Tasty Asian Vegan Fare -- Plus Tacos

by Goldie M

I’m practically made of Vegan Glory broccoli as my mommy – cursed with a case of gestational diabetes when I was in utero – ate it for pretty much every day of her pregnancy. I aint no Vegan, but I do love the Glory – especially the eggplant dish with soy chicken. The trick is to tell them to go low-oil on the dish and you can eat relatively light and healthy, especially during lunch special time when you can swap out the fried eggroll for the rice paper “Freshy Roll” filled with lettuce and veggies. Also oddly compelling given the Asian-centric menu are the Three Tacos. Way more delish than you’d imagine at a vegan asian spot but a tasty delight none-the-less.

  • Pros: Super fresh, super friendly
  • Cons: Can get a bit heavy if you don't tell them to hold the oil

Food fit for human consumption

by beachcruiser

I always feel great after eating here. Proper portions of healthy, fresh food. Your stomach, mind, body will thank you. I wish I could eat here all the time. Some review said pricey - are you kidding me? Compared to what - fast food? This is the real deal. I'm SO glad Vegan Glory is in my neighborhood. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean and it's a fantastic option.

  • Pros: Healthy, clean, fresh, honest
  • Cons: Servers unsure as to Gluten content of food

Pricey but really good!

by CSMobileUser

Everytime I come to vegan glory I always leave satisfied! The food is fresh and delicous - the menu is extensive. I've become literally addicted to a couple of dishes there! The parking is a bit of a hassle but ic you get it to go it's no problem . I would recommend this place to anyone!! Yummmmmmm!

So Not Good!

by allthingshealthy

I live within walking distance of this restaurant and after a very unimpressive first try a couple of years ago, I decided to give it another try after hearing from a couple of sources that it was very good. Big mistake! I went in for dinner and I'm so not getting the good reviews on this place. The wait staff was rude and unprofessional. One was chewing bubble gum and blowing bubbles as she stared into space and ignored me. At some point she removed the gum with her fingers, and tossed it under the counter (presumably in the trash). Without bothering to wash her hands she proceeded to handle and serve food. As if this preview was not bad enough, the food was not good. It was overcooked and over seasoned. There're a lot better options in the area for vegan food.

  • Pros: vegetarian menu
  • Cons: Poor Service

We LOVE Vegan Glory!

by fnsa

Husband and I are not vegans but pretty close to it and we LOVE Vegan Glory! Sure, there are some dishes that are less exciting, like Western-style meat imitators like the burgers, lentil loaf, etc., but the Asian dishes truly kick major behind! We always get the steamed dumplings - yum. The glass noodle dishes, hot or cold - yum. There's one dish with pumpkin and eggplant plus tofu - insanely good. And of course, the carrot cake is delish, not to mention the mango sticky rice when in season. And we LOVE the driver! It's always the same guy - prompt, always a smile and tells us to "enjoy the food." Which we do. Over and over again. Man, I feel like calling them right now!

  • Pros: Prompt delivery, always great taste
  • Cons: None for us

Good place but can be very busy.

by jicamatree

If vegan cuisine was like this everywhere then more people would give vegetarian restaurants a chance. The prices are fair, the food delicious, and the service fast. Just give the waitresses a break since its a very popular place and sometimes very busy, nevertheless; I went there on a Sunday with my wife and kids and managed to get a small table. I had the "Praram's Plate" dinner special which consisted of soy chicken in peanut sauce over a bed of spinach along with some other goodies. It was quite delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough.

TERRIBLE

by stacyjanecobb

wow very very surprised to read the previous reviews. i had the lental loaf and it was flavorless - a ball of mush! i didnt even finish it and threw it out. the to-go service was so bad and there was a chinese women at the counter screaming in chinese with a scoul on her face (that worked there) the girl behind the counter was just as unpleasant minus the screaming. Real Food Daily, M Cafe even Swingers has better vegan food without crappy service. one word YUK

  • Cons: food, service and ambience

Even Tasty If You're Not Vegan

by lifeserial

I'm kinda a carnivore. Sorry. This is probably not the profile to stand up and announce that on. But but but: Maybe I could be a vegan. I mean, I had lunch here yesterday and realized it's no longer a non-option. Sure, I like my hamburgers and my cheese on everything, but Vegan Glory has menu items just nearly as yummy. And I felt very unprocessed after the whole affair. So, I highly recommend this place. It's quite healthy and fresh and clean. They have chicken nuggets, y'all. And unlike McDonald's I did not have to take a long-time, heavy, cholesterol-infused nap after I ate them up all gone. Vegan Glory has a great selection of lunch specials to accompany the regular menu, too (read: cheap). My waitress had a nice smile and tone to her voice. I will go back here. Let's go together!

  • Pros: I'm not vegan, but I could be; I had lots of energy after my meal

One of the best place to get Vegan food

by princeaznfrog

I really like this place. Every chance I get up to the Beverly Center I would want to go to Vegan Glory for lunch or dinner. I much rather go during lunch time because of parking. Try parking your car at night it won't be fun unless you do Valet parking. I do like their food choices and friendly services. I will be coming back. Everything I come in I never have any negative experience.

  • Pros: Its really Vegetarin Food and prices
  • Cons: Parking
