Great experience with Dog daycare and boarding
by ERLieb
I needed to find a place to leave my 6month old terrier mix Fritzi for 3 1/2 weeks, and was really upset/nervous that I had to leave her behind while I travel. We tried Wagville and are very satisfied.
They have an extensive application/evaluation process which to me was the first indicator of the quality of service, they ensure that the dogs they accept are healthy, and that they have the appropriate temperment for a cage free facility. The place is clean (smells a little but I think that's to be expected) In fact if you watch the webcam you see they are often mopping the floors, and they do a big clean-up at night.
I had the most contact with the owner Julie, it is obvious that she loves dogs and that she wants the experience at Wagville to be a great one for both owner and dog. I was impressed with the indiviual attention we got. After Fritzi came home after staying with them for a several hours of daycare, she became very clingy, I emailed Julie to ask her if she had experience with this, She emailed me back right away gave me some great advice and even offered to try a few different things at Fritzi's next visit, free of charge! They have different sleeping area options, something for everyone really, whether your dog sleeps in a crate, in his dogbed or in your bed, they do their best to recreate that environment for your dog. (at different fees)
A few days later we left Fritzi at Wagville for her first overnight stay (she's never been away from us for longer than a few hours) and she did great! We were able to watch her on the web cam all day, we saw first hand the attention they get from the staff. When we picked her up we even got a "report card" for Fritzi detailing what she did, who she made friends with and her behavior during her stay. Fritzi seemed happy, and apart from being totally exhausted (which we were warned about!) she did not show any signs of stress.
The day after we picked her up from her overnight stay, Julie emailed me to ask how Fritzi was doing and she remembered to ask about the "clinginess" issue I'd had the week prior. (Fritzi was totally fine)
So far my experience with Wagville has been a positive one, I will board Fritzi with them one more night and leave her for the entire next day as well, and then make our final decision regarding the 3 1/2 week boarding.
One of my main concerns is the price. I think if you are looking for daycare or you want somewhere where your dog can play (besides the dog park where you don't know the kind of dogs are runnin' around in there) Wagville is very reasonably priced. However the overnight stay is $50 per 24hrs, I found that this is about $10-13 more than other cagefree boarding places. If I was leaving her for a few days, I wouldn't mind, but I will be using their services for 25 days, so it will be very tough for us. The really nice thing is Julie did say she would work with us on the price so we'll see.....I will update my review as I get to know them better.
- Pros: Cage-Free, Good Customer Service, Web Cam
- Cons: Overnight stays are pricey
Grooming first rate and the best foods
by lalaidbackguy
Our dog and us really enjoy Wagville. He needs to start going there for daycare, right now just goes for grooming and to get his fancy frozen foods. I was surprised at the negative review about the grooming but then the reviewer used foul language, so I guess they are just like that. The groomer is a big tall guy that does stutter, but he sure listens to us! Our terrier has never looked better and that groomer always does just what we want, and we change it sometimes, so I mean that. Of course we don't use foul language, so maybe that makes the difference! Groomers service is very good, sometimes he calls us personally rather than just the receptionist. Terrier clipping is beautiful. He got us hooked too on the raw frozen food which has really helped with the itchy skin and endless scratching the dog goes through.
I think what we like the most is that nails always get cut but are not sharp and the dog smells amazing and is so soft. Other places do okay with the haircut sometimes but the dog does not smell nearly as clean and good. They have a monthly teeth cleaner service too. He told us that our old boy needed this and that was why his breath is bad smelling so will check that out soon. Wagville sure does have a lot to offer and good help too. They care for our dog and we can tell that. Recommend them highly.
Seriously amazing dog care

I don't usually write reviews but I took a really great training class with my Maltese here. The instructor went above and beyond--she was always available even outside of the class to help me with questions, and my pup's leash aggression problems are now a thing of the past. I even started taking her to daycare and I'm addicted to the webcam...every time I look at it someone is snuggling a dog or cleaning the floor, and I can almost always find my baby. If I can't I can call and they'll call her out to the middle of the floor so I can make sure she's ok. Everyone I've met there has been great, I would really highly recommend this place.
- Pros: People, care, trainer
- Cons: Sometimes parking lot gets full

We love Wagville!
by HHR
Wagville took great care of our dog while we were away on vacation for 2 weeks. Our dog is not very social with other dogs or people and was very shy for her first few days at Wagville. The staff there took special note of this and gave her that extra TLC and attention she needed. She soon came out of her shell and started playing with some of the dogs and warming up to the people. When she developed a rash on her paw, they not only recognized the problem, they also called our vet, got the medicine and applied it 3 times-a-day 'til the rash was gone. In addition to the amazing staff there, another great feature of Wagville is their webcam. Whenever we missed our dog (roughly 20 or more times a day for 2 weeks) and had internet access, we could log on and see her. It was a huge relief to actually see her having a good time and being so well taken care of. This was our first time using Wagville and I would definitely trust them to take care of our pup on future vacations.
- Pros: Caring and attentive staff, webcam, indoor/outdoor playground
- Cons: None

Did not make it in the door
by scacountor
I setup an appointment the day before. All was well, until about an hour before I received a huffy puffy message from the hair cutter saying "You requested a summer cut...that is not really specific I am going to shave his coat 1/8 length off if that it not what you want you need to call me back asap"....sorry...at least wait until I get in the door to give me attitude.
- Pros: The reviews below
- Cons: The person who makes the appointments is cool, but the groomer's customer service stinks
Response from this business

One of our groomers has a pretty bad stutter/speech impediment. He's a fabulous groomer, a great guy, loves the dogs, and is really nice to customers. He is under strict instructions to make sure he talks to each client to get exactly what they want, so if he has any questions about the instructions left by a receptionist, he will call the client and ask. In this case, he called and left a message saying he wanted to make sure that the client wanted a really short cut (some people don't understand that a 'summer cut', in the industry, is 1/8 inch), that the directions said a summer cut so he would do that if he didn't hear back, but please call him back if they wanted something else. Due to the speech impediment and therefore some of the long pauses between words I guess the customer thought he sounded haughty and rude, but he didn't mean to be, and he and I are both really really sorry if it sounded that way at all.
best place for your pup

they truly love dogs and have a great facility. no cages, lots of room, lots of staff that are genuinely nice.
- Pros: dog grooming and gentle teeth cleaning, great staff, reasonable rates
- Cons: be prepared to call them several times as if they are working with the dogs, it will go to voicemail
Wagville is a real find for dog care!
by kendrarichards
Wagville gives me peace of mind. I have been impressed with the staff at Wagville from the first visit with my dog for daycare, the staff there know her by name and share details of her day with me when i pick her up. I have just had to leave her for boarding for what feels an eternity for me but thanks to the webcam and my calls being handled by Kim so kindly I have been able to check up on my dog via the webcam or thru calls to see how she is doing.... this is so helpful since I really like to know how she is doing. the staff are really attentive with the dogs and so on top of cleaning up after them. Wagville staff are very hard working and attentive, I cant thank them enough for all of their dedication to both pets and owners ! This place was recommended by a friend and I have learned that I know a few people who use and love Wagville for their dog care needs... what a great confirmation, people that I know who know Wagville all have great things to say. Dogs deserve to be cared so attentively and in an enviornment that is so dog friendly. I love these guys!
- Pros: attentive, caring, hard working staff who love animals and are great with their owners
- Cons: sometimes their attention to animals means that they dont pick up the phone, not great about returning calls if you leave a message or email
