LLOOVEE IT!

by jillbanner

Of course there would be a line for this (but it does go by fast). Cookies and ice cream is so yummy! So simple to make, but it's not the same. AND it's only $1.50. Whenever I'm in the area, I HAVE to stop by Diddy Riese. There's not really any place to sit, but it's a good desert to have while walking around Westwood.

  • Pros: PRICE
  • Cons: Line guarenteed

REVIEW FROM CITYSEARCH's 3BUCKBITES DICTATOR

by KRamos

Perhaps best known among college students starving for its sweet relief from studying, Diddy Riese is a landmark in UCLA's Westwood. It is one of the first places introduced to newly-accepted freshmen, and rightfully so, as Diddy's ten varieties of freshly-baked cookies and twelve flavors of Dreyers premium grand ice cream deserve the attention. The best parts: sinfully cheap prices and late night hours. Ice cream sandwiches - any combo of two cookies and a generous scoop of ice cream smooshed between them - are only $1.50 and a perfect late-night treat. My go-to favorite: oatmeal raisin with espresso chip ice cream.

cookies + ice cream = perfection

by samsooni

I love diddy riese ice cream sandwiches! What an amazing idea, ice cream sandwiched between cookies. God, I wish I had thought of it. There are various ice cream flavors and different types of cookies. I've made it my mission to try all of them because I am a glutton. Only problem is it's so far away.

  • Pros: ice cream sandwiches
  • Cons: far away

$3 for parking and $1.00 for a cookie sandwich

by hiphophoney85

Just like the headline says.. .you pay more for parking then you do the amazing cookies!!! i think its something about the fact that it is cheap that makes it taste that much better. If you dont want the ice cream, you can just get the cookie, but i highly recommend goin the whole 9 yards... 2 thumbs up Diddy!!

Best Cookies I've Ever Had

by stellarsummer

I love everything about this place! And so does pretty much everyone I know - the place is definitely a Westwood/Los Angeles institution, and with good reason. I am a serious dessert lover (my first word was 'chocy', short for chocolate), and I've never had better chocolate chip cookies. Soft, chewy, and just sweet enough, they're classic with an extra deliciousness abut them. It's a one of a kind place - everyone is friendly, patient while taking orders (even large ones) and the prices are SO cheap - 3 cookies for a dollar! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner the other day and he was such a nice guy. I'd also add that no one I've known who goes there (and I know quite a few people, since I'm there several times a week) has had a bad experience there or anything CLOSE to what the person below me has said. Do yourself a favor and stop by - make sure you have cash!

  • Pros: Delicious desserts, incredible prices, great people watching

bad customer service

by uhsoncoya

me and my friends went to this place in westwood village one night, and unfortunately i refused to give them service becuase as i was ordering i asked if they had chocolate milk available to sell, and one of the employees said "si aqui lo tengo" and grabbed his crotch. REALLY innappropriate. in translation he said, "yes, right here". but aside from that i heard their desserts are good.

Best Ice Cream & Cookies...YUMMMMM

by Lucys18

So this was my husband's and my first time in LA this past May 2008 (visiting family & enjoying LA) and we were trying to figure out things to do, when he did an internet search on the "Best things to do while in LA" when he ran across Diddy Riese Cookies. This places is AMAZING. The shop is cute and in a great location. The line was long, but I was in shock of how quickly it moved. We were in and out in no more than 2 minutes. Both of us ordered Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches and all I can say is WOWWWWW : P... (to drool for). Please stop by this shop if you are in town, you WILL NOT REGRET IT!!! Enjoy it today Marisol & Mami!!!

  • Pros: Price, Taste, Service :)

BEST and CHEAPEST cookies anywhere!!!

by foodie114

The cookies are the BEST and they're 3 for only $1!!! It's also in a great location, right near a whole bunch of shops, movie theaters, and restaurants. Their ice cream sandwiches are great too. A definite must if you live in L.A..

  • Pros: Cookies, ice cream, price, location
  • Cons: Street parking can be hard if it's a busy night (but there are pay lots)
