Today was my second visit to Willow Spa and I tried the citrus revitalizing treatment and mango polish. My skin never felt softer. On my previous visit I tried the enzyme bath which is quite a unique experience in its self. The atmosphere is tranquil and it is a great oasis found within an urban city. Try it you won't be disappointed!

I was told by a friend how great Willow Spa was and have been meaning to get a treatment there for over two years. I finally did after getting a gift certificate. I want to add that I get massages quite often. I went in with a ton of stress and some serious shoulder pain and came out feeling rejuvenated and like a completely new person. Its hard to believe this spa sits on Santa Monica Boulevard... rather you feel like you are in a tropical oasis... What's even better is that I was so shocked to find how reasonable it for the type of care that you receive... in every treatment I have had so far.. each was amazing... the therapists really seem to care how you are feeling and to do what they can to help you feel better! I will never go anywhere else in LA after this place... highly recommended... parking can be a pain which is the only drawback...
Pros: Free Footsoaks.. knowledgeable staff Holly and Grace are the absolute best!!!
Cons: Parking

Ok, so this Japanese Enzyme Bath thing is amazing. You step into a large vat of what appears to be wood chippings (NOT water -- don't let the "bath" part fool you). The techician adds some enzymes to the mixture so that it begins to heat and heat and heat. (high school chemistry pop quiz: it's an "exothermic" reaction?)....and then covers you up to your neck (you're wearing an old swimsuit, one that might end up with some red stains on it). Every few minutes, they will come back and give you ice-water to sip on through a straw; they will also pat down your face with a cool towel. Meanwhile, they leave you there to MARINATE in an INTENSE heat...honestly, sometimes uncomfortably hot (don't move around -- moving just mixes the enzymes together more and makes things hotter). After you get out, the technician will give you a large brush to get the shavings off....you then shower away the rest (note: the shavings get EVERYWHERE). After that, you sit in the courtyard, sip tea, and wait for your mini thai massage. Here's the thing -- the intense heat from the bath turns you into jelly....if you've ever had a hot-stone massage, imagine that feeling ALL OVER your body. There is NOT an ounce of tension left in you. It's the most intense physical relaxation I've ever experienced. Hot-diggity!!!
Pros: absolute physical relaxation. We hung out in the courtyard for a while, and they never rushed us to leave.
Cons: parking?

It’s hidden, very cute and cozy ambience. Just like an oasis in the city. It made me feel like I’ve tripped to somewhere else. Massage was excellent….relaxing, rejuvenating. I wish they had extra facilities such as Jacuzzi or steam sauna but I’ve been recommending to all my friends and so far, everybody loves what they get there.

I went to Willow for the first time and had an extraordinary sports massage. She pulled out every knot in my body, and I left feeling great! I also really like the ambience and the foot massage. It would be a great place to rent out and have a small party with friends. Delightful!
Pros: Julia is the best, great atmosphere

It is amazing how this house can be on a busy street and when you walk through the gates you would think you just walked into a luxurious spa retreat. I was never distracted by outside noise. It was a real treat. The foot soaks are as beautiful in person as they are on their website. My husband and I had massages in the same room and they were excellent and my friend had such a great experience with his facial he bought product too. We really loved Willow Spa and will return soon. I hope you have many blessed years of success.
Pros: personal touch, relaxing, great value
Cons: none

Willow Spa offers unique treatments in a lovely, peaceful environment. Nearly all of their treatments began with a luxurious foot massage, which is simply divine. Their Thai Massage and Enzyme Bath treatments are both must-trys!
Pros: Unique treatments, Serene environment, Friendly staff

I love having spa days, especially with friends. So when my friends bday came up I looked into Willow Spa. They were having (and might still have) a promo going on, 2-4-1 Japanese Enzyme Baths with a 30 minute Thai massage after. This spa/treatment blew both our minds! We felt so pampered and relaxing the entire time. The staff made us feel very comfortable and never rushed. The grounds are beautiful, hard to believe it's right off SMB. I felt not only relaxed, but also very clear/rejuvenated/healthy after leaving. It's great for body/skin detoxification as well as overall health. Everything about this spa is top notch, and very Zen.
Pros: Inexpensive, Knowledgeable staff, Beautiful atmosphere

I came here for a facial after reading reviews on Citysearch, and was greatly impressed. The staff was very friendly, and my facialist did an amazing job. I especially loved the tea and foot rub preceding my appointment. The garden is extremely relaxing. I will be going back for another facial, plus the massage treatment.
Pros: atmosphere, facials
Cons: parking

I read a review on the Willow Spa and had to give them a try. I was aprehensive but upon entering the gate my worries began to fade. The staff is very knowledgable and caring. The Thai massage was like closing my eyes and going back to Thailand. It was the best and I am now a regular. You will be also.
Pros: relaxing atmosphere, Skillful staff, reasonable
Cons: location
