Bartender was so unprofessional

by AnaD7 at Citysearch

I've been going to this bar for years with my boyfriend and friends. However, last time I was there with a group of friends the bartender was so rude and unprofessional that we had to leave the place because we felt like we couldn't stay there any longer. We got there early, and order drinks, by the time my boyfriend got his change back and started counting to leave her a tip, she said out loud, " You know I don't work for free!" We were stunned by her words and she replied to us saying She doesn't make drinks for free. we told her how unprofessional she was and she didn't give a damn. We told her we didn't want the drinks anymore and she only gave us half of the money. (I understand people have shity days but she didn't have to take it on us.) We asked to talk to the person in charge but no one was there to talk to. It was really lame, I never want to go back there again. How can a bar have employees like her serving the crowd?! So much lack of customer service.

  • Pros: The bar is a cool, layback place.
  • Cons: The service and unprofessionalism.

Dark and Intimate, but just OK!!!!

by filmm8kr900 at Citysearch

Well I have been to NoBar only a couple of times and each time is less exciting than the next. I consider myself and my friends to be funa dn crazy people and this place is not right for you if you want that. The drink prices are average bar prices, $4/5 beers, $10 cocktails. The bar service is usually attentive and pour good strong drinks. The jukebox has a good variety of music to choose from, but the crowd is usually uneventful. The parking outside is minimal but the street parking is sometimes available, if it isn't I just leave, its not worth it. The lighting is dark and intimate and there is a a pool table in the back, $1 a game. Try it out for yourself, it ain't too bad, but ain't great either.

Great drinks and great music

by kflynn25 at Citysearch

Best place to go in the valley. Hands down. Great staff. I miss the bald white guy who used to work the door there. Always so friendly and funny. The current staff is still a lot of fun though. One of the best jukeboxes in town.

  • Pros: Great staff, great music, strong drinks
  • Cons: Wish it was in Hollywood

The BESTEST bar in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!!

by YouChutUp at Citysearch

Seriously folks, if you're looking for a chill/loungey kind of bar, this is the spot. It has a pool table, three sections (rooms) that have comfortable seating, and a great juke box that is updated regularly. The bartenders pour with a heavy hand so you never feel cheated on a weak drink and they remember you from one visit to the next. They even have hooks on the underside of the bar to hang your purse on; great to not have to put stuff down on a wet bar.

Great place to make your regular bar. And once you're trashed, they'll call the cab for you!

Cheers!!!

  • Pros: Strong Drinks, Ambience, Jukebox, Service

The Vibe Is Right!

by antonhollywood at Citysearch

This is just a fun nostalgic bar that you can take good friends to and kick back with some good music and a drink in your hand. I loved it becuase the atmosphere and people are very inviting but it doesn't sacrifice style for those qualities. The pool table is great for competitive fun with friends and the overall vibe is young & cool. The staff was very nice and it was the kind of place that you just feel like you know everyone and have been coming there for years as soon as you walk in the door.

  • Pros: Great Bartender, Fun atmosphere, Positive Vibe

this place makes the valley look good

by crazybone at Citysearch

some people say the valley has no class; i say take them to No Bar and prove them wrong. this place has the feel of a pseudo-hipster bar in silver lake, or a stylish bar in hollywood. The parking is easy, the mood is relaxed but not like you'd fall asleep, and the bar itself is filled with fun people. There is a juke-box with some sweet choices, a pool table, and candle-light. i have been there on a tuesday night and a saturday night, and i say that both left me drunk and happy.

  • Pros: easy parking, not pretentious
  • Cons: no dancing really

Great place to hang your hat and let go.

by jojocool at Citysearch

Great to meet and great new people with bartenders who are friendly and actually listen to you. Great atmosphere and jukebox. It's a real people friendly bar with many locals and for the prices you can't beat them in the valley. It makes you feel like you're at home and the drinks are the best... These bartenders really know how to make great drinks at low prices! It's defiantly a must goto place here in Burbank.

  • Pros: Drink prices, bartendars, atmosphere
  • Cons: none

NoHo cocktail lounge combines Hollywood appeal with a warm neighborhood feel.

by Contributor at Citysearch

The Scene
This low-key lounge has a similar look and feel, complete with accessible booth seating, dim lighting and an eclectic jukebox, which features everything from Jay Z to the Smiths. Brown, gold and red felt-lined walls, stained-glass bar backdrop, pool table and sports-tuned TV set a relaxed living-room vibe where reasonably priced drinks flow as easily as the conversation.

The Draw
The talkative crowd consists of local regulars and Hollywood hipsters, many of whom frequent the owners' other establishments. Most come in groups, so patrons looking to pick up usually end up packing up after a couple of early rounds. It's loud, but not obnoxious, and the mood is mellow, which makes it a great place to chat and chill.
