Unbelievable experience

by jkxwright

Waited for 45 minutes to get in this place; was waiting in line with ONLY 6 other people. But..

Once I was let in and went upstairs, I was greeted by amazing music (80's them the entire night), amazing drinks, beautiful people, everyone dancing, unbelievable experience, would go here again over Coco De Ville. 6 stars out of 5; had a great time and no I don't work there.

  • Pros: crowd, drinks, music, atmosphere
  • Cons: none

BARDOT HOLLYWOOD

by WordToYourMOTHA

Monday nights here are always a bliss, people dance and aren?t to "cool" to dance. I love the old school entertainment (a good change from the norm Hollywood clubs where people like to stare at each other and not talk).

LOVE THE DANCERS and BAND!

Burlesque dancers are always a fun event.

One thing to change is Ryan Gosling needs to stick to acting and stay away from a DJ booth.

The exclusive hideaway formerly known as Spider Club crawls back into the limelight with a nod to 21st century glitz and Roaring 20s glam.

by Mar Yvette

In Short
With the same people behind its previous incarnation as Spider Club, this VIP hideaway above the Avalon has traded in the 70s-style Moroccan theme for a decidedly more roaring time and place: Hollywood's Golden Age. Debuting in October 2008, the club is comprised of three spaces--the intimate bar/lounge where tufted banquettes brush against golden ocher walls (and Violet chef Jared Simons dishes out the "promiscuous dining" small plates he's made famous); an open-air courtyard where smokers can get thier vice on; and the tent room, replete with sconces, chandeliers and, you guessed it, billowy ceiling tents--the club is still aimed at luring in much the same crowd. Those braving the mad crush at the bottom of the art deco stairway will no doubt find themselves rubbing elbows with shade-wearing scenesters (even though it's 11pm), part-time models and well-connected party people before getting indoors to spot a few good celebs ... yes, that's Ryan Gosling on the turntable.

definitely check it out

by phomama

it won't be everyone's cup of tea. well if ur a midwestern tourist forget about it. thiss place exudes cool and if you're not cool you will feel really misplaced. it's the kind of place where artists and innovators hangout, not 9-5ers. it's filled with intellectuals who are hip, the menu is fabulous, and it's just a gorgeous vibe. i will personally be here as much as i can!

  • Pros: ambience, food
  • Cons: parking

Great Place!

by HollywoodParty

I went last night and I had a great time. The place was beautifully decorated and the people were great. Drinks were good. I didnt have any trouble getting in either. I didnt go downstairs I was just in the Spider Club. Downstairs looked way to packed for me. I would just rather stay upstairs. But the people were nice, good music, strong drinks, and amazing decorations. I will for sure go back.

  • Pros: Ambience, drinks, and crowd

Beautiful Place

by talulaknuckles

Spider is really beautiful--the immediate inside is small but when they open up the back room for overflow or special events its really amazing! Sometimes the drinks are expensive but for the most part they do great drink specials. Its loungy and fun for being an A-list place.

  • Pros: ambience, close parking
  • Cons: lines at the door,

by dylan33

oooh the spider club. haha. I can't even write a review because it's just an overpriced closet. Good drinks tho, but wow.. expensive.

  • Pros: the place to be "seen"
  • Cons: expensive, crowded, I got groped
