Melrose shoe boutique offers racy styles for fashion risk-takers.

The Scene
The white, minimal decor offers unfettered views of true shoe art. Men's footwear is on the left, women's on the right, and the store's owner, Alan, is smack in the middle. The son of established Melrose shoe designer Tony K has branched out on his own, competing directly with Dad. Alan welcomes shoppers and works hard to sell customers on his unique designs.

The Goods
All shoes are either imported from Italy or designed and made by Alan and his craftsmen. Men's and women's styles range in price from $55 to $2,000. Though the men's shoes are made of supple materials in hip styles, the women's shoes are the true stand-outs. All are equipped with ultra-high heels, yet are remarkably comfortable thanks to thick padding and superior design. Each one has various, somewhat busy adornments, making these shoes perfect for a music video or a night on the town.
