Best Steak Ever
by lalalandlover at Citysearch
The steak at the Shula's at the Sheraton Gateway by LAX was amazing. I've been to a variety of steakhouses, and even worked at one, and nothing has ever come as close to the tenderness and unparalleled quality of the filet at Shula's. I'm normally a small eater, but the filet was so good I ate nearly all of it. The apple cobler was also really tastey with vanilla ice cream. Surprisingly the decor of this Shula's was a lot edgier than expected. My favorite twist was the zebra skin seat in the bar area. Fabulous.
Not The Best Ever
by luvdiningout2 at Citysearch
Shula's is good, but there are much better steakhouses in LA. The restaurant was very nice and the service was great, but the food was not the best we ever had. My husband ordered the NY Steak but it was not hot when it got to the table. I ordered the ribs, cooked for 24 hours, and they tasted like it. I don't think they need to cook ribs for 24 hours. It wasn't terrible but if you're looking for a great steak I would suggets Ruth's Chris. I wanted to write here so people will not be dissapointed by reading the other reviews like we were.
- Pros: Near the Airport
- Cons: Food could be better
Great Steak, Good Service, Not the Best Shula's has to offer.
by Godzuki24 at Citysearch
As a proud member of the 48oz. Club, I was VERY disappointed to see that Shula's 347 in LA does not offer the Porterhouse. Hell, the largest menu item is a 22oz. This came as a shock to me and was a MAJOR letdown. Now, most people would say that 22 oz is more than enough for a dinner, but as a bigtime carnivore, anything less than 32 oz. simply is not worth it. My waiter was kind enough to coax the chef into "going downstairs" to find a porterhouse for me- what looked like 36 oz. and cooked it to perfection. See, Shula's does everything right. Their cuts of beef are fantastic, the service is strong and the ambience is not too pretentious and masculine enough. The sides are classic and served to share. My dining partner had the 16 oz. NY which looked very good- he finished it all which is a testament to the piece of meat. My Porterhouse was good/borderline great. Wine list compliments the menu well. The whole "hotel restaurant" vibe is kind of weak, but I guess thats the price you pay to get the Shula name out across the country. I'll be back.
- Pros: Shula Cut, Service, Valet Validation
- Cons: Limited Menu
Tribute To Mom
by like2enjoy at Citysearch
Mom wanted her Australian Lobster (hard to find) Mothers Day Dinner and did she ever get it here. We found the resturant on the web and thought we'd check it out. To our suprise it was so much more than either expected. Great service and the best lobster my mom has every had. The appetizer & salad was great with decadent desserts to top it off but we came for the lobster. A bit pricey but for the special occasion it was money well spent.
- Pros: quality food, comfortable seating , attentive service
- Cons: bit pricey, atmosphere to dark
Best Steakhouse in America??
by TheChief at Citysearch
I have eaten at several Shula's places around the country. And with only one exception (and that one being one of their franchises in Fort Lauderdale), I have not been disappointed. I truly believe that Shula's is the Best Steakhouse in America. Exceptional quality...and it is consistent at all locations. I was so happy to see a Shula's open in Los Angeles, at the Sheraton Gateway at LAX. You cannot find a better piece of Dead Cow anywhere. I highly recommend Shula's 347.
- Pros: Best Steak, Good Environment, Nice Bar
- Cons: Don't Worry About $$
best steak ever...

oh my god... i haven't had such good steak for a long while, and i couldn't believe it when i had it at Shula 347. at first i was a little shocked to see the price for my steak to be $42, but then as soon as i tasted it, everything's worth it. my bf tried their $13 cheeseburger, which he said it's worth it as well. one more item i wanna bring up is their Raspberry Mojito Martini. it was such a great drink for the hot summer time...
- Pros: tasty food, great service , nice ambience
- Cons: confusing parking, pricey

Upscale steakhouse chain in LAX Sheraton serves aged steaks, burgers, seafood and pasta to mainly business diners and hotel guests.
Truly Outstanding

This latest edition to the Shula's family of restaurants definitly holds up next to its predecessors. With friendly, efficient service, amazing food and a chic, sexy lounge type atmoshere, this restaurant truly deserves to carry the Shula's name. And if you know steakhouses, you know that Shula's is one of the best.
- Pros: Free Parking, Amazing Steaks, Fast friendly service
What a surprise.

OK, so my husband takes me to a steak house for dinner near Manhattan Beach. I was completely bllown away. The restaurant was stunning, the service was wonderful, and I had the most fantastic steak I have ever eaten. The wine list was pretty impressive too. I can hardly wait to go back again, as there are other things that I want to try now. We will definately come back
- Pros: atmosphere, service, food

It is hard to believe that this restaurant is NOT in Beverly Hills. The decor is AMAZING! The service was impeccable, and the food.... probably the best steak I have ever had. Thanks for bringing your restaurant to LA, Don Shula!
