i have been going to marc for many years now but he just got a new hydrafacial machine and its so high tech. so instead of having my regular signature microdermabrasion facial which i really love. now i got to try what he calls hydradermabrasion. it felt so cool, he used a group of different serums to exfoliate my skin instead of crystals. i highly suggest this hydrafacial my skin felt totally moisterised and hydrated after and since it has been so dry this winter it needed it -im going to do one about once a month since i just turned 40 =) - free parking is great !and marc has some fantastic products i have been using for a couple of years now. i have sent many of my family members and co- workers to marc-thanks marc for all of your passion and good energy and my great skin.!

Pros: lots of free parking and a private treatment studio clean and inviting!

Cons: bathroom is next door but no biggie

For some reason, Marc's minimal publicity has gone straight to his head. From the second you walk in, he thrashes your skin, your regimen, and any/all the products you use (unless you bought them from him)... and what any normal esthetician would commend you on, he belittles. For example, if you're using an SPF, you're obviously not reapplying; if you're using an eye cream, you're definitely not using it twice a day. It's non-stop bombardment of insults, not to mention the fact that he waves his community college education around like its a medical degree from Harvard. And to top it off, he has signs everywhere about appropriate tipping... quite tacky in my opinion. His services are good, but the attitude and condescension make the trip not worthwhile.

marc made my skin look great after i lived with wrinkles and discoloration for too long. after the vi peel and the cosmelan peel and his microdermabrasion my face looks amazing and i look younger now. i wish i had done these treatments a few years ago. now im dating more and i feel super confident. they have appts 7 days a week and the free parking is so convenient. plus i love the fact that the place is private " just for you" each client has the place to themselves . this makes it a really relaxing experience. so i just encourage everyone who wants to have beautiful skin to try marc i am so glad i found him on citysearch. make your appts with him in advance as he usually books up!

I have been going to Marc for the past year now, and every time I leave is with great results. So far he has only done wonders with my skin and I'm always looking forward to my next treatment. I recently wen back for a treatment, and it was even better than last. He has this new machine that is water base, and it really does an amazing job with the skin. The best thing that I love and that makes me go back every time to Marc is the fact that he is always in search of the best and in search of enhancing his knowledge to keep up with the technology and demands of skin care, and products. Overall, he has done a great job in clearing my skin, and highly recomend him to everyone!

Marc touts his extensive celebrity clilent list, but you obviously need to be a celebrity to be treated with common courtesy in his salon. He was easily the rudest man I have ever encountered. Paronizing and condecending from the minute I walked in. I've worked in the service industry for many years. I am patient with slow and forgetful waiters, never get annoyed waiting for a drink at a busy bar, but after 5 minutes with marc I was ready to walk out of there - refund or not. Lets just say that when I asked him to recommend which products my skin needed the most, his response was: Well I wouldn't spend 45 minutes giving you a skin analysis if I didn't expect you to buy these products! (referring to several hundred dollars in skin care products pushed on me through the course of the treatment) I should also probably mention that there were 3 negative comments posted on yelp about his less-than-stellar bedside manner, all of which have mysteriously disappeared and been replaced with a reviewer named "marc" who occassionally slips into the 1st person. As is the review he seems to be commenting on on citysearch. But whats a few bad online reviews when you've got a client list like his?

Pros: Free Parking - Sure, I'll give him that.

Cons: Everything else

Overall, it was a great facial. I liked that Marc broke down for you what was lacking and what you needed to do to improve your skin. He definitely has top notch technology to explain to you what is going on with your skin. I do think that he could use an assistant to man the desk. It gets a little hairy when there are a few people that arrive at the same time. At first I thought that he was pushing the products a little too hard, but I did purchase something and my skin has been looking better. So I shouldn't complain about that! I've had microdermabrasion facials before, and I would rank Marc up there. I just think the environment, with an assistant, could be a little better.

Pros: free parking, quality facial, nice guy

Cons: very small space, could use an assistant

OMG! Before coming to Marc my skin was a nightmare. I do surgery for a living and am often wearing the surgical mask around my jaw and chin. That combined with poorly ventilated dry hospital air, hormones and stress my face was a disaster. I even went back to my dermatologist to get antibiotics again. After 3 months nothing was working. Then I sought out Marc and what a difference! Like night and day! He analyzed my skin before the treatment. He is very knowledgeable about products, skin types, new derm medicines, etc. and knew just exactly what to do with my skin. He did the works on me! I mean it, I have never had a facial like that before. I don't know how many machines he used on me, there must have been at least 6 different things (sonic something, ultrasound, microderm, lights!) It cost a bit, but honestly it was the best workout my skin ever had. I felt so refreshed and my skin was so smooth. Also one of my favorite parts was the casmara mask and I highly recommend asking for it (I'm not sure if it was included in the price or extra, so just ask). I have never had a mask like this. It was so good and nice and cool (especially after the microdermabrasion). I was a little nervous because the mask is made to cover your eyes, but then it started working and I realized why, it was so refreshing and after he took it off my skin was so hydrated it GLOWED!! but not greasy it was incredible. Everytime I go back I always remind him to make sure he makes it part of my treatment. Overall I was extremely pleased. My skin has been in top shape since then (almost a year and a half) and my hyperpigmentation from my acne lesions practically faded after 2 visits. My pores are smooth and I feel as confident in Marc as I do with my dermatologist. He is great company, that sometimes we talk just a tad too much that I forget to relax. But hey then again I go to Marc for skin therapy not psychotherapy. Overall rating: Marc is the best when it comes to fabulous skin!

WAIT A MINUTE- i am very professional i would never burp and not say excuse me. this client had come in for a SPA WEEK promotion which she only paid $50 bucks for (it was normally $175) remember the story you cant please all of the people all of the time. how many of us can? but i do one of the best jobs in LA offering the most advanced facial treatments in a beautiful skincare boutique setting which is private and allows each client to get individual attention 7 days a week with free parking. if this client really had a bad experience then im SORRY that she did. however if celebrities trust me and i have been featured in 20 magasines and i am booked 2 weeks in advance i think this speaks for itself also i chose to branch out from working with more then 7 top skin docs in LA to open my own facial treatment clinic- by the way i do all of the treatments myself, book the appts,order the products,run the credit cards and educate other estheticians on my facial techniques. so i am passionate about what i do. thank you frontiers magasine and west hollywood news paper for voting me 'BEST ESTHETICIAN IN LA" for appts call Marc Edward Skincare (213) 705-8899

I went to see Marc for the first time after returning from my honeymoon. My skin was dehydrated and not in the best condition as a result of all of the traveling. Marc was simply AMAZING!! He worked on my skin like a true expert, and provided the most thorough consultation I have ever received. Not only is he exceptionally knowledgeable about skincare and willing to share his knowledge with his clients, he is also extremely intuitive in working with his clients. He keeps up with the latest research and uses the best equipment and technology. Marc provided a personalized skincare regimen for me which I have been using for the last few weeks, and my skin looks WONDERFUL!! I recommend Marc to anyone who wants to see RESULTS!! Marc is fantastic!!

I drive 2 hours to get my facials from Marc. He's very knowledgeable and does cutting edge facials. He uses the latest equipment and the most results oriented products. I'm a facialist myself, but only Marc touches my skin. No one believes I'm as old as I am. I look at least 15 years younger thanks to Marc.

Pros: Uses only high quality products.

Cons: If you know of any, let me know. I haven't found any!
