Hells yeah. Lamonica's is the best. If you go to UCLA, or is ever in Westwood, look in the Daily Bruin (UCLA's daily paper); there is usually a coupon for Lamonica's where you get a 2-topping Large for 9.99, including a free large drink!

The Garlic Knots are the BEST!

Just like NY pies! The atmostphere is very collegiate, but the murals and little tokens of NY are great. The pizza is fantastic, but it's the garlic knots to go for. The service is friendly and it's very clean. Great date place!

This pizza really comes close to the pizza in Newyork. We were in newyork recently and we wanted to find pizza just like the pizza there. We finally found it. I would definatly recommend it!!

This comes close to the pizza parlors there! you really feel like you're in newyork.

I love Lamonica's pizza. I went on a date to Lamonica's six years ago and I have been hooked ever since. I definitely recommend this pizza joint than any other in the Los Angeles area.

Probably the best Pizza in LA. You can go in a nd get a quick slice or order a whole pie. Sicillian cheese is highly recommended! Not really a place to go in and sit down but if you want to pick up some pizza to take home..this is the place.

Best NY Pizza in L.A.

I have been searching for SOMETHING that resembles pizza in Los Angeles and found Lamonica's to be the closest thing to the real thing.

The crust, and even the ambience is like a pizza place in the city.

If you aren't from NY you may not care for the ambience or service but it's alright by me.

BETTER than anything in NYC!!!

Just got back from a trip to NYC where I visited my favorite places there, Joe's, Grimaldi's, and many others, and LaMonica's here in LA far beats them all! Have been coming here weekly since I moved here -- it's THE BEST!!!!! Superb NY crust with that NY water, awesome pizza..... Would sit in LA traffic for ours to get to this pizza -- you just can't find it elsewhere..... even in NY!!! I tried!!!! Great service, too, very friendly, and clean and an awsome NY ambiance. Prices should be double, as I often drive in 30 miles to go there, and wouldn't mind paying through the sky for a slice of this heaven!!!!! They're all good, but Westwood is my favorite!!!

i'm one of those east coaster who won't stop going on about how pizza isn't quite as good here. well, lamonica's is the best i can do out here. they ship the dough in from ny even. it's worth the drive to westwood to get a slice or even a whole pie.
