These People are Magic
by earnedit
Sunrise changed my life. TJ and Dr. Won are highly dedicated professionals who truly care about their clients well being. Together, they helped me lose over 45 lbs in 7 months (over 6 months ago) and they have inspired me to maintain the results. Before the weightloss, they helped me with infertility, back pain, and various other issues. They work with you to find the best plan of treatment and help to deal with insurance. In short, they are miracle workers! Going to Sunrise regularly has enhanced my quality of life.
- Pros: Unwaivering dedication to helping the patient
- Cons: None

Best Acupuncturist in Los Angeles
by now7
I absolutely swear by this place. Doctor Won is not only an highly intuitive acupuncturist but also an herbologist and Registered nurse. I have been going to Sunrise since they openned and have been off the major medicine I was prescribed to treat a chronic disease. I am free of pain and go when I need maintenance or to spoil myself. TJ is an AMAZING acupuncturist who is compassionate and thoughtful. He gives the best massages after treatment and knows exactly where it hurts. I leave the office feeling high on life and completely stress FREE relaxed. Yes, the Doctors speak Korean as their first language but I find their English easy to understand. They truly care and customize a treatment program for each individual. They have never tried to sell me anything. They have taken me at the last minute when I was traveling and needed help immediately when I came back to LA. They have also helped turn my breech baby down and I was able to deliver easily when traditional Doctors told me I'd never be able to have children. It would take years for them to explain the 4 years minimum acupuncture school they have received to explain what they are doing. They just listen and quietly heal with dedication, care and thoughtfulness. I LOVE THIS PLACE AND RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE!!! My copay is only $15 and I usually tip between $7-15 depending on length of massage.
- Pros: Highly experienced, compassionate (especially TJ) and treatment works wonders. Miracle workers!
- Cons: They can't stay with me 24-7!

When I Walked into Sunrise acupuncture clinic. I found it impossible to raise my arm above my shoulder. was really painful and my entire arm hurt so much I couldn't sleep at night . After only one time treatment the issue was almost gone. I still don't really understand how acupuncture work, the results were fantastic!
Ok, but communication is difficult here.

Every time I?ve gone has been a different experience. The one thing that has been consistent is the lack of organization and lack of effective communication within the office and from patient to doctor. I have never felt that my needs have been met or even understood by any of the staff. They seem to diagnose without really listening to what I am saying. The massages are great, some of the acupuncturist are ok, but it?s really not worth the expense of having to deal with their unorganized way of business.
- Pros: The massages are great
- Cons: Nobody seems to be able to understand English very well - a must have for your doctor!
If your insurance covers it then go
by malibu28
Otherwise I would never pay for this out of pocket.
They're very nice there but they do try to push more stuff then you need.
I think it's great if your insurance covers it and they hope/expect you
leave them a tip.
- Pros: nice and relaxing
- Cons: you have to tell them not to be rough.
