Excellent!!!

by fabidol

Took my boyfriend to Mckenna's for his birthday and it was our first time there. We both loved it. The steaks/seafood is great but you can't leave without trying their millionaire margaritas. The best!!!

prepare to wait an eternity for food to arrive

by dracon

After heading out on a wonderful reggae boat party cruise, our group of 6 decided to dine at the Famous Mckennas's. The music was good, so was the atmosphere. The one thing that disappointed us was the attention and poor service offered by the server. We waited approximately ONE hour for our dinner plate to be served. To make matters worse, our waitress checked in with us and stated we would be comped for our meal, but later changed her words and stated only the steak ordered was to be comped. If you are looking for good quality, just go down the block to Joe's Crab Shack... or even In-N-Out!

  • Pros: dim lit, marina view
  • Cons: PARKING!! POOR ATTITUDE FROM SERVER

Spectacular View, Exceptional Cuisine & Atmosphere, Fantastic Entertainment

by FredG53

A group from the office enjoyed Lunch at Mckenna's on a Monday . . . found out they had Live Entertainment Wed thru Sun. . . so the group of us returned on Friday, for our "TGIF gathering" and were more than pleased. We made reservations and our table was waiting when we arrived. Everyone really enjoyed Hal Ratliff & Lee Ferrell, outstanding musicians, a must see! We were very impressed with the comfortable feeling we received from the other guests, it had a "Cheers" atmosphere. Not to mention the food and service was 5 star.

Romantic Ambiance~Magnificant Waterfront Sunsets~Excellent Fine Dining

by patipurr

Made a memory of a lifetime. . . what an evening. . . Our group of 14 celebrated our Holiday Birthdays at McKenna's. . the service was 5 star . . the view was even better . . . then came the meal which topped it all!

The Top Sirloin came out the precise shade of pink that says, ?medium rare?. The prawns were enormous and the batter was ?tempura-like?. Our entree?s came with a salad and I ordered the house Caesar salad and my friend had the House Chop-Chop, both excellent, and the entire group raved about their meals. The double crusted sourdough bread comes hot from the oven every 15 minutes, watch that you don't fill up on it before dinner.

The entertainment was wonderful . . . the Holiday mood was set. There is also an outdoor patio, not just for drinks and snacks but full service lunches and dinners are served on the patio under the skies with a Full waterfront view, sailboats passing by, it was gorgeous. The double crusted sourdough bread comes hot from the oven every 15 minutes.

Two of the couples have already made our reservation for a romantic Valentine's Day Dinner. I HIGHLY recommend McKenna's, we plan to make it a "Tradition".

Delicious food in a romantic setting.

by sparklesarah

This is a terrific place for steaks and seafood, and a perfect place for a romantic date (as long as it isn't too busy). Once it gets busy it gets NOISY. Thankfully we made reservations and asked for a quiet table in the other room. It made all the difference! Service was excellent and knowledgeable. The prices aren't cheap (every dinner is over $20), so this is more of a special occasion type place. But it isn't one of those places where you have to order your salad and your baked potato separate from your steak - all that good stuff is included. And the Sunday prime rib special is a good deal because it includes dessert as well, for $24.95. I can't wait to go back!

  • Pros: Service, Ambience, Views
  • Cons: Pricey, Can be noisy

Fabulous Seafood!

by nikohail

This is my favorite restraunt for seafood. My husband says the steaks are pretty darn good too. My only complaint is that, when crowded, it gets really noisy....but the quality of food and service outweighs that tiny complaint.

I highly recommend this restruant.
