TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !

My husband purchased a gift card for me for $135.00, evidently a new owner took over. When I called to make appoinment I explained I had a gift certificate, the new owner-Monica said she would not honor that certificate. I asked her if there was anything she could do for me and she said NO that was the old owner's responsibility she then handed the phone off to an emplyee without even telling me. As a customer that spent money (no matter what the dollar amount) should have some way met me half way (which I did ask her and she said NO to that too) you feel like you 've been ripped off not to mention for good business and a good business owner should have done something. She was very unprofessional and unexperienced. The out come was I contacted the old owner (Nancie-Soothing Elements) and she was very apologetic for the way I was treated by Salon Monae and refunded me my full $135.00 within 1 day. To me that is awesome customer service and I would definately buy from an owner like Nancie rather than Salon Monae. I know accomodating customer's can sometimes get frustrating, but when a customer's right as a business owner that comes with the territory and you need to be professional and handle the situation not push it off on someone else.

a little piece of heaven - spa treatments by terrie leonel

getting a spa facial from terrie is just a little piece of heaven - be prepared to spend a good relaxing hour away from the cares of the world when you treat yourself (or someone else you love) to a spa facial given by terrie - a nice gown to change in to - soft music and scented candles - many many soft lotions and potions applied to your face and then gently wiped away - i'm telling you - IT'S THE BEST - you come out of there looking and feeling 10 years younger!

terrie's pedicures are wonderful too - you sit on a chair that looks like a throne - and it has adjustable massage features - your feet are in their own private jacuzzi - and just like the facial - many many soft solutions are applied to your feet, which are massaged along with your legs - by time you get your toenails painted you are ready to dance out of there -

best bet - give yourself a day of beauty (and relaxation!) - terrie is a doll!

Over Priced Services...

A spa pedicure and manicure almost cost me $80 dollars here! I decided to go somewhere else. I had originally made an appointment there to get ready for my wedding anniversary date with my husband but after I called to confirm the appointment and I inquired how much it would be, my jaw dropped. I asked the girl to please cancel my appointment and she gave me an arrogant, "Ugh!" Very unprofessional receptionist to say the least. I went to A-List nails on Greenleaf instead. I got a better deal on my nails and the staff at A-List was friendly and the atmosphere was very clean.

• Pros: Nicely decorated
• Cons: Bad attitude, the customer is always right!

beautiful salon

To my surprise i came into the establishment formally soothing elements was sold in April 07 and now called Salon Monae. I had 3 services and was very impressed and pleased with the staff they were very friendly and gave great service and it was very relaxing. i would highly reccomend to all to come and enjoy and endulge in the new full service salon.

Never Again

After having an awful hair color experience, Soothing Elements phoned me several months later to tell me i had won a free spa pedicure. I went and the pedicure was excellent. At the time of leaving i decided to purchase a gift for my mother for a massage. Her experience was not good at all. The massus showed up late to her appointment and was not relaxed or pleasant. She made my mother lay down on the table with no pillow. My mother requested one and they gave her rolled up towels instead to put on her neck which was very uncomfortable. They offered her nothing to drink, she had to request it. She was never asked if she was okay. The massage was rushed and not very effective. My mother asked me never to get her a gift card from them again and prefers to go to a less fancy place where the massages are $40 instead of the overprized $90 massages Soothing Elements offers. I will never again go there even if they offer me free services.

• Cons: Not a good value & Lack of Friendliness/ Attention from the Staff

I love it there!

I enjoy going there as much as I can. I feel like it's a little get away from home. It makes me proud that we have such a great place in Whittier. I get my nails done by Jamie and waxing from Andrea. They are both wonderful. I've had my hair and makeup done for my sister wedding. I got lots of great reviews. The fire place is great during the cold seasons. I gave my mom a gift certificate and she really enjoyed her facial with Andrea. She said she will come back! Everyone should try this spa!

I was exited when this spa opened in Whittier and could not wait to try it. My first experience was very nice, I received a great pedicure with a wonderful massage. I couldn't wait for my next visit. I SHOULD HAVE STOPPED AT THE FIRST TIME!!! What a horrible experience compared to the first. The nail tech hardly bothered to work on me at all, and the massage was half hearted. Even after that fiasco, I tried again to make an appointment, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I was left on hold, never to here from any one again. I finally hung up and swore I would not call again. And I Haven't.

• Cons: inconsistant service, untrained, unprofessional staff

Amazing!

This spa was the best one that I have ever been too!!!!! The pedicures are great and they are all super nice!!!! especially Elaina!!!!! she was the sweetest person!!!!!!!!

I would just like to anounce that I just had the best manicure, pedicure, and facial that I have ever had. The facial and pedicure were amazing AND i RECOMEND IT TO EVERYONE

I had the best facial I have ever had. I am so used to going to Pasadena or West Hollywood for services that were good. But I came here and had the best facial and pedicure that I think I have ever had. This place is absolutely phenomenal and I see why it is so highly recommended.
