy...I sat in his chair, he took one look at me, and he said, "I know exactly what you need." Then he showed me pictures of Kate Moss, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Giselle Bundchen and said, "You like their hair, don't you...?" (It was like, he KNEW what I wanted without even having to ask me.)
NEVER have I felt so SAFE in a hair designer's hands!! I said, "YES!" And I shut up, and let him work his MAGIC!
Not only do I LOVE my hair EVERY TIME I walk out of the salon, but Ryan cuts my hair in such a way that I don't have to get it cut but maybe once every 3 months!!! AND it's SUPER EASY to style in the mornings -- He actually cuts your hair for your lifestyle!!
I just CAN'T say enough about Ryan. He is truly AWESOME and I wil be a LOYAL client of his for the rest of my life!!! Ryan is a TRUE ARTIST...he can take one look at your face and your body type and know EXACTLY what would be the most flattering cut and style for you! I would follow Ryan no matter where he moves! Chris Mc Millian's Loss is Andy Le Compte's GAIN!!

BEST BLOWOUT I EVER HAD. ASK FOR RYAN

I came in on a request from a friend to get a blowout at this salon. when i got there it was just a beautiful salon to start & when i meet Ryan it was amazing. i let him do his thing and i couldn't have been happier. If i could i would come every week.

Never Been So Insulted

Chris McMillan was giving my model daughter a haircut- going from long hair to a shorter cut... he was talking about the cut and suggested bangs. I innocently said 'Hmmm...bangs, I don't know... He turned red, blew up at me and said What do you know? Look at you!"
Wow, looking back on it , we should have walked out right then. I did not say anything then, but I am saying something now, because that moment has stuck with me.. I had to post this because that kind of behavior was way out of line. Rude man. Beware the diva. By the way, that haircut decreased her bookings as well. He is not the genius he thinks he is. Sad, really.
P.S. I just read that Jennifer A. fired him! What goes around comes around. So good at kissing up to his celeb gal pals.. so fake. About time, Jen!!

Theodore Leaf is amazing

I can't say enough about Theodore. He gave me gorgeous, natural-looking, hand-painted highlights and the best cut of my life, all while being an absolute joy to spend the afternoon with.
I can't imagine ever letting anyone else touch my hair.

where do i start? Theodore is the best. He has colored my hair from red, brunette to blonde. From short to med to long. He really makes you feel beautiful. What else can you want from a stylist?

Brant @ Chris Macmillan is the best haircutter I've eve had! I've had my hair cut by some of the best stylists in the world, and never been so happy. He cuts my hair so well, I only need to get it done every three months, instead of two normally, so the price is well worth it.

NO Beverly Hills attitude here-- I was shocked. I was actually nervous to go due to the location, but I will follow Jason Townsend anywhere. Jason was my stylist at juan jaun in Brentwood and he is AWESOME so when he went to Chris McMillan I was nervous about going to such a high end salon, but I found it very warm, and comfortable for a salon with such a high profile. The first time I saw Jason it was like watching an artist while he cut my hair and gave me an unbelievable blow-out. He's totally down-to-earth and funny. The first time he cut my hair literally played with my hair for 5 minutes or so to get a feel for it before recommending what he thought we should do (no pressure). I loved his ideas and recommendations and now I always have REALLY gorgeous hairstyles that is also very easy to style. I found my new salon!

Amazing Stylist in Beverly Hills

I had the best experience at the Chris McMillan Salon. I was referred by a women i met shopping. Her hair was amazing and i asked her where she got it done, she said Ryan Crupi @ Chris McMillan Salon. He was incredible, very focused, and gave me his complete attention. I've had good haircuts before, but nothing compared to what Ryan gave me. It cost me $250 for the haircut and it was worth every penny. Not to mention the salon was so warm and welcoming. It was an all around great experience.
