good service, open late, certain menu items are good
by miriya52 at Citysearch
I went to Noodle World twice, first in Pasadena and then in Alhambra. Both times the service was pretty good. In Pasadena, I got the ramen which I didn't particularly like. The flavor was really off from what I expected it to be. The second time I went was in Alhambra since we were looking for a place open late. We just drove around Alhambra and this was the first place that looked like it was jam packed with people at 11pm. It is a huge restaurant so that is quite impressive. This time I got the teo chew noodles which I really liked... it is a better version of the Tung Kee teo chew noodles. My friend got spareribs and some thai rolls which she thought was pretty tasty. I'm planning to go back to the Pasadena one and see if their teo chew is as good. I would recommend Noodle World, but you should probably get recommendations for specific menu items ahead of time.
- Pros: inexpensive, good service, certain menu items are good
- Cons: parking
The place is not at all pleasant
by tacotaste at Citysearch
This place is always busy. But oh, boy, it smells so bad from the parking lot all the way to inside restaurant. They need to improve their ventilation better.
- Pros: lots of dishes
- Cons: service, atmosphere, smell
Around midnight, young neighborhood hipsters frequent this bustling noodle house.

In Short
Cool teens and 20-somethings crowd the booths at this busy late-night joint, which hops until 1am. The inexpensive menu has 125 items to choose from, including salads, noodle soups, pan-fried noodles and rice dishes. Huge, steaming bowls of noodle soups arrive floating with seafood, wontons and meat, and late-night munchies are sated by deep-fried catfish, roast duck and garlic spare ribs.
Pretty good place for Pho
by zamboni071 at Citysearch
I sometimes get a craving for this Vietnamese soup called Pho. It consists of rice noodles, broth and thinly sliced meat of choice. Plum sauce & hot sauce is then added to taste. It is then garnished with fresh uncooked bean sprouts, slices of jalapeno, rau hung basil, and freshly chopped onions. This place has an "A" on the window and this scored big points with me. Although the service is not the best, the food was good (which is typical of these types of restuarants). I would deifnitely go back. It's worth putting up with the mediocre sevice for the quality of food.
- Pros: Good food
- Cons: Poor service
Cash only

This place is great especially for large groups. There is usually a LONG wait time so be ready to wait. It is cash only so have your wallets full. There is also a Boba place inside the restaurant where you can drink while you wait or order from at your table. Service is ok... waiters are not that nice, kinda rude and you have to double check your order, they tend to mix it up at times. Other than that the food is great!!
A great restaurant

If you want to try good thai, chinese and vietnamese food go to noodle world. It is affordable and delicious. I would like to recommend the charbroiled pork chops and the spicy pan fried. These are two of the many favorites I have in this restaurant. My children are picky eaters and they eat happily in this restaurant. Don't forget your cash. They don't accept credit cards.
- Pros: good quality food, affordable meals, excellent portions
- Cons: crowded on weekends , No reservations , Pay Cash only
Asian Fast Food to the Fullest
by mistakac at Citysearch
You can't beat the variety of dishes offered here. Mainly a Thai-Chinese based menu but most dishes hit the mark in flavor and quantity for this style of restaurant. My favs, Noodel world Tom Yum (A little spicy, a little sour, a lot of flavor), Lard Nah(Even some traditional Thai restaurants don't come close the way Noodle World properly prepares this dish), and if you still have room try a drink from Boba World(if you like Tapioca balls and milk tea, lots of good flavors to choose from)
- Pros: Service, Variety, Inexpensive
Wham, bam, thank you m'aam!!

It's good for a quickie on....say a late Tuesday night or so. I never have any problems with bad service there. The only thing is waiting for a booth, I couldn't sit at the tables (don't know why, maybe that's the only reason I'll go.If they take away the booths tomorrow, I'll never go back?) The food: dollar for value is excellent, you won't find this anywhere. The taste is satifactory and the place is good for conversation piece.
- Pros: won't go broke, late nights (1 a.m.)
- Cons: , parking
Out of this world bad!

If you're looking for a place that actually cares about their customers, stay away from Noodle World! The service was pitiful each occasion I have dined there. All they seem to want to do is throw you a bowl of wontons and expect you to finish it in a matter of seconds. Where would I get this assumption? Each time they toss the check on our table well before we were finished dining. Not only that, their utensils and drinks were filthy. The food was very typical, so I guess it's true... you get what you pay for.
- Pros: Open late, Inexpensive
- Cons: Service, Ambience, Bad parking
Nothing More...

I have gone to Noodle World on a couple occasions. But that didn't mean that this restaurant was my first pick. It was probably my last choice to dine out with friends or even my significant other. I have to agree that the food is better than many places in the Alhambra/Monterey Park area, but the service and the crowd definitely brought down the overall value of this restaurant. On some of these occasions, the services was quite awful and the waitors weren't so friendly. They rather look forward for your tips then ask you if you want a refill of tap water. I wasn't very happy with some of their attitudes, especially from some of the men. The Asian "hipsters" who crowd around this joint are nothing more than locals from around the area. Some of them are just your average Joes or moms with their friends.
- Pros: Inexpensive, Homey atmosphere
- Cons: Bad service, Small parking ot, Crowded on some night
