Very Classy, Retro-Oriented
by vivaciousdivah
One of the best places Beverly Hills has to offer. Love this barbershop. All the staff is wearing after 5 clothing, gives each customer a unique, but very relaxing and sophisticated experience. They will take their time cutting your hair the way you like it and pamper you. But there is one catch: No walk-ins...Make an appointment in advance!
- Pros: Example: best croissants in town
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?

Best Gift for Men
by grandmere3
My boyfriend swears that "This was the best gift ever." I was racking my brain trying to figure out what to give my babe for Christmas and heard about The Shave. When I went into the shop (they only allowed me to be in the front retail section) there were soooo many gift options. I decided to get a gift certificate for their signature Shave of Beverly Hills. Well, he loved it and now I will be going there for his Valentine's day gift as well. It's a no brainer. I even bought a great candle for me. The shop smells good too!
total guy grooming experience

finally a place where i can get a shave, haircut, manicure, and shoeshine all without moving out of my chair. no women allowed in the barbershop except the gorgeous assistants who are rubbing your face and hands and massaging your neck at the end of the shave. walked in, sat in a leather chair, watched the flat screen, sipped a guiness while waiting for my shave. wish i had to wait longer. numerous hot towels, lotions, and face rubs later, i got up with my closest shave ever with no irritation or "beard burn". i now go at least 2-3 times a month. great hangout and you never know who will be in the next chair.[bruce willis was there the last time i went in]. a definite don't miss.
- Pros: staff really cares ,luxury experience totally geared for men, no women in barber shop
- Cons: parking can be tough at lunchtime
the perfect sunday destination

it's a perfect guy hang out... i rolled out after a beer and a cut throat shave looking and feeling pretty damn good. if you are a poor guy and want to feel like a king, there is nothing better than a professional shave. this place nails it in every way. (the best part, my girlfriend wouldn't stop touching my face.)
- Pros: the set up, the service, the vibe... very cool
- Cons: you don't want to have to get in your car and drive after the shave.
Gents have a new place to feel old school in Beverly Hills with this sophisticated British shaving emporium/classic American barbershop.

In Short
Owners Adam Dishell and Bill Sanders' Los Angeles homage to high-end guys' grooming offers the elegant ambiance with modern treatments and a fully stocked retail operation. Men may opt for their signature hot towel "Shave of Beverly Hills," or ask for a private shaving lesson. Haircuts and shoe-shines coexist harmoniously with hair removal treatments like "sweater removal" (aka back waxing) and "uni-brow surgery," hair color blending and fingernail scrubs--largely because drinking whiskey and listening to Sinatra is involved.
