Best Boba Place Ever, No Argument
by kiercemartin at Citysearch
This is simply the best Boba place ever. We drive all the way from Malibu just for this Boba place. Sounds kind of stupid, and maybe it is, but it's just a great place. Chill atmosphere, UCLA kida are always in there studying, it's family owned so the service is great, and the Boba is always consistent and all the drinks are made fresh. It's so good I don't even know what to say. It's ridiculous to say this, but it's probably one of my favorite places in LA. Just something about it.
Good place to study

Boba Loca is one of the better places to study in Westwood. At night it is usually quiet (almost eerily so), and it's cozy with cushions and little tables perfect for laptops. There is free wireless internet and you can basically stay as long as you want. They have a very large selection of bobas and milk teas, as well as traditional coffee and tea. My favorite is the green tea boba - awesome! I wouldn't go here to just hang out, chat, and relax though: it's too quiet and cramped.
- Pros: quiet and free wifi for studying, good selection
- Cons: westwood parking, small with limited seating
great drinks and great atmosphere

been coming here for a long time, the place is perfect for hanging out alone or with a group of friends. the drinks are a good bargin compared to other drink places (a.k.a starbucks....) and provides free wirless. the people that work there are very relaxed and the mood is just that, nothing uptight or corporate by any means.
- Pros: drinks, free wi-fi, atmosphere.
- Cons: none
Hitts the spot

I love Boba Loca. They do it right--I had no idea they were a chain bc of the friendly personal service and the fresh fruit-infused boba drinks. I use to go to Noodle Planet for boba, but I've changed to this place. My fave--the chai tea and the shaved mango--it has shaved mango on top of mango ice-cream with diced mango. So refreshing!
One time a homeless guy came in and tried to kiss me and sometimes noisy freshmen or this one annoying girl who works there come in-which are all equally bad; other than that, I love studying here b/c it has good lighting (unlike Novel or Jerry's) some outlets (4 total), and they stay open late.
- Pros: price, taste, opens late
- Cons: needs to open earlier than 10am!!, that annoying girl who works there and talks louder than the freshman experiencing boba for the 1st time
