THE Best Groomers in L.A.

We LOVE Tailwashers! We have been to many different groomers in the L.A. and Los Feliz area and they are by far the most professional, clean, and talented. Sabina does an amazing job and gave our 3 dogs the best haircuts they have ever had. They also send your pets home with thorough Health Report Cards, so you know they truly pay attention to detail. Take your pets to them, you won't be disappointed.

best dog shop

They've got great selection of toys, food, treats, and other stuff for my dogs and they always have a treat for them at checkout. Best part is that on Tuesdays, a portion of the sales go to animal charity.

The worst service ever

This place need to learn something about service. I walked in the other day, and there was two workers behind the counter, totally ignored my presence, never bothered to say hello, or do you need anything. Made me feel unwelcome. They were horrible, especially for what they charge. At least a Hello would have been nice.

I will not go back there again.

Tail Washer's saved my tail...

The other day, I decided my 4 pound Pomeranian would be an absolute show stopper with a Lion cut. Since he was already half way there (I keep his hair short) I thought, "Hmmm... I own clippers. He is shockingly well behaved. Plus I am curiously dextrous. I can totally do this myself." But I was a fool! And my poor Leonardo ended up looking like bald Britney. But worse.

I had precious few hours to get young Leo back into shape before his disapproving of a Lion Cut Dad came home. Time was of the essence. There was a frantic drive to THREE different pet groomers! No one would take him on such short notice. Then I remembered Tailwashers.

Thankfully, they were kind enough to squeeze me in (and they were busy) Sabine, pet stylist extraordinaire, was not only METICULOUS and thorough, she clearly has genuine love for animals. The cherry on top of their exceptional service? I received a follow up phone call the next day to make sure I was satisfied with Leo's look and to thank me for my business!!! Who does that? TAILWASHER'S does, that's who.

I don't live nearby, but I will never bring Leo anywhere else.

A+ and 5 stars across the board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eco-Friendly Products and Knowlegeable Staff

I am simply impressed. In my opinion, Tailwaggers is strides ahead of other stores in California in presenting nutritious and environmentally friendly products. In fact, I discovered a gem of an organic pet food for my dog with Paw Naturaw, America's first line of USDA certified organic, raw, frozen diets for dogs. On top of offering amazing foods and hip accessories, the knowledgeable staff will answer your questions with precision and detail.

best grooming by far

I have to say Tailwashers exceeded my expectations. I have two persian cats and a labradoodle that I took to the groomer at Tailwashers. Jennifer greeted me and my animals with so much love and made us all feel so comfortable and relaxed right away. She asked me questions about each animal, taking time to get to know each one. When I picked them up, not only did they look more beautiful than they ever had coming out of a grooming shop but they were so calm. I recieved a report card on each animal that went over everything I couldn't believe how detailed it was. Once again Jennifer came out and went over each of my animals one by one to tell me about any problems that she noticed while grooming them. Can we say " over the top" this place really knows their stuff and really cares about the animals. Price wise their not cheap and you do have to book in advance but its worth the money and the wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disorganized/ Lousy customer service

I recommend the store but don't recommend Tailwashers the grooming center at all. Ever. Really. That sounds pretty final but heed my words and you will avoid frustration in your life and that's a good thing right?.

The grooming place must have been changing employees this past summer and also this fall (see the pattern emerging?). I booked an appointment to get my REALLY long haired kitty groomed (remember how blazing hot it was outside?). I had to wait one month in advance because the grooming side of the store was so busy. Still, I ate it and took the appointment as they were the only store that would deal with Apollo since he's 19 years old and weighs 18 lbs. Also, because every place I tried was booked solid. So we waited, In the heat. Tailwaggers never confirmed the appointment the day before and then mysteriously didn't have me in their books on my kitty's date.

This fall, what do ya know, I get a call from TAILWASHERS. They proceeded to ask me if I had an appointment coming up! The girl on the other end of the phone hears I am clearly angry by my loud sigh (was it that obvious?) She tells me they were changing employees this past summer but now they have it worked out. Great.

I decided to give them another chance and make a second appointment. Note to self on "to-do" list: #1. Wake up. #2. Smell coffee. Evidently they didn't iron out all those funny little employees kinks last summer. The woman on the phone kept putting me on hold before she could make the appointment. Then she got back to me, and asked if they'd ever groomed him before. On hold again. After three holds, one non recognition from the person who had CALLED ME and apologized for the mix up, five minutes of utter frustration I hung up swearing I'd never recommend anyone go there. Charles Shultz had it right when he drew the cartoon with Lucy holding the football and promising to keep it there while Charlie Brown kicked.

Excellent grooming for cats

I have been searching for a groomer for my 2 persian cats and am extremely pleased to have found Tailwashers. It was clean and spacious, and they kept the cats away from the dogs as much as possible.

The grooming was better than I hoped, they are sooo soft and clean and still smell gorgous 3 days later.The groomer was very thorough and the hair cut was great. I will definately take them back and go on a regular basis, it was a good deal all round.
