awesome Haircut.. Thanks Lynesy!

I've been jumping from one salon and stylist to another for the past 2 years. Some of them nice, but just did a poor job and some so pretenious that I left before they even touched my hair. So frustrating! However I recieved a coupon from a friend of mind to Pomp Salon and so I went. There I met Lynesy. She was so nice and had really good energy. She made sure to explain the process, and gave me suggestions instead of INSISTING on what I should do with my hair. There was no attiture, no preteniousness. It was great. AND she did a great job. Your Awsome Lynesy! Thanks!

Great Stylist

Pomp and Helen, my stylist, is a great place to go for a cut/styling. It's more like an experience really. The setting is in a beautiful location, the parking simple, valet and validated, and my stylist, Helen was fantastic. Helen is really talented and she always makes me look and feel great . Helen is really fun, cool to talk to with great stories and has proven to be extremely flexible to accommodate my schedule. I couldn't recommend or rate her more highly! Do yourself a favor...

Not worth the money

I had my haircut and color done at this salon last year. I had a beautiful long angled bob. I liked my color but my hair was chopped so bad that I am still trying to grow it out. Lisa created a haircut that did not suit my face and it was the most the most expensive haircut that I ever had ($130.00). It is so not worth the money. Maybe other stylists that work there are superb but I am still bitter about my experience.

Ask for Helen at Pomp Salon

Helen is absolutely the best! She is a very talented stylist and colorist, and will literally keep you in stitches with her stories. At the beginning of every appointment, Helen asks whether you are happy with your color and cut from the last appointment. She listens to what you have to say. At the end of the appointements she requests that you call if you want something changed. She remembers preferences -- such as a second wash after cutting to get rid of those insidious pieces of hair (pet peeve of mine). Helen has been doing my hair for at least eight years, and recently moved to Pomp salon -- and, of course, I followed. The salon is friendly and comfortable and has massage chairs and loads of magazines. Helen has seen me through long hair and short hair, and she always does a great job!

Nice people- WAY too expensive

Love the location and the staff- everybody is super nice and they really spend the time with you. I went in a few weeks ago and the color was great- cut not so great. And super-duper expensive- I mean 1/3 of my rent for a trim and some highlights. And I have to get the cut fixed- grrr. But I cant say this enough- they are so nice and have a huge following for a reason.

Hand downs best hair stylist with two hands...

Helen is the best hairdresser with two hands. Hands down, she is the most talented, friendly and gifted hair stylist in the vicinity. I love this place, everyone is very friendly and the coffee is robust! My hair always looks great afterwards and the wash is semi-orgasmic. Try it!

Ask for Helen...you wont regret it.

Decision 2008: Miss Betty

If you're looking for a creative professional to either maintain your current look or revamp your entire appeal, Betty is the woman for the job. She has a beautifully creative flair for taking your vision of yourself and getting it right. With her winning personality, charm, and attitude you'll not only going to be pleased with the results, you'll be pleased with the entire experience.

I used to have a guy that did my hair for a number of years (he was a friend of mine from High School) and for the longest time, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair. Then I moved to LA. I had the hardest time finding someone I could be comfortable with. Sometimes I come up with a crazy idea and want to see what it looks like on me. Jason used to just do it and make it look good no matter what weirdness I was talking. Betty is the same way. I can ask her to try something unusual and she doesn't make me feel weird about it. I think it's always hard relating to someone what you're looking for in a style, cut, color or whatever. You might wonder what they're thinking about what you're thinking. Honestly, I feel like I found a friend in Betty, not just someone who does my hair. I don't know how to relate this feeling in words. It's just nice to know you're going to be taken care of.

Not everyone likes to feel special, so if making friends and being in a comfortable situation isn't the thing for you, don't go to Betty. But if you're looking for a unique and genuinely friendly professional, Betty is the ONLY decision you need to make.

The next time you're in Santa Monica go to POMP, ask for Betty by name and tell them Felix says "hi".

Beautiful environment with beautiful employees!

Where can you find free parking, great service, and a beautiful professional staff in Santa Monica- all while getting treated a special as I feel I deserve? Pomp Salon. This place is extra-ordinary. This is not your grandmothers hair salon. All of the stylists are professional, hard working, and easy on the eyes. As hard as I work, I look forward to visiting them each month so I can relax and unwind. Thanks for the look! I feel so good when I arrive, and even better when I leave. Professional Experience!

BEST COLOR I EVER RECEIVED, GO TO BRIT IF YOU WANT AMAZING COLOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am from NY and was staying at a nearby hotel. I randomly went to this salon and ended up with the best color I have ever had. I love my hair!!!!!!!!!!!! I only wish I could have Brit do my hair back home. She is very talented. Anyone who wants fabolous hair should make appointments with her. I have never loved my hair so much!!!!!!!!! Pomp is a cute place on Ocean Ave. Definitely worth a visit. Thanks Brit!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Wedding Hair and Make Up E-V-E-R!

Miss Betty and her fabulous team of ladies did the most INCREDIBLE job on hair and makeup for my wedding. Not only did they travel to our hotel destination, but they were early, had everything they needed to make us look amazing and they were a bunch of fun. Let's be honest here, to take on a bride, 9 bridesmaids, a mother of the groom and 2 flower girls is no easy task, but Miss Betty and her Mod Squad did it with style, grace and in a timely fashion. I would recommend Miss Betty and her team over and over and over again.

Amazing hair and makeup = yes,

Reasonably priced = yes,

Fun = yes,

Best Hair color and cut I have ever had

Yes,

I have been to many salons from northern california, and now southern california.

I got very lucky to have been given the gift of "Miss Betty".

I was very nervous, because I had my hair colored from another salon that was very inexpensive. Wow did it look it. My hair turned orange.

"Miss Betty" spent a very long time with me talking about what to do, and teaching me so much about how to do my hair, since I couldn't get her to move in with me, and fix it every day. My hair was layered, and thinned out, because I have rediculously thick hair. It now looks amazing, and I can meet with the head of my company who is flying in from Italy, with confidence.

She is like the Doctor of Color, and Style. She is also very sweet, and gives a great head, and neck rub.

I felt very spoiled, and loved every minute of it.

Anyone would be lucky to have her as their stylist. Everyone at the Salon is suportive and kind.
