Pete's by the Beach : just Okay..
by Chifen
Every place of business will have its ups and downs. This place is no different, they have: kind staff, but a lot of people to serve; some good bands, but not enough room to see them; and they have fine ladies that come through, but most of them are unoriginal and turn me down like all the others =o). kidding, they were sweet to a perv like me. Give the place a shot if you want, its not half bad in the very least. Not good that guy became sick from the food, that could be the half bad part.
- Pros: Crowded..
- Cons: Crowded..
Hospitalized DON'T GO THERE unless you want to rush to the emergency room.

Went there with some friends who were excited about this new spot in Long Beach. We were soon disappointed with bad service, rude drunk and loud patrons. We were hungry so we ordered some fish & chips, burgers and various appetizers which took forever to come out of the kitchen and were cold. It wasn't long after that I was sick as a dog throwing up and planted on the toilet for hours. I wound up in the emergency room and on IV fluids for 8 hours because of bad fish. DO NOT GO HERE ! ! !

Best Sports Bar in Long Beach!
by jbf109
After searching the Long Beach and the OC for a decent sports bar, I found the answer right across the street from where I live! Petes is located on PCH @ Bellflower and is by far the best place short of ESPN Zone to see a game or 10. The bar area has one giant front projection screen flanked by 4 plasmas on either side and several small tv's below. The menu is huge and everything tastes great. I recommend the burger with bacon, blue cheese, and sauteed onions or any one of the pastas.
- Pros: TV's; service; food; beer selection
- Cons: None!

Catch the game on nine 47-inch plasma TVs behind the bar, stop in for live music or fill up on burgers, pizza, subs and more.
