Was it a mixed cocktail with absinthe or just absinthe straight up?? It's hard to find places that serve that alcohol!

WELL...THEY CAN KISS IT .... JASON IS AWESOME AS WELL. THERE'S ALLWAYS THIS YOUNG BLACK GUY THERE TO GREET YOU. ALSO,THERE IS CHICK WHO JUST OOZES WITH APPEAL.
i THINK HER NAME IS AMBER...ALL THE BITCHES HATE ON HER,BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T NEED TO TRY
HARD...LEAVE HER ALONE,SHE'S THE REASON . THE BLACK KID IS ALWAYS THE ONLY BLACK GUY THERE. BUT HE IS UNLIKE OTHER BLACK FOLKS . THERE IS SOMETHING CLASSIC ABOUT THAT GUY WHO ALSO SINGS THE BLUES.

This place is alright. Nothing special really. The door guy is kinda rude and there are some snobby people who think they are all that and more. To the person below: if you're talking about the Amber I'm thinking of I have seen her too. But I don't really see what they big deal about her is, I really don't. She's just another one of those stupid girls who got popular because of having a large network of friends, dating musicians and the way she looks and that's IT. What does she actually do? Does anyone actually know??? OK I know it sounds like I'm hating now but I just don't like her. I would say the same about that forbidden chick who is way more popular. So yeah, THAT'S a typical girl there minus the disgusting goth groupies!

This is a bar you must go to at least once. Beautiful atmosphere along with a lot of beautiful people as well. It seems like most people there are a "somebody" - they don't seem to let just anyone in for some reason. I definitely plan on returning!
Unique place
by JohnG88 at Citysearch
I finally got the chance to check this place out with a friend a few times and it was pretty cool. Unique....
A different environment and definitely a wide variety of people.
If you go here throughout the week you will more than likely see:
Various Musicians - I've seen the singer from Eagles of Death Metal, Twiggy from Manson, and a few others whose names I can't remember.
Goths - mostly girls that seem to be groupies.
MySpace "celebrities" - I saw one popular girl from there (Amber something?) and I couldn't even talk to her. Don't embarrass yourself like I did. There are a lot of beautiful intimidating women that go here for some reason.
Occasional actors.
A lot of other people that you know are "somebodies" but can't seem to figure it out.
I would recommend it! Give it a try at least once. You could meet some people you never thought you'd meet....
- Pros: Hot girls, unique people
- Cons: Crowded
I used to come here...

I used to really like this place but I have quit going recently because of the types of people and the typical Hollywood "hype" that surrounds it. There are some real snobs there and yes that includes the "famous" people. Last time I was in there Jeordie White/Twiggy from Marilyn Manson was DJing and he seemed pretty cool. However it did get annoying having to watch him constantly flirt with (mostly ugly) girls that barely passed for 18. The place is so small you can't help but be up close and personal. I've also seen a few well-known MySpace girls there (I met one in particular and she was very snotty, but I won't say her name. She's usually there on Wednesday's by the way ;) ) - if that counts for anything. The door guy is cool but he acts like it's the only great bar in town and supposedly not everyone is allowed in - umm ok. The atmosphere is overall decent but as I said it is very crowded most nights...
Great Martinis but Why the Loud Music?
by vitalusty at Citysearch
I went in there Thursday night with a friend to talk over martinis. The doorman was very friendly, we sat down in a nearly empty bar. There was one other small group on the other end of the room. It is a dimly lit dive bar with the glass candles on each table. The martini was near perfect- vodka martini dirty with the thin layer of ice on top. The bartender was kind, everyone was kind.
My only beef is the music is loud and inconsistent. It would be roaring one second (with 5 people in the bar) and then lowered to a decent audibility and then fluctuate again to roaring for about an hour it went up and down during the same song. It was aggravating.
I hear its packed on the weekends, maybe I wouldn't care then.
- Pros: Martinis, Service, Dive Bar Feeling
- Cons: Music and Audibility
