BEST ITALIAN PLACE IN CANYON COUNTRY BY FAR
by msirish27 at Citysearch
This is the 2nd time we have eaten here and it only got better. The first time I had the ravoili with meatballs, it was better than what my old Italian grandma used to make.
Tonight we had the appetizer which had coconut shrimp, fried ravioli, cheese stick, the meat sauce was really good, but the sweet n sour sauce was wonderful.
The service is also quite good, your drinks are never empty. The owner usually comes around to make sure everything is up to par. This is how a place should be run, the owner making sure everyone is happy and well fed.
The waiters are very friendly also.
YOU CAN GO WRONG EATING HERE.
Ok ok ok I know enough already, but when you think about it, people are really QUICK TO SAY SOMETHING
***BAD*** BUT HARDLY EVER SAY ANYTHING GOOD
WELL THIS IS MY GOOD.
You can't go wrong eating here. Whether you have 2 or 15 they will make sure you are taken care of.
On a scale of 1 to 10 this is a 12+++! They are also very good with kids :(<--- some places the kids run wild, but not here.
the garlic knots are wonderful, and if you ask for some to take home, they give you a nice serving for snacking later.
The pizza was beyond good. Nice thin crust. Lots of pineapple and bacon.
So if you want to have an exceptional meal, this is the place to go to.

- Pros: Wonderful service plus excellent food
- Cons: There are no draws back ok maybe the lack of parking

Went to the Old Road location for dinner to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniv. (We went there once before just for drinks and appetizers and it was ok). We walked into a near empty restaurant and were asked by 3 different employees if we had reservations. We were seated promptly but a visit by the waiter was slow in coming (as it was throughout the night). Took awhile to get our food, Chicken Marsala for the wife and Baked Penna for me. The food was average. Good wine list with reasonable prices however. When it came time to pay we wanted to use an American Express Gift check. Before signing it we asked our waiter if they would take it. He wasn't sure but said he would ask the manager. Five minutes later a young lady came over (not the manager) and said it would be no problem as long as it was American Express. We signed the gift check and a few minutes later she came back saying they couldn't take it. We asked to speak to the manager and she disappeared . A few minutes later she came back again and stated that she was going to have to call someone to get it approved. We waited but the manager never showed up. Finally, they took the gift check. I can't believe that the manager did not have enough common courtesy (or business sense) to come over and hear our concerns. I guess their business must be good enough that they don't have to worry about repeat customers.
- Pros: average food
- Cons: horrible management and customer service
Best Italian in Canyon Country...

The food here is absolutely incredible! The Stuffed shells and Tequila Chicken are my favorites. My husband and I live locally and it is a real treat to have such a great restaurant just around the corner. They are always busy, especially in the evenings. I don't mind waiting, every patron waiting with us is wonderful to talk to, everyone is always relaxed and happy here. The service is wonderful. If you want to slip away by yourself, with a date, graduation dinner, etc.,this is the place to go. We love everything about Bella Cucina!
- Pros: Excellent cuisine, friendly staff, happy patrons.
- Cons: Sometimes you have to wait a little in the evening.
A Delightful and Delicious Little Restaurant

I was delighted to try Bella Cucina last year when it first opened. It?s sandwiched between businesses in a non-descript business area and you?d hardly notice it unless you knew it was there (though it sits on busy Soledad).
It?s a fairly small restaurant in a single (noisy or cozy, depending on your spin) room. The food is really, really good. The garlic knots are yummy as is the salad and the entrees are really authentic. It tastes homemade.
I?ve tried a few different things over the past year and haven?t been disappointed with anything except the desserts. On my next visit, I will still have my decaf cappuccino but till skip the desserts; tiramisu was too bland and too full of whipped cream.
Wine selection is nice and the menu has enough variety to keep it interesting. Prices are very reasonable and the place has always been packed when my husband and I have gone.
I really hope this business makes it; it?s nice to see the little guy thrive in a world of dog-eat-dog mega-mergers.
- Pros: Authentic Italian food, good wine
- Cons: It can be crowded
