I have curly, frizzy, unruly hair and after going to Michi, I have straight, shiny, healthy hair!! Michi is amazing! I went to her last year right before a cruise to the humid Caribbean and my hair stayed straight and shiny the entire time. I never thought it was possible!! I just came back from my second time seeing Michi and again , am amazed at what a great job Michi does. She is so careful and very knowledgeable. I emailed a lot of questions before I first went to see her and she was quick to respond and very helpful. In person, she is just as sweet and caring. She does the straightening in a private room at the salon. She makes it very comfortable and lets you bring whatever DVDs you'd like. I highly recommend seeing Michi and will be going back myself!! :)

So the salon is very unassuming from the outside, very nice, clean, quaint and friendly. Low presssure, modern, inviting environment with friendly stylists. Michi met me promptly with a warm smile and a handshake. She made me feel very welcome from the get go. She has her own room in the back of the salon. Well organized, neat and has a flat screen and tunes for your entertainment. She does an initial consultation and really listens to what you are after. She is incredibly sweet and a consumate professional and honestly takes pride in what she does and I tell you she does it well. She knows more about the products she is using and how to use them properly than anyone I've gone to. She is incredibly patient, takes her time and does things correctly. There was no burn, no discoloration or lightening and it came out as I had hoped. I'm a guy and a doc and never thought I'd spend that much time or money on my own hair but if you are going to get straightened, do it right, go to Michi and no one else.

Pros: Friendly, very professional, comfortable environment. She and the rest of the staff were great!

I am so thankful to michi! She saved my hair. I went to another salon that was a little bit cheaper to get the straightening, and the guy completely ruined my hair. It was so bad that parts of my hair started breaking off! It was so traumatizing I didn’t know what to do. My hair was once long and healthy and now it was frizzy, damaged and unmanageable. I was very hesitant but I decided to go to michi as a last resort to let her try and restore the strength of my hair and needless to say that I am beyond happy with the results. What is different about michi is that she really understands the whole process of the straightening system she understands the chemicals that she is working with and how they affect your hair. I will never trust anyone else with my hair other than michi and I strongly urge you to be careful who you trust to use any types of chemicals on your hair...

My sister and I recently got our hair permanently straightened by Michi and not only was the result great but the experience as well. We have relaxed our hair and gotten the YUKO system done with what we now know were inexperienced people. We were extremely hesitant when we went in for the consultation but Michi reassured us that she could make our hair permanently silky and straight. We didn't believe it until we saw it! After our hair was washed the final time all she did was blowdry it and it was straight! She also gave us a free haircut. The whole process took awhile but it wasn't painfully long because Michi has a flat screen tv and dvd player in the private room she does the hair straightening in. We recommend Michi to anyone and everyone!

I got my hair straightened by Michi about one month ago and have been loving it from day one. My hair was so frizzy and curly but now it takes me 10 minutes to dry it and then I am done. I was scared to straighten my hair at first but would do it again in a heartbeat because I love it so much. Everyone at Michi's salon was so friendly and nice too. Overall it was just a great experience.

Pros: great results, friendly staff

Cons: parking, expensive

I just got my hair straightened on Friday and I love it!!!! Michi was great! She answered all of my questions very patiently and took the time to examine my hair to make sure I was a good candidate for the treatment. After she was done she merely ran the blower over my hair for about five minutes (without a brush!!!!) and it came out looking like I had been sitting in the chair getting flat ironed for a few hours. I would recommend Michi to anyone and everyone! Afterwards she gave me a great hair cut (included!). She also does the treatment in a cute room that has a flat screen tv a dvd player, a stereo and very zen candles so you can have fun and relax while you are there! ;)

I have been going to Michi for over 15 years, and no one can cut hair better then she can. I have thick curly hair, and if you know anything about curls, they are the hardest to tame, style and cut. Well not for Michi, everytime I leave the salon, my hair rocks! She has an amazing artist style that penatrate through all her work. She has always done a fabulous job on my hair, whether it's long or super short, the scissors become one with her hands and eyes, and I always walk away feeling beautiful.

Pros: she projects a great positive energy.

Michi is a hairstylist I travel miles for. I have had my share of awful hairstylist and when you find one that is in tune with what you like and can provide that service you want, it's Michi. Michi always seems to find a hairstyle that suits my features while keeping it low maintenance for my busy schedule. I have traveled over 500 miles to have her cut my hair---she was worth ever mile.

I can't say it enough, I love Michi and what she does with my hair! I have been seeing her for 5 years and I will never let another person touch my hair. She is really amazing. When I first started going to her my hair was red, in horrible condition and just embarrassing. Michi brought my hair back to life, and over time transformed it into this beautiful blonde color. I LOVE MY HAIR. I now go to her and say, do what you think is best and I know she will cut it just as I want it and the color will be amazing. On top of being amazing at coloring and styling, she is one of the best people I know. She has such a big and pure heart. She is a gem in so many ways.

I have the curliest most "unwilling to let you do anything" hair you can imagine. I went to 3 Japanese hair straightening specialists who all ruined my hair (even one that was featured on extreme makeovers!) - and then I found Michi. I've been going to her for over 2 years and fly in from Texas every 4 months for a touch- up because I can't find anyone else that is as good as she is. She really cares about the health of my hair and painstakingly works to make sure my hair is not over processed and that each step of the hair straightening process is done correctly. She even tests individual strands of hair throughout the process to make sure it is not over or under processed! I cannot recommend her enough - if you want straight "healthy" hair - Michi is THE ONE! Oh, and did I mention that she is a very nice person and loves animals!

Pros: Very professional and knows what she is doing! Stays on top of latest products/techniques.

Cons: Too far from where I live (in Texas)
