Definitely under rated place. But I love this place because it's low key and they always have great live music and concerts here!
Club Suicide @ The Echoplex

Suicide Girls recently opened a new dance club at the Echoplex. It's a lot of fun so come check it out! DJs Amanda Jones (Perversion, Das Bunker) and Robert Lockerby (Clockwork Orange) play a fun, upbeat mix of Electro, Indie, and '80s music while Suicide Girl go-go dancers grind on stage. It's a cool mixed crowd, and a fun, party atmosphere. We're running the last Saturday of every month. And, we're 18+!
Yes, I am one of the promoters. But, please review us if you've been!
- Pros: Suicide Girls, fun atmosphere, cool venue with state-of-the-art sound, great music, cool scene, valet parking, discounts available.
Good atmosphere, great dancing

The best things I've ever been to at the Echoplex are the Check Yo' Ponytail shows (which were 18+) that have live DJs spinning electronic music and lots of hip kids dancing. The place is great because the crowd is young but the vibe is still pretty relaxed. Fun couches and seating for mingling and flirting, too.
- Pros: Great vibe
Echo Park's gothic-inspired underground nightclub where hipsters rock out to indie bands.
by Brandi Fowler at Citysearch
In Short
Hidden underneath the Echo via a dark stairwell, this basement-turned-club is covered in black paint and lit from the yellow glow of candles. Disheveled hipsters order drinks from leather-coated bars and sit on black leather ottomans and bar stools. A giant projection screen plays retro films and serves as the backdrop for musicians rocking out on a spotlit stage. Bands playing everything from reggae to rock as well as live DJs are featured every week.
