Josh is absolutely the best

I've been to countless stylists in LA who don't listen to a WORD I say. I was referred to Josh Rosebrook by a friend at work. From the minute he introduced himself to me, he was different, so sweet and professional. I feel like my hair is hard to explain how I like it. I'm pretty specific about the color of light brown I like, along with the way I like my hair to lay after it's cut. I don't feel like I am an easy client...haha. Josh listened to me and reiterated everything I said until we completely agreed on everything. I think we talked for 20 minutes, which no one has ever done with me!! Needless to say, my hair was better than I could have imagined, the color is perfection and he took my cut up a notch and i LOVE It! Really a pro on every level and the salon is gorgeous and peaceful. I highly recommend anyone going to see this guy. Thanks again JOSH!! So happy I found you!

NAM IS BRILLIANT! I'VE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER WITH MY HAIR!!

I've had every hair color under the sun and my hair has had to bear the brunt of that. I've also had just about every major salon in Los Angeles and New York take a shot at doing my hair at some point, and I have never been so happy with it's cut and color. It is amazing to me that Nam is so talented at both cut and color. I have never found anyone who is as good as he is with both and I appreciate having just one stylist. I used to spend hours and hours at my last salon getting my hair done, and often I felt like I was sitting and waiting between appointments with different colorists and stylists. Nam does it all and BETTER! It saves time but more than that he provides EXCELLENT service and results! He will be doing my hair this Sunday for the Emmys. He is truly amazing, I'd recommend him to anyone!!

• Pros: He even fed me some of his own delicious (homemade) lunch :)

I <3 YOU, THE PARLOUR.

After years of looking for "cheap" alternatives to getting my hair done at a nice salon, I decided to fork in some extra bucks and try out The Parlour, especially after reading all the positive comments on this site. Like many, I was skeptical about how there could be so much hype about one place, but all the good things said are TRUE. They're excellent in accommodating you and making sure you have all your needs. I've wanted highlights for so long but was afraid of coming out with crazy, chunky bleached out strands. Now my hair looks exactly how I envisioned it... fine, subtle, and natural-looking caramel highlights. It's perfect!! I also brought in a picture of how I wanted my bangs to look... done, exactly how I wanted them. Although I haven't really experienced other L.A. hair salons, I think it'll be extremely hard for me to try any other salon after this. I'll definitely be back!

**Note: Apparently valet is no longer free. There is a $5 service fee.

P.S. Their peppermint tea is delish!

Great Haircuts for a Decent Price!

I got a free haircut at Citysearch's Eat.Drink.Learn. event at The Parlour on 3rd last March and have been going to Emily ever since! She does a fantastic job, listens to what I want and best of all has reasonable rates. Free valet parking with any service!

• Pros: Talented, Experienced Stylists, Chic Salon
• Cons: I wish they hadn't stopped carrying the Kerastase line

BRAZILLIANT!!!! Is all I have to say. You won't find a better stylist in the world. This guy gets it. How many stylist do you know use a computer software to schedule clients? Starts at 6 am? Knows color? Knows how to cut? Understands all types of hair? And reasonably priced? Oh, and did I mention, hilarious? OMG!!!! He is the BEST kept secret in HOLLYWOOD. I have booked soooo many acting and print jobs with the fabulous and trend setting hairstyles he gives me. Everywhere I go, I am constantly bombarded with compliments about who did my hair. Hey, don't take my word for it, try him for yourself. I literally used to wait for people to start my hair for hours, He gets to me right away. Plus, I am in and out. He's not working on thousands of clients at one time. The service is personal and darn right impeccable. Also, I have been going to him for 8 years so this is not how he is on the first visit. This is truly how he operates his business all the time.

Not to mention, the ambiance at The Parlour is incredible. I love Mickey the owner. I like this place because everyone carries themselves professionally. Also, they have free valet parking on thursday-sat. Love it. This place makes you feel like a star, even if you're NOT:-)

Wonderful Service

One thing The Parlour on 3rd excels in is listening to their clients needs. I brought in pictures of hair cuts with a vague idea of what I want and before actually getting my cut, me and the stylist talked and FIGURED OUT together what I was really subconsciously looking for. It was a great discovery. And the way she followed EXACTLY what we described is flawless. I could really tell she was trying her best to give me what I want. Service is incredibly friendly and comfortable...with a "come just as you are" feel that you don't usually find in upscale salons in LA. Needlesstosay, I was completely satisfied with my haircut and absolutely amazed at the precision. I am ready to make this salon my home!

The BEST Color and Client Service in LA!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Parlour on 3rd today to address a minor hair disaster prior to a TV shoot- bleachy blond ends with dark roots, some odd pieces of pastel colors mixed in - definitely in need of color correction. I called first thing this morning and the call was answered by a very professional voice offering me an appointment later the same day. I took it, not knowing what to expect but hoping for the best (as stated previously I had been met with color disaster.)

The BEST is what I got! I was greeted again very professionally by the receptionist in this wonderfully appointed salon, and in no time was put into the very capable hands of Leeya, who is amazing in every sense of the word. Elegant, articulate and lovely, she told me in intricate detail the routes we could take to correct the color as well as what the potential outcome might be - it was the most educated yet honest consultation that I have had after 18 years of having color done. I quite frankly had not expected such an expert.

Results? PERFECT color, a sweet goody bag, and a guarantee that I will not only return myself, but refer the salon to all of my clients! Thank you Leeya for everything!

Best haircut I've ever had

One thing LA is not short of is hair salons! I work nearby and decided to drop in one day. They were busy but assigned me to Nam, a Fred Segal export. My hair is normally very finicky and I was very thorough on what I wanted. He was GREAT at listening and made sure I felt comfortable before starting. The guy is a perfectionist; he never lets time or the dimming light of sunset affect his craft. I walked out with the best cut and color of my life. The owner here is fantastic and extremely down to earth. They do a great job making you feel comfortable. I've found my new favorite salon!

• Pros: Great atmosphere, comfortable, nice owner, fantastic stylist
• Cons: Self parking can be tricky but valet makes up for it

Love It!!!

So let me start off by saying parking is a breeze! Parking is in the back. So easy...So I was told to come to The Parlour one day by one of my friends. She told me to go to Leeya. The day I needed to go in, Leeya was all booked up...I was fine with that because i usually don't let ANYONE cut my hair! I am so neurotic and scared when people cut my hair. Then 15 min later a man called back and said "you could come see Leeya. she made extra time for you." That was so nice of her. My mom and I went in and Leeya, my mom and I felt like we have known each other for 10 years! She is so sweet and the best at making you feel comfortable to take risks with your hair. I loved my haircut and the service. It was so relaxing and the decor is so cute!

• Pros: Leeya and the very nice man taking appts!
• Cons: Nothing at all
