You should have a better choice!

I am a Ramen person, I would try Ramen every time in any Japanese restaurant. Last Wednesday, I tried this Ramen place with great expectation, but it turned out to be a big letdown.

We ordered a Kara chicken ramen soup (spicy chicken) and pork Chasiu ramen soup. both of the ramens were not hot enough.The pork broth and chicken broth tasted almost the same, except one with spicy oil. The pork chasiu could be more seasoned and tender.And the ramens were okay, not too impressive. The whole thing is just not that good enough for those who really like ramen, you can have a much better ramen with the same amount in L.A.

Great Ramen Noodles!

The wait at Asahi was too long, so we decided to try Chabuya. So glad we did...everything was amazing! Interior is beautiful. Prices are great. Service is friendly + attentive. But, most importantly, the ramen was incredible.

The menu isn't large, but it doesn't need to be. They have a selection of ramen noodles, rice dishes, charbroiled noodles and appetizers. I had the ramen with chicken + chicken broth. You can also choose pork + pork broth. I was served a very generous bowl, filled with fresh chopped green onions, small crispy fried onions, bean sprouts and chicken. It was absolutely delicious! Next time, I want to try the gyoza and sesame chicken appetizers.

For 2 ramen bowls, 1 beer and 1 green tea, bill was less than $25. Great meal at a great price. Plan on going back very soon!

Hands down the best noodles in town!

I have never been a fan of ramen. I always found the soup to be very fishy in nature as if made with Benito shavings. However, this is the most delicious noodles I have ever had. I eat here at least once a week. Everything from the appetizers - the crispy fried chicken, the gyoza, the shumai, and the house salad are all delicious. The classic noodles is amazing. The shrimp ibushi (made regular or spicy - basically a plate of noodles cooked with garlic and spices with shrimp and bacon - no soup) is terrific. Not a fan of the chicken soup noodles, but maybe for others it would be okay. Also, the service is great, seating is prompt, and the price is very cheap for such quality. Run, don't walk, to Chabuya!

Yummy noodles and interesting sandwiches, good place for a more relaxed meal on Sawtelle

We go here at least once a week, sometimes twice. The noodles are great. They also have some interesting sandwiches that are hard to describe, but pretty tasty, and good choice for kids. The appetizers are generally pretty good. Prices are reasonable, since this is a noodle place, not a high-end place like Orris or 2117. When we first started going a few months ago it wasn't too busy so it was the easiest good place on Sawtelle to get a table on a weekend evening, but lately it seems like it has been getting busier, which we consider a good thing, since hopefully it means the restaurant will be around for a while. The same location was previously occupied by at least two other restaurants that we liked but which somehow didn't seem to take off, maybe the third time's a charm. Service is pretty good and prompt.

Westside mini-Little Toyko on Sawtelle adopts affordable Japanese noodle bar.

A vibrant red wall displaying the restaurant's insignia provides a makeshift entrance for this industrial space. High-beamed ceilings create an edgy urban setting, while lime-green walls extend into the open chrome kitchen. Noodles perpetually steam in a large vat, ready to serve a mix of working artists and others who appreciate the cheap prices. When possible, organic veggies are mixed with pork and chicken to create ramen, pan-fried noodles and rice bowls. Side dishes such as edamame, potstickers and dumplings add more crunch and texture to a meal.

Delicious and beautiful food presentation!

We love Chabuya! We've been there so many times now that the servers there know our favorites!

We've also invited many colleagues and friends there and everyone loved it!

Chabuya has the best noodles on the West side of L.A.!! Delicious, beautiful presentation, and very nice atmosphere -- good place to bring a date!

Oh, other then all the amazing Ramen dishes, you must try their Gyoza -- it's THE BEST!

Incredulously tasty ramen

Broth was tasty, not salty, not greasy. Noodles are homemade and al dente (not springy or chewy like other cheap Ramen places). Atmosphere is cute - you could totally have a cute date here as opposed to other Ramen places. Highly recommended! Oh, icing on top, valet in back of restaurant for $2.50.

Best Ramen in LA.

Chabuya has the best Ramen in LA.

I live over an hour and the half away, and I've made the drive on numerous occasion to get my fix.

It's fast, its relatively inexpensive, and it's really tasty.

For first timers, try the gyoza, chashui ramen, rice bowl & buns.

Hopefully you'll love it as much as I do. (personally I like this much better than Asahi Ramen)

Bland, Greasy Carnivore's Delight

Warning: Do not go here if you are committed to healthy eating or you don't eat meat; you will have no options, not even the options the menu deceives you into believing. This place came highly recommended, which I guess says something about people's salt/grease/fat habits, but to me too much of those is nothing short of disgusting. I ordered what seemed to be the only non-pork, non-chicken (all broths are meat based) noodle dish: charbroiled noodles with shrimp. Imagine my horror when it came out with huge (to me) strips of bacon, all atop a greasy mass of bacon-flavored noodles. My friend, a healthy type who eats no pig products either, ordered a noodle dish that sounded vegetarian (nori, bamboo shoots, etc.), and that came out with huge slices of pork. Yuck. Finally, when I asked for some green tea in a last ditch effort to get rid of the bacon flavor, I was told there was no more hot water. Never again.
