I'm a believer...

I had had acupuncture before for lower back pain and it didn't do anything for me. When I came to Evolve it was through a referral and I'm so glad I did. Everyone in the office was really nice and very helpful. I met with John Simmonds and explained that I had tried acupuncture before and had not so great results...the treatment with him was SOOO much different! I walked out feeling very relaxed and the pain in my back was gone. I go on a weekly basis for maintenance and to prevent future pain and I don't know if I'll ever be able to NOT go! Good thing they take insurance! :)

Amazing Acupuncture on the Westside

This was my first experience with Acupuncture. I have had five knee surgeries and am trying to get back into shape. Because of all the trauma to my knee, it tends to swell after my work-outs. I was referred to Evolve by a friend. The whole experience was great...John Convey explained everything he was going to do and what it would do for my body. It was as relaxing as a massage..you walk out of the room feeling very serene. That afternoon, the swelling had gone down in my knee and I headed to boot camp the next two days. My knee felt great during the work-outs! I look forward to being a patient at Evolve and utilizing the true purpose of Eastern Medicine...being proactive rather than reactive with my body. I would not hesitate to refer anyone to Evolve and the Eastern Medicine it practices.

Changed My Life!

I found EVOLVE a couple of years ago when a co-worker recommended I try acupuncture for a running injury. I was marathon running at that time and I had an achilles tendon injury that was plaguing my training. I feel that I am a very open person but for some reason I was always a little weary of acupuncture. I'm not sure why, maybe it was the idea of needles or perhaps it was just becasue I knew so little about it. I didn't even think it was something you would go to for a sports injury but I gave it a try.

As I entered the office I was instantly met with a calming feeling. The office decor is very Zen and relaxed. My appointment was with founder John Convey and I let him know right away that I was a little usure about acupuncture but I wanted some relief from my nagging achilles injury. He instantly put me at ease by explaining what acupuncture is all about. The treatment was painless, the enviromnent was professional, hygenic and very comfortable.... and the results were profound.

I was pain free after just two sessions and have now incorporated acupuncture into my normal health routine. I have been going back to Evolve every 2-3 weeks or so for a visit for the past 2 years and I can honestly say that it's changed my life for the better. Not only physically but also spiritually. The process of acupuncture and REIKI opened up a path of enlightenment for me that has transformed how I live my life. I sleep better, I am happier, I have less aches and pains from running and office stress and I am more grounded. I am extremely grateful to John and the EVOLVE team for helping me with my own personal evolution. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

My Favorite Doctor

I made an appointment with Dr. John Convey as a last ditch attempt to avoid having to return to a daily regimen of antibiotics. I went in with an open mind but no expectations. As soon as I walked into Evolve, however, I knew I had made the right decision.

The treatment was fantastic. Dr. Convey possesses the two qualities I'd been looking for in an ideal physician but haven't found until now: top-notch expertise and genuine concern.

Just a few minutes speaking with him about my condition revealed the depth of his knowledge and training. And though he's an expert, I always felt that he was speaking with me, not down to me. Instead, I felt like I was with a doctor who knew his role was to help and inform me, not dictate a specific course of action. That makes a world of difference.

The one quality that truly sets John apart from other doctors is the care he exhibits the moment he steps into the room. Having a doctor who's concerned with the entire person and not just the symptoms that brought him in are critical. It's why I trusted him immediately. His genuine concern for my overall well-being was authentic and was evident throughout the entire treatment.

Since that initial treatment, I'm happy to say that I've been able to stay healthy without daily antibiotics! As a bonus, I've now found in John a trusted partner in maintaining my health. I feel comfortable seeing him for nagging injuries in a timely manner instead of aggravating them into major health issues, a practice I was guilty of with other physicians because my lack of comfort with them made me avoid them. Not so with John.

I put my body through the paces in my daily workouts, and getting a treatment is not only a "tune-up" that allows me to continue going hard at the gym week after week but also a nurturing, relaxing reward I happily allow myself to indulge in on a regular basis.

I highly recommend John to anyone looking for a partner to improve or maintain their health and well-being.

Acupuncture at its best.

I went in with a twisted knee.......in pain.................and in a bad mood!!

I came out with barely a limp,and feeling like I had taken a vacation.

I saw Dr. Convey,and cannot sing his praises enough.Empathectic and knowledgeable,he immediatly put me at ease,and with the soft music and sounds of the outdoor fountain......I could finally relax!

Apart from a painless treatment,I was surprised to find that Dr.Convey included the soothing practice of Reiki............mmmmmm!

But most importantly,my swollen painful knee, was a memory!!! It might not be 100%-but in 1 treatment,I was amazed!!

A big thumbs up to Dr Convey and his awesome office staff...................these are the kinds of secret places that make this city such an awesome place to live.

No pain in the neck

I have tried numerous chiropractors to solve my neck pain but it never went away. My friend told me to try acupuncture and my neck stopped hurting. Go see John and you'll never feel better.
