My go to place for weekend coffee
by kara nortman
I love walking here with my daughter on saturday mornings. S Beverly blvd has so many coffee options, that to win the saturday morning battle is a biggie for me. Why? Well, the outdoor patio, heat lamps and overall feel of the place just do it for me. The wait staff is helpful, particularly if are dealing with strollers and hot beverages (never a good combo). The food options are more varied than the other local coffee spots (Peet's, Starbucks, Coffee Bean)- oatmeal, french toast, soup, sandwiches, you name it
- Pros: coffee, tea and baked goods
- Cons: sometimes hard to get a table (but usually ok)
Attention All Coffee & Dessert Lovers <3
by Miss Amy
I've been to the Melrose & Beverly Urth, and always prefer coming to the Beverly location. The people that come here tend to live or work in the area, whereas the Melrose Urth has blown up to unspeakable paparazzi proportions thanks to Entourage!
Spanish Latte - Ordered with non-fat milk, strong espresso & easy on the condensed milk. This allows me to be able to eat dessert without having too sweet a drink to pair it with.
Egg Sandwich - Only served at breakfast! Who knew avocado & sliced cheese on top of an egg would be so delightful.
Fruit Plate - Thinly sliced with a dollop of creamy yogurt in the center for dipping. They put seasonal as well as specialty fruit on top (e.g. Dragonfruit, red oranges, plums & yellow kiwi) along with your standard melon & berries.
Desserts - Unsure of what to get & don't want to spend $7? Look on the far right and/or bottom section for "Bake Sale" items. These are usually only $2-$4 and are only a few hours old. Usually they are trying to get rid of the breakfast items by 3 PM. Great deal!
Try: Pumpkin Pie, Oreo Cheesecake, Blueberry Cheesecake, Fruit Tart, Lemon Poppy seed Pound Cake, Blackout Chocolate Pound Cake, or Pecan Pie.
- Pros: Spanish Latte, Desserts, Fruit Plate, People Watching
- Cons: Parking can be difficult (Tip: Use the $2 parking lot)
Best Pumpkin Pie on Earth.
by malasay
Read other reviews for details on drinks salads sandwiches etc. All I want to say: BEST PUMPKIN PIE. I think they sell the whole one (it's huge) for $40. Or by the slice if you please.
- Pros: Chill spot, decent food, many teas.
- Cons: Slightly Overpriced
best urth location i've tried
by casualcat
in my opinion, this is the best urth location i've been too. I have yet to visit the santa monica one and the new one downtown. I didn't mind the melrose one, but after my trip the beverly location, i was hooked! The service and the people are great. its a great spot to go to and have a dessert and coffee, but their food is great as well! if you like tea, they will have a great recommendation for you if you want to try something new!
- Pros: everything about this place is great
- Cons: parking is along the street and can be difficult at times unless you valet.
Good location and GREAT pumpkin pie
by jenheidir
Located right in the center of the popular Beverly Blvd restaurant strip between Wilshire and Olympic boulevards, this cafe serves up DELICIOUS, fresh and organic sandwiches and salads. Their plentiful and rich dessert options are just as satisfying, particularly their graham-cracker crust pumpkin pie. And their Spanish latte with honey is one of my favorite coffee drinks ever! Parking is cheap; free until 6pm at the garage nearly across the street and only $2-ish afterwards. The negatives: It can often be hard to get a seat, and the homeless sometimes approach you to ask for money if you?re sitting outside closer to the street. However, equally is likely at this location is that you?ll spot a celebrity.
- Pros: food, coffee, dessert, parking
- Cons: lack of seating
Excellent coffee and outdoor seating
by simplesbest
Great place to sip aromatic coffee whie enjoying the outdoor patio or cozy fireplace inside. It's in easy walking distance from where I live and some cute shops so I've worked my way through a considerable portion of the menu - oatmeal , omelettes, and paninis are nothing to write home about; salads, soups, and sweets (particularly their hazelnut chocolate croissant and decadent, warm bread pudding with baked apple or banana on top) are worthwhile. Service is generally friendly and helpful, though there is sometimes a gentleman controlling the flow of the tables outside who can be a bit abbrasive.
- Pros: Excellent coffee, outdoor seating and indoor fireplace, organic + healthy options
- Cons: Guy who conducts the flow of outdoor seating on busy days can be a bit rough
A little more hastle than it's worth

Chicken tamales were ok, but not for $10.
Not the best choice for lunch in Beverly Hills, but nothing else seemed like a good idea that day
Good place to hang out with tasty, healthy food
by finedine2008
The chicken curry salad/ sandwich is one of my favorite items on the menu. It's a cold cut sandwich and the chicken curry is very strong with curry spices (BUT not hot at all). Most items on the menu are quite light and healthy. If you are looking for more fulfilling food, they have excellent panini melts too.
As for their desserts, I would recommend the tiramisu and the napoleon cake.
best coffee in LA, great outdoor seating, friendly staff
by hiseema
This place made my move to LA worthwhile. In an otherwise urban city teeming with Hollywood superstars and dog leash-clad actors, the ambiance, atmosphere and--most importantly--FOOD at this restaurant is a welcomed respite from the "rest." (My friend saw Meg Ryan there last week so, its not "star-free," but we're in LA people . . . we don't even expect "star-free!").
I highly recommend the Spanish Latte. Throw back one of these and, coffee will never be the same to you, I swear.
- Pros: outdoor seating, amazing coffee, creative menu
- Cons: long wait in line
Best Vegan Chocolate Cake EVER
by laveg
One slice is more than enough for two people... I eat half and don't need chocolate again for at least a week! The place is open late, which is nice, but sometimes they are OUT OF THE VEAGN CHOCOLATE CAKE late at night. So, so disappointing when that happens. Good soy lattes, too.
