If you live in the Southern California area, and are looking for a therapist then I recommend Dr. Nickerson. I was (and still am) getting over a difficult divorce that occured last year (2005), and it was only when I started seeing Dr. Nickerson that I was able to say "This is hard . . . but it's going to be okay." Whereas I previously wasn't able to think of the "bigness" of living on my own again, I am now excited about starting over. Definitely someone to see first if you're gun shy like I was - not the stereotypical glasses-on-the-nose doctor.
Pros: Non-judgmental, warm, flexible with scheduling
