Great service, Great Cut!

I went to The Green Room not knowing what to expect, and walked out convinced that I had found myself a great hairstylist!! Dorie sat me down for a consultation and asked me questions about myself, lifestyle and what hairstyles I like. No other stylist had ever taken the time to listen. She made great suggestions and offered me a beer and pick of what DVD I wanted to watched. Before I knew it she was done. The haircut was better than I had imagined. Her attention to detail and extra touches really made the experience a fun one! Nowadays, I just sit down relax and tell her to do what she thinks will look best. I would strongly recommend trying Dorie.
Interesting experience, but I went home HAPPY

So I use to have my hair buzzed and then for a while I sported the short messy look. However, I decided to grow my hair out long (I guess to others it's medium length). I spent about 9 months growing my hair out and so I didn't want to go to just any old supercuts and have them f* up my 9 month investment, so I tried The Green Room for Men. Perhaps it was just that particular day, but she was running a little behind, which I didn't mind. She was real nice about it. The wait was worth it.
Dorie was very sweet and nice. I brought my macbook to show her a video that I came across where the main guy in it had the hair I wanted. Dorie was real nice and saw it a couple times to make sure she got the details of the hair. When washing my hair, she put a warm towel on my face, which was a nice touch. She also had a little flat screen tv that was playing The Office, so that customers don't get bored while getting their hair cut, also a nice touch.
However, when she started to cut my hair, the darn FIRE ALARM went off and we had to evacuate. Weird. But again, Dorie was still nice and apologized, but this one wasn't her fault.
Dorie spent, it seemed like, more time cutting my hair and getting the details right. When she was done, I was very satisfied. The cut looked BEAUTIFUL.
Although waiting a bit after my appointment time and with the inconvenient fire alarm, it was real easy to get upset but the haircut was exactly how I wanted it, so how could I be mad?!
Dorie listened to what I wanted and delivered, unlike other general places where they just cut whatever they feel like. That is what a great stylist does. I plan on coming back, hopefully it won't be my bad luck and another fire alarm goes off ;)
Now I can brag about sporting the new "Dorie" cut.
In the end, TWO thumbs up to Dorie.
- Pros: Great haircut because she gave me what I asked for. Dorie listens! that is very important.
- Cons: The last haircut running into my appointment time, but Dorie made up for that ;) and gave me a fabulous haircut, so I guess it was just an off day. Nothing to worry about.
