ALWAYS GOOD

by AttiSchmidt

Since it opened La Bruchetta has been a solid and reasonably priced restaurant, there is no fuzz and no pretending, just good Italian food.

Absolutely Fabulous: A+ all around!

by sgeshti

I first discovered this restaurant back in December of 2007 off of Zagat. To be completely candid, I cannot begin to explicate the wonderful service and loving atmosphere this restaurant gives off. The owner is always there and is such a gentleman. The food is great, the wine list is great and it's just an overall romantic setting to be in. Plus the dim lights inside the place add that special touch. The prices are affordably comfortable and the waiters are kind and respectful (none of that stuck up attitude people mostly receive at nice, fancy restaurants). Parking is not that hard to find either (if you decide to park on the street).

This place simply has the whole package. I truly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!

BEST ITALIAN FOOD ALL AROUND!!!!!!

by ReneeMarieLam

My wife and I come to this restaurant whenever we can. We live in Fountain Valley, CA so it's a long drive for us but believe us, this restaurant is worth every mile of the way. We have tried every thing on the menu and we love everything we have tried. The steak is made to exactly how we prefer (rare for me and medium rare for my wife). The lamb is moist and juicy. Basically, everything we have tried is nothing short of "perfect"!

The service is second to none! It's fast and friendly. At any moment, we can always wave down a waiter. As for the owner(s) of the restaurant, well, what can we say about them (it's husband and wife team) except ...to know them is to love them!

My wife and I and our daughter (Marie) will definitely be coming back "hungry for more"!!!!!!

"La Bruschetta" Italian for "a great night out"

by worldspeaker

Some places you go to eat and some places you go to make dinner a memorable event. La Bruschetta is the latter. Each time I have been there, from the moment I hand my keys to the courteous valet, to the final "goodbye" to the staff, I have been treated like a member of the family ( if your family is full of kind, courteous, 5 star Italian chefs!). The meals have always been fresh and fabulous and served with the kind of passion that Italians are famous for. Once you choose a dish there it becomes hard to try something else as what ever you had the last time is now your favorite meal (currently my favorite is the lamb or is it the salmon?).

La Bruschetta has that great quality of not only creating a wonderful evening, but also a memorable one. The test to a great evening out is if the euphoric glow continues the next day. Many times I have spent the next day thinking about what I great time I had the night before at La Bruschetta (especially while enjoying the leftovers :-).

If you want to have a great time, with great food and great people, then give La Bruschetta a try. Tell them Dave sent you, I bet they will treat you like family too!

  • Pros: Courteous Staff, Great Food
  • Cons: Call for reservations if you can but if not they will still fit you in

The best food this side of Italy

by simpleEshopping

I have been dining at La Bruschetta Ristorante for years. Every time I'm there my experience from valet to dessert is always a delight. Angelo and Susana are always the ultimate hosts, and their staff are, prompt, courteous, friendly, and as warm as family you love. I find the menu choices so deliciously delightful that I always find it difficult to choose my meal. (I admit that sometimes I have found the choices just so tempting that I can't decide, and get them both!)

I have had so many wonderful dining experiences at La Bruschetta Ristorante, that I called upon Susana to cater a special event for me. What a delight it was! Everything down to the finest detail was thought of and taken care of just as if I was sitting in the ristorante.

You must experience the warm and inviting atmosphere for yourself. I've highly recomended La Bruschetta Ristorante for years!

A comfortable, relaxing, feel like home establishment,

by ClintBurdette

Angelo, the owner is the ulltimate host. The waiters and staff are friendly and efficient. The ambience is low key and comfortable. You can have a conversation with your table partners without having to raise your voice.

Excellent wine list with a broad selection and reasonable pricing.

The daily specials are aways a treat -- something you would never do for your self at home. The menu has a wide selection of items from every region of Italy. The Lamb Chops are done to perfection, and the fresh Spinach Salad with crumbled feta cheese and walnuts with just the right amount of dressing is a "must have". The Molten Chocolate cake w/made on the premises Ice Cream is to die for.

A great place to celebrate a special event or just to have a relaxing meal in comfortable enviorment.

Overrated

by joeannn

I was very excited to try this place out as we always saw it and thought it looked adorable.

However the service took forever to get drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We had to ask for everything since they had 1 host, 1 waiter and 1 bus boy for the entire place.

Out of 4 dishes, 3 were nothing special especially not at that price. I expect some flavor for the price. The only decent dish was the veal.

Just go down the street to Sprazzo where you can get excellent italian.

Classic neighborhood Italian bistro serving homemade pastas since 1984.

by Contributor

In Short
This traditional Italian spot is equally suited for dates and grandmother's birthdays. A wood-carved wine rack comprises the entire back wall and accomodates most budgets and levels of wine enthusiast. Serving regional Italian fare, house-made pasta and chicken and veal entrees are emphasized. Mussels bathe in a white wine and garlic sauce, while breaded strips of veal scaloppini are spritzed with white wine and lemon. Several pastas and seafood specials round out the menu.

Intriguing menu

by uclagirl

Traditional with a twist--there's nothing boring about the food here. We were a party of 12 for lunch, and although service was a little slow, we were all served at the same time. The fazzoletti ripient al ricotta a spinaci was delicious, and the portion size was generous but not overwhelming. Prices are reasonable for an Italian restaurant. I'd come here again.
