best pho in 90025 area

by bananasareformonkeys

i love having a good soup, and it's not the easiest in los angeles, if you want vietnamese food, it either gets too weird, where you don't really know what type of meat is in your soup or you get fancy fusion food that has nothing to do with vietnam...

pho 99 rocks, it's fast, it's cheap and their soup stock is really well seasoned and flavored! i usually go with number 2, the really safe pho with rare steak, it's amazing. i am not much into fatty meat, yes i am the spoiled kid that loves white meat and lean meat... staff is nice here, it's not a fancy restaurant, but come on, if you are hungry you need your food fast and that's what you get here, you can be in and out in 15minutes.

  • Pros: parking garage underground, fast, easy and affordable

A Quick and Easy Pho...

by kiercemartin

This was my first time to ever try pho, and even though I don't have anything to really compare it to. I thought this place was great. They are definitely Pho-focused, so I wouldn't go looking for ambience or anything like that, but if you're just looking for some good pho, then this is definitely the place. The staff was really nice, and the food was ready super quick. They also branch out from the traditional beef noodle and have a really good seafood pho that one of my friends tried, as well as chicken and tofu and pretty much anything else you could put in noodles and broth. In any case if you're looking for a good steaming pho, this is the place.

MMMmmMMMM!

by jolie714

Really good broth and good quality noodles. The soup is always HOT and it's always quick to come out. They don't seem to give as much meat as other places but they said that's because beef has become more expensive. I would recommend this place!

  • Pros: Good locations, always has parking, Great soup!
  • Cons: doesn't give enough beef in the soup

This no-frills pho spot in K-town serves piping hot bowls of the popular Vietnamese beef noodle soup and more.

Awesome pho

by plexas

I eat here almost once a week either for lunch of dinner. Their pho is terrific and is what I order most of the time. There is always seating available and the staff is friendly and prompt.

Bastards!

by kerrpluunk

Non-existant service. Cold waiters. They would not serve us twice claiming they were closed even though it was a half hour before closing. Never going back and you shouldn't either!

  • Pros: parking
  • Cons: do-it-yourself service, hours, ambiance, waiters,

So so service, skimpy food

by butthugger

Went for lunch with a big group from work, about 10 of us and it was pretty busy for the lunch crowd, with almost all the tables taken. We got seated pretty quickly and had water brought out whereupon the waiter never came back. When we were finally ready and had been waiting for awhile 20+ minutes, some of us went looking for him whereupon he told us to take our own orders! I understand that it was pretty crowded and that he was the only waiter taking orders for all the tables, but take your own orders?! So we did, and I ordered the large version of the pho. Unfortunately, the large pho came out to be the same size as the normal sized ones just put into bigger bowls with more broth. Also, some us noticed that our pho were missing key ingredients like tripe, tendon, parsely the things that came with our selections. I've been here countless times and have never had such a crappy experience, but I did notice that the place was being run by a few men where before it had always been women. Maybe new ownership?

  • Pros: This time there were none
  • Cons: Hire another waiter, dont skimp my food and dont tell me to take my own order

Great Pho!

by daflower

This place is a little hidden but if you've been to the Pho 99 in Orange County, it's just as delicious. The place is pretty big and you don't normally have to wait for a table. The service is fast and the food is cheap. I would recommend getting any of the pho's (on the first page of the menu). Fyi, you can pay with a credit card, but you have to tip in cash -

  • Pros: Fast service, parking, good cheap food
