Awesome place for tasty Thai food!
by nonat90007 at Citysearch
The panang tofu and the vegetable drunken noodles are both favorites! You can request extra spiciness, if you so desire (as I always do). And their tofu is fabulous! - it's not overly chewy or spongy - delivers saucy flavor in little savory cubes of joy.
- Pros: Food, service and value.
- Cons: Parking is a bit hard to find
WONDERFUL Pad Thai
by Betho at Citysearch
Wonderful food at a reasonable cost. I would recommend it highly!
- Pros: great blend of sushi and thai
- Cons: none
Consistently good food that is the best thai in the area.

The decor is bright, and airy. The space minimal but warm. The food/service subtle but effective. We left full and without a huge dent in the pocketbook. They offer a 15% KCRW discount on food. They offer Thai as well as sushi and a full bar.
Super Duper Thai!

This is my favorite place to Thai food in LA. They are tasty and healthy. I like the restaurant's atmosphere. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a good meal. They are very busy during lunch on weekday which is of no surprise since the price is very reasonable. The service slows down when the place is packed but it's understandable. I would go there for dinner when I don't have to fight for a seat with the office workers in the area at lunch.
Best Thai Food and Sushi
by adam91601 at Citysearch
My friends took me to Gindi Thai for a birthday dinner. I was surprised to find out that there is a good Thai restaurant in the valley and it dressed so nicely. I used to go to Hollywood to enjoy delicious Thai food but not anymore. The sushi is good and reasonably priced. I came back for a business lunch and the atmosphere is different. At lunch, it's quite crowded and service gets a bit slower since everyone wants to get in and get out.
I'd suggest that you go for dinner time so you can enjoy the great food without the rush.
Awful service, mediocre food
by vmg95 at Citysearch
I've been to Gindi a few times due to the proximity to the studios where I work. The food is mediocre at best, but I've gone back due to the lack of restaurant options in the area. The service has never been good, but lately it is just awful! For a packed lunch crowd, they had just two servers. I sat at the bar for almost 15 minutes and no one even asked if I wanted water. I am done with this place. Their sushi is not fresh, but considering this is a Thai restaurant, why do they even have sushi?? They should concentrate on perfecting their Thai dishes (which are very uninspired) and training their staff to take care of their patrons. I won't be going back.
Thai in the nick of time

I decided to to celebrate my best friend's birthday & try a new restaurant. I knew that he loved Sushi and search on the city search website. I found this restaurant and did not read the reviews in order to form my own opinion of the restaurant. We arrived at about 9:30 pm on a Saturday night without a reservation and although they closed at 10 pm, we never rushed. We were very impressed with the thai infused menu and although the sushi menu appeared to be small, it was more than enough. The larb gai appetizer was a rainbow of flavors and itself was a meal and the gindi special roll was fresh, the tuna had a deep healthy color, and it was prepared with very little rice topped with spicy scrimp. We got our first dish in a manner of minutes and enjoyed their house sake and amazing ecleptic music selection which complemented the modern and chic decor. We were attended by our server and a young man who seemed to be checking every table at the restaurant. The atmosphere was very intimate, welcoming and the restaurant well maintained. Their bar was well stocked and i will definately return with my friends.
- Pros: attentive and friendly staff
- Cons: none
excellent tempura, great service
by BethDPT at Citysearch
The place kinda looks like Ikea but in a good way. The service is always amazing, their mojitos are great, the sashimi is as good as all the thai dishes which are all spectacular. I would particularly recommend the pineapple fried rice and gra pow. Good prices too. Parking can occasionally be a bit tricky.
- Pros: excellent food, excellent service, great ambience
- Cons: not the best parking
Great food!
by foodie114 at Citysearch
This is one of the best restaurants I've been to recently. All of the food was excellent. My boyfriend and I tried their sashimi (which was great, it melted in my mouth), a noodle dish, their 3 kinds of curry, and their mango sticky rice dessert (which was delicious!). We got there right when they opened so it wasn't very busy, but the decor was subtle yet trendy. Their drink list looked really good as well. I will definitely be coming back here!
- Pros: Great food, reasonable prices
- Cons: Parking was a little difficult
Great Authentic Thai Restaurant with Cocktails.

A Friend recommended that we check out this place. It turned out to be the tastiest Thai restaurant that i been to in LA. It's a nice spot where you can chill and have a great meal.
Everything that we tried was very fresh and flavorful. We started off with some sushi rolls. Then for the entrees we had the, Volcano Chicken and Miso Seabass. The fish was fresh and was cooked perfectly with a balance of flavours.
They also have a full bar so it's a great place to hang out and chill. The staffs are super-nice. Not the type that you get from a regular asian restaurant.
