absolutely recommended!

victor is fantastic! i went to him for help after i dyed my highlighted hair dark brown. he performed an absolute miracle and returned it back to a delightful, flattering blonde in 2 hours with zero damage. honestly, my hair has felt much healthier since he colored it than it did prior to the service. he also gave me what i think is the best haircut i've ever had - it looks great and it's incredibly easy to deal with. it's been two weeks and the cut and color still look wonderful and i've received tons of compliments. he's also really knowledgeable about hair and explains everything he is doing - which was great for me because i was slightly terrified about how my hair would turn out.

If you want to be treated like a human being....

I have been driving down from Ojai, CA to have my haircut by Victor for a little over two years. I guess you could say I'm hooked. It is a bit of a hassle to make a whole day's drive for a haircut! but it is worth it. I have tried other local stylists and I just can't seem to establish the rapport that is needed to fully TRUST someone with my hair. But I do trust Victor. He has found his place in the sun. He was meant to cut hair. He loves it and it shows. He listens. He is honest. He is talented, skillful, knowledgeable, and has a great outlook on life. I'd always wanted to let my hair grow long but it seems like I have spent years recovering from decent to outright bad haircuts! With Victor, my short-to-long hair transformation looked fabulous every step of the way. My haircuts hold their style for months and when it is time for a touch up Victor always seems to know just what to do to keep my hair looking great. I trust him with my hair and you will too!

Best Stylist in the World

I grew up going to barbershops and then salons, never finding anyone who made my hair look good. I need to have shorter hair because of my career field, but grew up only loving my long surfer locks, that is, until Victor. I have lived all over Western Europe and the US Coastlines and have never found anyone better than him. Never found anyone close to him. He is, as so many others have stated, the best hair stylist in the world. I send every man and woman I know to him, from basic styles to the most demanding color jobs. Everyone I send to him ends up taking me out to dinner to thank me. One colleague even gifted me Dodger baseline box seats.

Amazing LA stylist!!!!!

Victor is a wonderful stylist! I've been in LA for three years and have tried so many stylists and have been completely underwhelmed. Coming from New York as many of us do, we feel spoiled by price and talent. Victor is the best around and priced fairly considering the average rates in LA. He listens and treats you like a princess, (in a good way). His color is flawless and natural and the cut was perfect. I'm so glad I found him.

Best cut and color in L.A.

I first found Victor while looking for someone to cut my husband's hair. Victor did such an amazing job that I left my old stylist and started going to him myself for cut and color. Not only does he give me fantastic haircuts and amazing, beautiful color, he really listens to what I want and discusses the process and outcome before I even put on a robe. I recently went from blond (which I have been working at for over ten years now) to my natural color and Victor did it so seamlessly and naturally I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. He talks to me the whole time about what he is doing and how my specific hair type will respond to the treatment. He also gives me great advice for taking care of my hair at home and turned me onto products that have changed my life. MikiSharon (the salon) is upscale, beautiful and has delicious espresso. If I ever move out of LA, I might have to travel back every time I need my hair done!!

Amazing job, reasonable prices, best colorist in town!

I've been living in Los Angeles for more than four years. In that time, I've hopped around from salon-to-salon in search of a stylist/colorist who I could call my own. I finally found him in Victor Hugo. Victor takes everything into account: your skin tone, eyebrow color, eyecolor, hair texture, hair length, etc when coloring your hair. I have dark ash blonde hair naturally and I walked out of the salon with gorgeous, natural-looking highlights -- exactly what I asked for. I haven't been this happy in years. Victor's friendly to talk with, extraordinarily experienced and a wonderful stylist. I'll be recommending him to all of my friends.

Best color I have had in LA

After living in LA for three years(relocating from Texas), I have had more than my fair share of bad hair cuts/colors. I always ask for a gentle blond as if I have been in the sun, not harsh or platinum, which is what I have ended up with. Victor did an amazing color correction on me, as well as deep conditioning my hair, and giving me a great cut without taking off too much of the length. He has a positive attitude and really takes the time to talk to his clients and find out what they are looking for.

Genuine talent

I had wanted to change hair stylists for a while, as I felt that my 2 previous Beverly Hills stylists pretty much ignored my wishes, never suggested anything new, and did more damage than any good to my hair. I didn't really know where to go to, as I was afraid of ending up with yet another one of those stylists who make it sound like bleached highlights, weird choppy layers and stringy ends for $300 is the best thing for me.

When I stumbled upon CitySearch and saw how many great reviews Victor Hugo has, I felt a sense of hope again! People are much more outspoken about negative experiences than good ones, and since there were no horror stories I decided to give him a try. I was able to get an appointment in just a few days from my initial call.

Victor is, price-wise, right in the middle ($135 for a cut) - and I got THE BEST color and cut I've had in years!!! This guy is a WIZARD and worth every penny!!!! He totally fixed the damage the others had done while still keeping most of the length and softening up the layers. I received a low-maintenance cut (I'm not able to handle a round brush and a blowdryer simultaneously if my life pended on it) and some well-placed lowlights to assure that there will be no harsh lines as my roots grow in. I still (3 days and a wash later) can?t believe how healthy and bouncy my hair is again!

Victor is a very genuine and lovely person. He is a stylist with true passion, talent and skill to make people look and feel beautiful.

The salon was easy to find, had a very pleasant and relaxing ambiance, and was sparkly-clean.

Amazing Color and Cut!

I was at wits end with my hair, I really needed a professional to give me a great style before an important business engagement! I called Victor and he fit me in the next morning! Although I have a corporate job, I wanted something young and "in". Victor new exactly what to do! I gave him a broad idea of what I wanted and he came up with the PERFECT mix of color to give me natural beautiful low lights that are perfectly placed. Not only did he did I get the best color job ive ever got, He is extremely down to earth and wonderful to be around. If you have to sit in a chair for two hours DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR, and go see Victor. You will not be disappointed!

My hair is healthy again!

Thanks to Victor my hair feels better than ever! Victor spent time with me, and told me what he felt my hair needed. He saw "who" I was and heard what I was interested in for my hair color and cut, but also told me what he felt suited my face and coloring. Victor repaired my hair with a deep protein conditioner, which made my hair feel sooo much healthier. I have never had my hair colored by someone so talented. Victor knows how to enhance a person's natural features with the cut and the color. I came in with a long, dry, blonde mop of hair, because someone had used bleach on my normally strawberry blonde color. I am now back to an enhanced version of my natural hair color. I left feeling revived, and will be back for more hair cuts in the future. Not only is he talented, but he is a great person too! Highly recommended!

OK, you've won me!

I am flying into LA next week and was looking for a great stylist to give me a great cut and colour. I was intending to book at Jonathon's only because I saw his reality show on TV (yes in Norway),but after comparing reviews, I've been won over by the underdog.....here's my first impressions anyway....I called Jonathons before opening time and was advised by the answering machine to call back as "this machine does not take messages"....hmmm (why else does one have a machine then) I wondered...... Is this the price of fame ?

Not being one to be turned away, I looked elsewhere (Jonathon, you really need to improve your customer service for the well wont always be full-and speaking from a potential customer's pov, it tarnished your image to be turned away like this before I've even gotten in the door!

So, glaring in the shadows, no doubt, was another, Victor Hung, and while the name sounds vaguely familiar (like a far reaching successful ad campaign had somewhere somehow pierced my psychy at some point back in time) I can't say I knew of him.....

To the point, I read the reviews and was greatly impressed so I'm going to take a leap of faith and venture into the unknown (I mean what can be worse than a walk in, in a foreign non english speaking country and using sign language to ask for a cut - yes, uha, that's me - never again!!)...so i called their number and got the answering machine (again i called before opening time) but I got a friendly message asking me to leave my number and someone would call back.....I liked that....

So already I have a favourable impression of Victor Hugo salon so stay tuned to find out what happens......
