The best Filipino food I've had in a LONG time

by tyneshad

I plan to bring my friend back to this place because it has such a comfy feel to it and the food is absolutely delicious. The place is family run, so the service is friendly and homey. The milkfish, which I'm told is native to the Phillipines and is exported directly from the islands, was just crispy enough and very flavorful. I also liked the mango smoothie and the seafood soup, which reminded me a bit of gumbo. Yum!

  • Pros: Good food, good prices and a comfortable dining experience
  • Cons: Limited parking, no breakfast...yet

Delicious Filipino Food (SUPER SARAP)

by atewoot

My son had his first birthday, and we had them cater the party. Everybody loved the food and I asked where I orderd them. Everything that I ordered was impeccably tasty. I would highly recommend them for catering and for dining...

tasty and just like home

by derbyshire82

i have been to quite a few filipino restaurants in LA, and for most the quality of food ranges from mediocre to very good. and i must say this restaurant definitely falls into the latter category. I highly suggest the crispy pata, and the palabok. and if you see the owner working (overtly energetic woman with glasses) find out what the special for that day is, because she is the one who cooks it, and has yet to disappoint. Although the wait can be somewhat long at times, it is well worth.

the drinks are entertaining and the atmosphere very welcoming.

ALEJANDRO'S IS CLOSE!

by erich213

Where do I begin? From their famous crispy pata (fried pork knuckles) to their Bicol Express (seafood in coconut milk) to their cold watermelon coolers. The service is great. The food is fresh that's why you have to wait a bit for your order. I have been coming back ever since they opened and will continue to recommend them.

You may just opt for street parking just because they only have a few spots at the back.

It was good while it lasted.

  • Pros: high quality food, service
  • Cons: CLOSE FOR BUSINESS

Eagle Rock's picturesque Filipino restaurant brings tropical treats and traditional dishes to Eastsider foodies and families.

by Martha Burr

In Short
This sunny, tropical family-run place exudes warmth from both inside and outside the kitchen. Featuring a curvy bamboo bar and the lacquered cabinets, the airy room sports ceiling fans, mirrors, parquet floors and comfy padded chairs. Local families crowd around heaping platters of traditional favorites, while Eagle Rockers and Silver Lakers dine on ginger mussel soup, deep-fried pork knuckle, chicken adobo, and sizzling coconut shrimp. For dessert, there are flan, sticky rice cakes and off-the-menu, banana-leaf wrapped banana and jackfruit.
