I spent quite awhile searching for a great boarding facility for my dog. I do NOT like to board him, and in his 2.5 years of life this past weekend was only the second time we've had to do so... needless to say, I am picky when it comes to his care! K9s only has eased my mind greatly. I know that any future boarding we do will be at their facility. It's kept in pristine condition, and their entry requirements are quite strict--which means the other dogs entering will be healthy and won't be passing on illnesses to YOUR dog! This was a great concern, as he contracted kennel cough during his stay at Wagville in Glendale. He's come home today happy, healthy, and calm--what a relief! I love that they give boarders private rooms--I know that played a major role in his happiness. He can get overwhelmed in the free-roam kennels, where the dogs are all thrown in together 24 hours a day. The staff was also SO friendly, and he couldn't stop giving kisses to the girl who brought him out from the boarding rooms to go home! I would highly recommend K9s Only to ANY friend!

Pros: Great facility, individual care and attention, strict entry requirements, friendly staff--great service

Cons: Parking to pick-up can be tough, limiting pick-up (before noon) and drop-off (after noon) hours

I had taken my Germansheperd puppy to J9s k9s. short story Janine was yelling and screaming through all the classes she talked so fast you could hardly understand her. She rushed to the point of leaving out things only to realize it in the next class. I used to be a teacher of scuba& kung fu I like to think I know what personnal attention means. Janine told us not to ask questions but to leave a message the next day and she would get back to us RIGHT. Then she told me Germansheperds were the most screwed up breed in the country and I might have to get rid of him.Because we where going to have a baby. After 6 week class she said he needed a private. She took my money once again and acted as if she had just met us. She started asking questions and giving info that should have been part of the first day of class. She told me if my dog was to smart to be bribed by a treat O'well. He's a germansheperd of course he is. That's probably why she doen't like them. I talked to a few other trainers who where willing to cut down on his training time to give me a better price with the same result?? Bobby at K9sOnly would not do that he said he could not guarantee the training in a 2 week period. Now that sounded like an honest man to me! I needed spinal surgery so we gave he our dog to K9's Only for 3 weeks. He was like a new dog when we saw him again! you can tell if your dog has been mistreated. He was not. My dogs spirit was not broke and he has great confidents in him self(AND HE LISTENS) Because of my neck I could not follow up at home even still I go vist Bobby and he shows me how to compencate for my injury. Bobby also told me the training is now in my dogs head so stop worry so much about it . When I get better to come in and they will get him back up to speed NO PROBLEM NO CHARGE. After J9's K9's if I didn't carry 10 pounds of sausage my dog just stared at me waiting. Maybe Bobby is a little expensive I don't but what I do know K9's only was worth every penny!!!!!

Pros: They did everything they said they would with no problem

Cons: None that I saw

So since my last review K9's only contacted me as they had been unaware I was not happy. Bobby and Sharon the office manager took the time to sit with me and my family and try and work things out..The past cannot be erased but I certainly felt alot better when I left there. I appreciated they wanted to make ammends and fix any wrongdoing. I was pleased with the meeting and felt they had made some very good changes to avoid the same mistake from happening again.

K9's only is the worst place to take your pet in my opinion. I use to take both of my adored dogs for socializing and daycare(not for overnights). On one occasion last year(July 2007) when I called to make an appointment for my dogs to come and play the office staff told me my dog Boo was out of date with his shot records (not true!) I told them it must be a mistake as my vet records along with my own recollection was that he wasn't due for that particular shot until 2008!. When I dropped my dogs off at daycare on the scheduled day I bought the records to show them and also had my vet fax them the records showing he didn't need the shot they were mentioning. They said everything was fine with them and I left my dogs and went home..I came to pick up the dogs in the afternoon(it was on a (Tuesday) and asked if the dogs had fun, they said they had a great time, although my dog Boo seemed out of sorts..So during that following week he still didn't seem well but I didn't know what to make of it..Well 4 days later(Saturday) I get a BILL from K9's for the shot that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE~NOR DID MY DOG NEED. I called them up and asked if there had been a mistake and NO sure enough they had given him the shot BY MISTAKE?? I asked them how could that happen were they running around the daycare with shots in their hands?? They are not VETS!! They said they were sorry but when I went in to talk with the owner Bobby..he gave no explanation as to how the mistake even happened...which at the time was all I even wanted..He never called even once to see how my dog was doing after such a horrible incident. I was left heartbroken along with vet bills because of my sick dog(unfortunately my dog has severe allergies and cannot tolerate an excessive amount of shots! Again, never hearing from K9's only again..they couldn't have cared less about their horrific mistake! A dog could die from such a careless mistake...my advice stay away from them they don't care.

Pros: Glamorous surroundings(although I don't think the dogs care

Cons: They are sloppy and make bad mistakes

Last October I rescued a little maltese/terrier. I had NO idea what her prior situation was, but she needed training badly. I had gone through 3 different trainers including a 3 week boot camp with someone else who helped my dog come out of her shell, but did not train ME!! Needless to say, my little girl and I STILL needed help! Someone at the dog park told me about K9's only and I began to take my girl there for day care. I was struck immediately at how friendly and careing the staff was. Right away I felt safe leaving her there all day to play. The staff made me feel like I was leaving my dog with my family. I expressed concern that my dog and I needed training but I had already spent thousands of dollars already and was leary of spening any more money. Bobby and Sharon were FANTASTIC!!!!! They didn't even charge me for a session. They did not try to rip me off or manipulate me. They wanted me to understand basic commands and they wanted to improve my dog's relationship to me. I read on this list a negative review and am stunned and shocked... this was not my experience AT ALL! After two sessions (one of which was free) my dog was like a completely different dog and EVERYONE I knew commented on the calmness of her behavior. I give K9's only 5 Stars. I would give them 10 if I could. The community and doggies are lucky to have these guys around!

Pros: Friendly "down home" staff, free doggie treats, excellent caring training

Cons: None that I can think of

My 4 month old Papillon puppy wasn't socialized. He was very shy, barked at anything and everything and groweled at a few people such as the vet. This behavior was unexceptable. I wanted a happy friendly puppy. Friends told me about K9's Only. They claimed that they could change his attitude and teach him how to be a happy puppy who would be loved by all. I decided to check out K9's Only to see for myself what the place looked like and to meet Bobby Dorafshar, the owner, and Sharon Vincuilla, a trainer. My puppy and I went for an interview and a tour. In a matter of minutes the two of them had won over my puppy's love, so I had no doubt he would be happy there. The tour was incredible. The place is immaculately clean as well as fresh smelling. The ventialtion system is very powerful to keep it smelling fresh all the time. The kitchen was spotless and the dishwashers were running. They wash the bowls everyday. Each dog has his own food bin to ensure he gets the right food.. Convinced this was the place for my puppy to be trained, I took him for a 3 week training program. He came back a happy loveable puppy. Currently completed 3 of 4 follow-ups and plan to do fourth very soon. Also, plan to attend the free Sat. morning sessions to give my dog more exposure to more people and dogs. I am now able to take my puppy to parks, on walks, have people over and truly enjoy my little guy. He barks when someone comes to the door, but stops when he knows they are friends. I never could've accomplished this much as fast as they did. People meet him and are amazed at how socialized and well mannered he has become. He is now 8 months old and a true companion and pleasure to have as a part of my family. Since I know Lucky is happy, loved and well cared for in this environment, he will be a regular visitor. I take frequent trips. This kennel is the only place where he will be boarded. Thanks go to Bobby and Sharon. Keep up the great work. See you soon.

Pros: genuine love for dogs, clean enviornment, successful training results, happy dogs

Cons: wish it was located in my city vs. miles down the freeway, but worth the drive

My name is Brett and I am the Kennel Manager here at K9's Only. Recently, I was looking over some reviews on this site and I was disturbed by a couple of them I read about our facility. Here is my honest opinion of K9's Only: My experience of almost 10 years includes training, boarding/daycare, vet hospitals and grooming. Based on the level of care and cleanliness at my previous employers, K9's Only is by far the best facility I have ever worked at. I am proud to say that I am associated with this company. I feel that the level of care provided here is unequaled by any other company. The owner, Bobby Dorafshar, has a high level of expectations from me regarding his business. I, in turn, expect nothing less from my staff and we have assembled a caring, knowledgeable group of staff members to care to care for your dogs. As far as our canine training program, Bobby and Sharon have proven themselves as quality trainers. I have seen dogs come in for training that our competitors have turned away due to the difficulty or aggressiveness of the dog. Bobby and Sharon have saved these dogs lives by training them to be a manageable family pet. If you are still unsure and question the quality of K9's Only, come on in for a free tour. See for yourself . . . the clean facility, meet the knowledgeable and caring staff and see one of the best atmospehes your dog could be in.

Pros: Modern, state of the art facility. Great Staff. Great company to work for.

Cons: If you find some . . . please let me know.

My name is Sharon and I am the Training Manager at K9s Only. It is true, and I have never kept this from my clients, that I have less than 3 years experience training dogs in a professional setting. Over these years working with Bobby Dorafshar I have accumulated hands-on experience working with over 300 dogs and over 2000 hours observing dog behavior. The first rule of training a dog is to love it, and to make it love you; in order for the training to transfer to the owner the dog must be educated and learn to make decisions; in order for the dog to learn it must not be under stress (physical or mental); a good trainer never hits, never uses physical force, and never ever yells or raises her voice; both the trainer and the dog must learn patience; the dogs must learn that when they listen they will be loved and praised (this is the only way to ensure the training will last); and above all else, the dogs must leave K9s Only being happier and healthier than when they came in.

Pros: TRAINING WITH LOVE, HEALTH BENEFITS, INTELLIGENT CARING STAFF

Cons: Please let us know if you find any; we are constantly trying to improve.

This place was just recommend to me by someone I met at the dog park. I was pleasantly surprised by the posh environment. My dog recently had knee surgery, and we signed up for some water therapy. I am happy to report that Duke has benefited greatly from his swim time. The staff at K9s only is warm and loving. As soon as Duke is 100% recoverd, we are going to start training. Thank you K9s only for opening up the best dog facility in the valley!!

Pros: this place has everything: boarding, training, wellness, daycare and grooming

Cons: i can't stay over night
