best authentic mexican food

by kurucocktails

whoever wrote that King taco is overratedobviously has no clue to good mexican food. probably likes Aculpulco's. King Taco has the best mexican food around. I have been trying to perfect their tamale recipe for years now, and just can't seem to do it! Best tamales I've ever had, including in Mexico.

The atmosphere isn't exactly fab, but people go for the food, not the plastic chairs. I recommend wearing super casual clothing and you'll be just fine. oh and if your white and can bring an hispanic friend with you, you will get much better service! You also have a bettter chance of them NOT telling you they ran out of tamales!

this place is way over rated. folks you're better off eating at one of the many taco trucks in ELA. this place is only good when you're drunk and its late nite.

Horrible LIES

by LoveNGlory

Out of all restaurants I have ever visited this one is the worse.I went in july 23 The security was real rude to us.we came 4 minutes past 3am and the guy kicks us out. Not pleasantly but screaming like their food was any good. I told him how can restaurant with a giant banner saying 24hr be closed. This is false advertising and such horrible service. Not worth going there again.

  • Pros: Nothing
  • Cons: Stupid Security

Greatest Tacos

by thatguy6

The food here is incredible, the price is not so bad. You have to wait for a while for your food though. The location around the restaurant looks kind of dangerous, but its lower LA so there is no much to expect.

  • Pros: Food and price
  • Cons: location around the restaurant

Best sopes in town!

by 80sGalPal

Everything on the menu is good here and at a good price. Great comfort food and late night eats...the verde sauce is good...nice and spicy..I recommend the sopes or the tacos, they used to have a really good vegetable burrito too, but they took it off the menu :( The old town pasadena location is good too.

  • Pros: good food for a good price
  • Cons: parking lot gets crowded

This one is the best

by VicoG2

This is definately the best king taco from all the king tacos and the best taco place. try the asada taco. I had a few friends from europe over and they were raving about king taco! they loved the way the meat tasted and just couldnt get over how delicious the food was. yeah it can get crowded, but what do you expect from a taco place open 24hrs. i mean the drunks and p[artygoers come after 2am who cares the food is good. I notice a lot of artist from the artist district coming over 2. Its good y'all.

  • Pros: Really good tacos, try the asada taco
  • Cons: crowds, some ghettoo people
