STAY AWAY FROM BROOK!

Run, run away from Brook. They took out extensions, and she is the "extension person" (and she's a trainer, as she'll tell you 3 million times). She said she had the tool my former stylist had to remove them - nope. Basically pliers that shredded my hair on the way out. The color was fine, but my hair: DISASTER. Truly, truly awful. I wanted a few, wispy bangs - I'm now sporting Joan Jett circa 1970 - not hot. As I was saying let me think about the bangs for a minute, and only cut one side - she was chopping, and chopping off both sides.

My first attempt was a non-style. I was really unhappy, called back and said give me someone that knows how to cut FINE hair. They wouldn't let me get anyone but her. Her next attempt basically shredded off my hair. I'm not kidding - you can see through the ends, they're so thin, she sheared off most of it. Terrible, terrible layers, it's going grow out horrendously, and I have a bunch of meetings with hair that really sucks and is too short to put up.

I have zero training, and I cut my daughter's hair so much better than this. Her bangs are super cute, and it grows out well. Seriously Brook - you can get that training by watching YouTube.

I signed up for an account just to warn people about this disaster with shears. If you decide to go...don't say I didn't warn you.

Not bad, but not listening

I don't hate the haircut I got, but it is pretty far from the trim I asked for... Maybe because my stylist was a little young, she did the cut she wanted to do instead of the one I wanted.

Best Haircut in LA- Jordan M.

I have lived in LA for 2 years now and have been in search of the perfect salon and hair stylist..and I finally found one. Cush salon has such a cool vibe and I felt taken care of as soon as I walked in. Jordan Miller was my stylist and she was AMAZING! I've had the same stylist for 8 years and haven't trusted many people to cut my hair..but she nailed it. She also gave me highlights (which I NEVER do) and they look so natural. Jordan was really funny and gave me the exact haircut I wanted. She was super personable and I mentioned I was in a wedding in a few weeks and she immediately offered her services. She can do HAIR AND DO MAKE UP!!! I have never seen my skin look flawless.ever. She did an amazing smokey eye with different shades of purple. I highly recommend Cush salon and Jordan Miller, well done!!!!

Josef Pergi Clipping Away at Cush!

Josef began a new year at a new salon, but this is not an ordinary salon, it's a sleek hip modern/contemporary salon complete with a cafe and drinks! The salon aside, Josef is the newest star at Cush bringing his 30 years of stylistic experience to a new venue. I travel to Los Angeles on business several times a year and always make it a point to schedule my haircut with Josef when I am in town. I highly recommend Josef to all of you--men, women and kids--he's got the eye, the skill and the creativity to make you a star even if you are like me and do not have a star on Hollywood's walk of fame...yet! Sets the standards at Cush with her professional service and ability to put you at ease. She is superb at making sure you get exactly what you want and more. She always explains everything she is preparing to do so that you are never guessing. She is always willing to share her knowledge so that you are able to make the most informed haircare decision. Her schedule is flexible and prices are reasonable. My hair is healthier than its ever been and I always receive great compliments . But the true compliment goes to Wendy!

Martine!

Martine has been my stylist for about 8 years, and i would never go anywhere else! She is attentive and genuinely cares about your hair and about you as a person. She is very patient and takes the time to give you exactly the cut you desire, takes direction seriously without taking it personally -> god knows there are stylist out there that have a know it all attitude, but not her!!

Great color, great cut, great attitude!

..Oh.. The salon is beautiful! with art that is replenished every couple months, its like stepping into a different salon everytime.

Angela Rushing is the best!

I have been having my hair cut and highlit by Angela for over 2 years and have nothing but good things to say. She is always on top of the latest styles keeping my look trendy (but not too trendy - at my request). She is lots of fun so time passes quickly. The salon itself is a beautiful modern space. They have a cafe so you can grab a quick bite while you are having your hair done. The salads and the cappuccino are awesome. If you owe yourself and your hair a treat you should try Angela.

Bogart Michaels, super-stylist

This is a v ery lovely salon with a warm, friendly atmosphere. The cafe is a nice touch -- you can have them bring you a drink or sandwich when your treatments, as mine, involve highlights and color. Bogart is an amazing stylist and perfectionist. He always gives me his full attention and careful consultatation before each appointment. He encourages variety and playfulness -- hair should be fun, not boring. I am never disappointed. And, did I mention that his personality is great as well?

• Cons: he's only available 3 days a week

Awesome style with Karina

I have been with Karina Vega for years now...and have followed her through three salons with good reason. She is the best stylist I have been to and I always get asked who cuts my hair and get many compliments. She is especially skilled with short cuts which always tend to show the caliber of the stylist. She is super with color as well...I think she's done the spectrum of the rainbow on me, although these days I pretty much stick to black. I still make the drive out to see her even though she is kinda far from where I live. I am pretty particular about what I want and she always listens and gets it right. Thanks Karina!
