LeMazing!

I absolutely love the sleek, modern and very earthy design of the spa-such a refreshing change from the average airy day spa. I was greeted by a friendly front desk girl who showed me back to the locker rooms. They are small, but very well-appointed and elegant. The foot soak and tea service were a fantastic way to start off my service-very relaxing! The service rooms are beautiful and the beds are soooo comfy! My massage was extremely good. I chose the So You and the therapist did a fantastic blend of hot stones with deep tissue and I don't know what else-I was too relaxed to remember what they said! But they only charged one flat price for the blend and I felt that my massage was customized to my issues, which is rare in Los Angeles. Overall a really lovely experience.
- Pros: knowledgable staff, beautiful decor, comfy beds
- Cons: smallish
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!

This spa (and the service provided therein) was PROFOUNDLY BAD. You'd have a more fun-filled and relaxing experience sitting in the Brookstone massage chair at your local mall.
Sad, but unfortunately true.
- Pros: The only good thing is that I learned never to go back to this black hole of a spa again.
- Cons: I wasted 1.25 hours of my life and 150 of my dollars at this establishment. A con indeed.
Le Spa is THE SPA!!!

I have a stressful job and was looking for a place to unwind. Most of the spas in LA are nice but are all vanilla. Everything is the same. I pretty much thought that I would get the same experience that I received from other places?WOW was I wrong. I have never had a spa experience that was even close to this nice. From A-Z they have you covered. If you are looking for a great spa experience you cannot go wrong with Le Spa?I highly recommend.
Spa Heaven!

I am not a big fan of Spa's. They are usually overpriced and being a "male from Mars" I don't really get off on somebody rubbing my feet. After a long days "jet lag" travel I checked into the Sofitel and my wife talked me into going to the LeSpa. Bless her heart! First I had my feet soaked and enjoyed a cup of tea. Then a fantastic massage that got all of the knots out of my spine. I didn't want to leave. I could care less about the price all I wanted was to stay in the Spa and never go back to our room. When you get there check out the shower. I am 6'5" and I never get a real shower. This thing is like being in a rainstorm. A fantastic experience not to be missed. I couldn't rate this place any higher. It is a real treat that I will make a destination stop from now on!
- Pros: A total sensory experience
- Cons: Hard to find. They need a larger sign

Le Spa was a Big Dissapointment
by latlb
Having heard that Sofitel had recently opened a new spa I was excited to try out this new spa. I was completely underwhelmed by the facilities. The locker room is very small and when I went to use the steam room it was not working and there were dirty wet towels laying all over the steam room benches and floor. My massage was adequate, although nothing special. I will note that the massage tables are very comfortable. After my massage was over I went to pay to discover I was being charged not for a regular massage (which is what I had booked) but for something called the "so you" massage, a more expensive custom massage, which is one of the last items on their massage menu of services. I spent over 30 minutes explaining to the person at the counter this wasn't what I had booked and was told (in a not so friendly manner) their policy is to book anyone who calls for a 50 minute massage for this "custom" treatment, as opposed to their standard massage. No where on the spa menu nor when I booked the treatment was this explained. I find it disheartening that as I now read other reviews prior patrons have had this same complaint and Le Spa has done nothing to change or clarify it's policy. Given the prices at Le Spa are already slightly higher than many of their competitors that have larger and more expansive facilities, this increased price seemed outrageous and the way they book their treatments dishonest. Instead of leaving feeling relaxed, I left felt that I had been cheated. My recommendation is GO ELSEWHERE!!!
- Pros: Comfortable massage tables
- Cons: dishonest, overpriced
very relaxing experience with excellent results

I was in a hurry to get to my appt but by the time I had changed into my comfy robe, and sat down for a complimentary warm foot soak and tea, time had already started to slow down. I was only that much more thrilled when I found out that my 80 minute facial started with a back massage!! Only down side is that my skin was so radiant afterwards, I didn't want to take a steam and risk losing my new face :) Next time, I will make sure to get there early and take advantage of the locker room and gym!
- Pros: tea, foot soak, valet, results
- Cons: didn't have any
Good experience

I stayed here and was in serious need of a massage. I booked just a regular massage, but when I arrived and wanted to pay before the services, I was charged for a more expensive custom massage. I had to discuss that I had just asked for a regular massage. So in that aspect they really need to work on it. However the girl was so friendly behind the desk and was so happy to show me the spa. The ladies locker room is very beautiful, not very big, as the steam rooms is very small too as is the fact that there are only 2 showers, but they do not book many people at once so it's ok. That has to be the best part, not alot of other spa customers, so I had privacy and silence to relax! The robes were comfy, the decor was very nice, and the complimentry foot soak and tea is def a reason why I go back. Very nice touch! My massage was very good also! The showers are amazing! Even with its faults I would rather go here where I am the only one there, than a Four Seasons spa with tons of people!
dont bother with the waxing!!!
by nmjefferson
I've been to the best waxing places in the country. from bliss to j sisters to canyon ranch. It's amazing that in 2007 people are not trained to give you a basic waxing. it was horrible. the worst experience ever. it also took 45 minutes when anywhere else it would hav eonly been 15 minutes. Its a beautiful place but the staff needs more training.
Worst Spa Experience Ever
by daisyface
First off, I found the locker room wholly underwhelming (tepid water, dirty towels in the steam room, etc), but I tried to stayed focused on the positive (of which there was ONE ? a very comfortable robe). My massage was decent, though for the first time ever, I was not terribly disappointed when it ended. When I went to pay for my treatment, me and two of my friends, for whom I had booked all appointments were told that we would be charged for the custom massage rather than what appears from their spa menu to be the ?original? (and cheaper) massage. I was aghast 1) as there was NOTHING custom about my massage, 2) that any spa would unbeknownst to the customer book a massage that was above and beyond a normal, regular, standard relaxation massage and 3) that the person behind the counter was wholly incapable of understanding why I would refuse to pay for a service that I didn?t receive. After 30 minutes, and arguments with the desk guy, a massage therapist (not my own) and the hotel?s HR manager, they finally agreed to charge us the standard price. Even STILL, they were insistent that it is standard practice for them to book clients who call for a massage with a custom massage, and that even thought that particular massage is the LAST ITEM on their spa massage menu, there was nothing scandalous or dishonest about their practice. I tell you, as an avid spa junkie and massage lover ? GO ELSEWHERE! LeSpa seriously LeSucks.
- Pros: comfy robes
- Cons: bad service, seriously overpriced, generally horrible and awful
