Amazing Haircut and Blowdry
by chiqchic at Citysearch
Rhonda is amazing - she is a well of knowledge and experience, and although she doesn't make a big show of it, she really knows what she is doing.
I have naturally curly hair, that is just starting to recover from a lot of processing, and went in for a cut and blowdry.
She blowdried my air effortlessly with a brush (and not a flat iron like less capable stylists) and made it smooth but still bouncy with volume. Then she dry cut my hair and gave me the best haircut I have had since I moved to LA. She is amazing. No attitude, no pompousness, just good.
The prices are a little higher than most places, but Rhonda is well worth it.
- Pros: Amazing Haircut and Blowdry
- Cons: A little pricey
Awesome Hair stylist ever!

I have been searching for Rhonda for years! She is the best hairstylist in the world. I've experienced several hairstylists that damaged, cut my hair too short or messed it up, or put products in my hair that ruined it. Rhonda made my hair healthier and shinier....just like the "Pantene" commercials. I have long curly hair and she round brushes your hair and gives it a soft, straight look with volume that no one else has ever done. You bring her a picture of a hair color you like, and she gets your hair to look just like the color in the picture and has great ideas for colors. I'm so happy I found Rhonda. My hair is so healthy. The salon is also very quaint and lovely. I have refered her to all my family and friends and everyone loves her! She is also very personable and flexible with her schedule. You can't go wrong with Rhonda!
- Pros: Best hairstylist!
- Cons: Metered Parking
Rhonda's Got the Magic Touch!!!
by xica02 at Citysearch
After 5 yrs of growing out my naturally curly hair, I was quite reluctant to get another relaxer, since many of my at-home experiences resulted in hair loss and thinning. Since I'm Dominican, my hair isn't nappy, but the curls tend to shrink up after it dries. After my hair dries it gets very tangled, and the detangling process (even with tons of conditioner) results in hair loss. I didnt want my hair to be straight, but just to open up my curls. Before I went on my trip to Miami I decided to go through w/my relaxer (humidity is a b**** on the hair). After Rhonda was done with me, hurricane Katrina didn't even phase my hair! She's great & knows what she's doing. I'm able to wear the wet look, and am no longer a slave to my straightening iron.
- Pros: professional care, great environment, the best results
- Cons: slightly pricey$$$, bring change4 meter, recommend strand test
