Horrible Establishment

Bottom line...............DO NOT GO HERE! My friends stay away, and I should have followed The one in NoHo is the biggest POS of them all. The security guards are on a POWER trip, and the servers and bartenders aren't worth the 10% that society says we should tip. Or is it 15%???? regardless, they're awful!!!!!! Stay away

MOM’S MEATBALL: You don’t desecrate a classic sandwich!

If you go to Big Wangs for the food, be aware that they have completely downsized their proportions.

I ordered a Mom’s Meatball and instead of having 4 giant meatballs, I got about 2 meatballs cut up into 3rds served up on a roll half the size of the original.

This is not cool. I will not ever go here again unless they change it back.

I personally discussed this problem with the owner of Big Wang’s. He was standing right there when I asked why my sandwich was so small. He said they were trying to save money.

I don’t see how reducing the value of their product is going to earn them any loyalty. What a rip!

If you are going to downsize it, you better charge less. They still charge $10 for half of what you got before.

You never desecrate a classic! Nuff said.

good times

this place rocks. the drinks are good, food is edible, service is kinda slow, but people are friendly.most of the bouncers there are awesome.cute guys, hot chicks it evens out. i don't know if the management changed since i've been there 'cause some of these reviews sound bad but it is an awesome sports bar,come on it wouldn't be packed if it really sucked. lost alot of brain cells in that place, good times.

Of all the places that serve chicken wings in LA, big wangs has it poppin. The wings are SO cheap and SOOO good. Wednesday is my favorite night there. Happy hour with 25 cent wings. What could be better?

Come Watch The Game

This place gets crowded with college kids and sports fans almost every night. So come early. They have cheap drinks and great beer food.

Big Wangs, Small Bangs

Reading most of these reviews, you can't help but to question the credibility of most of them. I honestly think the staff is required (if not, strongly encouraged ) to write a positive review. If you are looking for a sports bar in the heart of Hollywood that plays anything BUT Los Angeles sports, this place is for you. In fact, the staff will probably treat/serve you better than the locals or natives. Last year, as the Dodgers played in the National League Championship Series, I hesitantly met a group of friends ( group of at least 15, who WERE regulars) to watch the game. As the 30 plus TV screens played insignificant Big Ten College football, Indiana Pacer basketball, and SPORTSCENTER, only TWO screens played the Dodgers-Phillies game WITH the sound on mute. Keep in mind that it has been a long while since the Dodgers have gone this deep into the playoffs. After asking the waitress if she can please change the College game to the Dodgers Phillies series, my request was ignored not once, not twice, not thrice, but FOUR FREAKIN' TIMES, so naturally, I got upset. So what did the staff do??? They BUMPED the Wisconsin-Ohio State Game and gave me a janky a$$ radio to listen to the HOME TEAM's audio!!!! Really Big Wangs - are you serious?? That was enough to keep me away FOREVER!!! My friends, unfortunately, continued to visit this nahzi camp a few more times until the staff decided to impose an odd rule. Apparently, after 9pm, all parties MUST purchase $10 worth of menu or drink items in order to stay in the bar, if not, you are "politely" asked to leave, at least that's what the waitress this group. After these dumb a$$es paid twice and saw that this rule wasn't pressed on other groups, they asked the neighboring table if they too had to pay. They looked at him as if he was crazy and replied no. Then they asked other people, same response... That was the final straw.. Fellas - If you want to stare at hot chicks who ignore you all night long, go to a strip club. At least you'll see a nipples and get cheap feels! This is not a dive bar. Anyone who wrote or writes this, is obviously a rookie to the bar scene. This place is as scenester as it gets. Nothing dive about this. If your into low-key bars, check out Horse and Carriage on sunset, Burgundy Room on Cahuenga, Drawing Room on Hillhurst and right across the street, Ye Rustic Inn (which by the way has THE BEST HOT WINGS IN LA - Wangs does not compare!). Also, if you look at the team flags and banners posted on the outside of the bar, there are no Los Angeles Teams represented. They must be making space for Confederate Flags. Los Angeles, help me boycott this place and drive this LA HATING BAR bankrupt. Spread the word!!!!!!

Don't get it

All I hear is "Big Wangs has the best beer" and "cheap food" but the beer is just regular (go to father's office for a good selection of beer) and the food is kinda overpriced. It's just another dive bar in LA. It's open late for food and that's pretty much the only reason why I keep going back.
