sushi sushi sushi !!! doesn't get any better...

first date is a MUST ! ! !

my experience at Z Sushi was fun filled and memorable from day one to now almost every friday over the past 15 months. the sushi bar is a perfect size for you and your date or small party. the food is always fresh and never disappointing. i just wish they were open later everyday... thats my only complaint but then again it keeps me on my toes for that next day :)

i've brought friend, dates, neighbors and kids. they have a kids menu and two rooms away from the sushi bar if you like to be "alone". the main drinking bar serves more like a bonus... i wouldn't go there for just a drink or to watch sports. its not rowdy enough for that type of horse play.

Good food and friendly service

We've been going to Z sushi for 5 years now and it has never let us down. The fish is on the most part fresh and well prepared. The chefs are young but seem to know their stuff. I see and recognize plenty of returning patrons so something keeps bringing us back. Great place!

• Cons: at a weird corner of the street and might be hard to get to

if the answer is yes then Z-sushi is the place for you. the food is always fresh and well prepared, the entire staff are friendly and competent. i have been dining at Z-sushi for about 6 years now and i enjoy it more and more every time i go...

Z Sushi is horrid!!!!

This is a family oriented sushi place, so it you want to have fun with friends DO NOT GO THERE!!!! The sushi was ok, however, they got our order wrong a few times. The waitresses were not apologetic about the mistakes, and tried to say that it was our faults. We were out for a girlfriend's birthday, and we were trying to have a good time. Regardless, they brought the check before we even asked for it, which pretty meant that we had to leave. Do not go there, if you would like FUN.

I love their sushi!!!!!

I go here all the time. And every time I go it's a good experience. We always sit at the sushi bar and the sushi chefs know us already and they always know what we want. The entire staff is friendly. I love this place. Sushi is super fresh and it's inexpensive. I totally recommend it. Their Oysters are delish. Their namahage sake is excellent.

Great place to get sushi. We didn't sit at the sushi bar, so couldn't comment on what the service was like from what some of the other reviewers were saying. However the service we recieved at the tables was great. Overall recommend.

YUCK YUCK YUCK

Ok I?ve been to MANY MANY MANY sushi places here in LA and this is one of the worst. First off and this may not matter to some of you but they have a B health dept rating. IMO a sushi restaurant should have an A. The sushi chef was not helpful nor did he seem to care about his job, when I asked him what was good today, he said everything. When I asked him if he had dungeonous crab he said no I have blue crab, but that his favorite was king crab. I said OK I?ll have king crab, he said no we don't have that. I said OK I?ll have blue crab he said no we don't have that?... On to the food. It was BELOW average not horrible not good, it was bad. The tuna was poor quality light pink not a nice deep red hue, it was tough and poorly cut. The albacore while tender to the mouth had a horrible "kitchen cleaner" aftertaste. The scallop was tough and old, and the eel was undercooked and gooey. So I figured maybe this is a roll place and I ordered a spicy tuna roll the spices used in their spicy tuna were bland and un appetizing. I would not recommend the sushi at this place to anyone, they did have cooked items on the menu too but if your going to name your restaurant "something sushi" I?d expect it to be decent and this was quite BAD. The prices were good so I?ll give them that and the waitress was friendly. OH and the guy that fills up your green tea was great very attentive LOL but the food eck YUCK.

Awesome Sushi !!!

I higlhly recommend this place. My wife and I were looking for a local sushi bar and decided to try this place since it was close to us. The sushi was yummy... the fish was fresh, the service was friendly and were quick on there toes. Atmosphere was inviting and family oriented, overall a great place to come back and have good sushi.

Great Service and Good Food

I've been here a couple of times and really enjoyed it...the servers were courteous and always made sure that things were going well without being intrusive, and the food was quite good. Try the toro...def a good cut to get...anyhow, i came both as a small group and large and they were cool with both. Try them out
