Horrible, not at all Hollywood!! Ghett0

Ghett0 is the word... this is not like any other club I have ever been to in Hollywood. First off, we get at after 11, and there isn't a single person outside! They let everyone in! A Hollywood crowd it was not, lets just say. Please avoid this place, it is horrible.

Oh, and they tried to scam us. They told us the bottle we bought is $325, but then raised the price all of a sudden to $375!

Very ImPressive - FRIDAY

I met this guy next door to Holly's, at Nacional (See my review of Nacional as well). It was pretty loud over there, so he took me next door to Holly's where I fell in love. Sophisticated and Sensual! The DJ was so into the music - which is a good thing because the DJ booth is in the middle of the floor - where all the action is! The patio is well ventilated and right in front of the club so you can watch people passing by or waiting in line. The intimate setting totally set the mood for the excellent bottle service (Which is a must here!) I was totally impressed by club...and my date! The service is expensive, but with the atmosphere and experience...priceless! If you ever want to totally impress someone, this is a sure-fire way, make reservations and get there early because it fills up fast!

• Pros: sophisticated, sensual, intimate, impressive, atmosphere,exclusive
• Cons: Expensive drinks - get there early and be on the list!

Getting Hotter

I was there about 6 weeks ago and it was ghett0 as $hi! (citysearch just said it detected inappropriate language). However, I think the Management is cleaning up the place b/c the they got some new promoters recently and the crowd is "Hollywood" again (like it used to be a year ago). I was there last Sat and the place was at capacity around 11. Hot chicks and cheap tables. Kind of the LAX/Element/Shag crowd and moving toward a Hyde/Les Deux crowd. The club small (like 150 cap) but the tables are big (not like Lobby's three-seater bs tables)...The last reviewer must have been there before Holly's changed b/c it was PACKED on Sat.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

my friends and i tried to go here on a friday night, for a birthday. we called ahead, gave our names, got on the list (i even have the email from the club). we got there at the time we were told, AND had reserved not one but TWO tables. we get there and it's completely empty, AND YET had to wait for 20 minutes, only to be told that we could NOT get in b/c some "celebrities" would be showing up (as if they would go to this POS place). the extremely rude, self-important and clueless door-woman/hostess told us we MIGHT be able to get in if we bought yet another bottle and table, and only as we were walking away. being a bunch of very heavy drinkers, it was their loss, as we had to choice but to leave and go somewhere else. to top it all off, on the way back, we passed by the front of the dump, just to see what hot A-list celebrities would show up, and maybe catch a sight of the PAPRAZZI..... but, alas, no one was there, big surprise! it still was empty. if you want a good time, i suggest you go anywhere else. If management is reading this - congrats - you officially have the most pathetic door woman, club and attitude in LA.

great music, cool crowd

thursday nites at Holly's are my new LA favorite. the DJs are awesome and the crowd is laidback but fun. i've never had to wait in line or pay cover. the place itself is small but chic and they actually have air vents above the dance floor. great place to chill with your friends.

• Cons: small dance floor, drinks aren't very strong

Thursday nights are awesome. Very attractive crowd and chic atmosphere. I'd go any night of the week, but Thursdays and Saturdays are really fun.

i go to hollys often of thursday for jenn's nite and saturday for taylor's nite both lots fun with warm down to earth and beautiful ppl...if you want something different from the same old hollywood socialte scene but thats still got the hot crowd and great music check out hollys bar :)
