I brought two visitors to Comme Ca for dinner and we were honestly, not impressed. Don't get me wrong, the food was decent, but it was just okay. My friend had the Grand Plateau which was huge but the quality of the seafood was just so so. Oysters were bland and Shrimp were tough. Pasta servings were tiny, almost the size of an appetizer. We had about 8 dishes but none of them actually impressed me. It was so noisy that we were literally shouting across the table just trying to communicate! Waiter was all over the place although he was a nice chap. I want to try Sona, I hope it will live up to the hype!

Pros: See and be seen?

Cons: Food, Noise,

I am bicoastal and work in the entertainment industry. I am huge on going out and often have to go out with clients of mine. Well, i chose COMME CA for a dinner meeting with a two huge clients and boy were we unimpressed! The crowd was not that happening on a thursday night, the food way too salty! A friend warned me of this since he had a horrible experience here but I thought I would give it a shot. Two of us had to send our food back. Our server was good and friendly and I will say that the drinks are very good, think Hungry Cat. But for drinks and service to be the only draw this should be a cocktail bar. All three of us couldn't believe that such bad food was connected to such a popular place. Comme Ca won't be around too long. Great for a drink but thats it!! Way too overated!!

Pros: drinks, servers friendly

Cons: food aweful

Had a wonderful time. Food was delicious and had just what I craved for, the standard french food with a contemporary feel. The food took me back to paris but with fresher, better quality dishes you don't see at bistros of paris. The meat was tender where I easily used a butter knife to slice with. Fish was cooked perfectly, not overdone like at most places you find. The service was friendly and we had some wonderful wine to pair with our meal. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for some good old fashioned french food in a cozy, hip environment.

We went there on a packed Saturday night and waited for a table for just a few minutes and had a cocktail at the bar, which was amazing! They use fresh ingredients which does the trick! After we were seated, we were promptly tended to by the friendly server. Everything we ordered was perfect! We started with the raw bar of oysters and clams (very fresh), had the boston bibb salad, risotto, NY strip and the skate. For dessert, we ordered the lemon tart which was to die for. I know the tables are close together but I didn't mind, coming from New York, that's normal and I think it makes the restaurant more lively and fun.

Pros: Food, Drinks and lively environment

Went to this restaurant to watch my co-worker propose to his girlfriend. For the prices the food was not AMAZING as I had expected, but it was good. The lamb I had that was the special was soaked in pesto sauce so it overwhelmed the flavor of the meat just a bit. The staff was great, even hooked us up with four free desserts due to the occasion. Chocolate souffle cake was incredibly succulent. Overall a nice experience.

Pros: service, dessert

Cons: loud

well, i was there tonight and i expected much more from what I heard. i was there at 6pm with 2 friends at the bar, with an empty room we waited 10 minutes before getting the wine list and we got the food menu from a guy who was next to me, otherwise i don't know how long we should have waited. I ordered a glass of gewurtztraminer and they had 3 bottles of the same wine open, at the end I accepted what they gave me as I understood they didn't want to open a fresh bottle. anyway, i cannot say anything about the quality of the food and the bread is the best thing i had outside france (i am italian) but guys, if you thing the food here is amazing, you didn't taste anything better... there's nothing original on the menu, i saw everything somewhere else (and i travel pretty much), decently cooked and quite flavored ingredients but, when they said that a spicy aged cheese from Loire matched perfectly with a sauvignon from Loire just because they are from the same region... I think that was enough, I don't thing it's the right place for me... as a food&wine pairing consultant I cannot accept these suggestion and smile at the waiter who is just waiting for me to pay the check and get someone's else tip

Pros: location, parking on the street

Cons: noisy

Have been there several times and love the vibe. Very cool design. The burger is great for lunch but the egg dishes were mediocre. For dinner I like the coq au vin - a refined version of the classic. Overall i think the food is not revolutionary but definitely solid. It has a more sophisticated and modern vibe than most LA restaurants.

Wonderful lunch in a great atmosphere. Went there for a casual lunch with one of my good friends. Enjoyed one of the best burgers I had while my friend enjoyed croque Madame and we shared the duck confit salad. We enjoyed every bit of the food. Service was wonderful and friendly. We were on a time limit and they were able to get us out on time.

Went here last Saturday and it was everything I was told to expect in regards to amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. What really caught me off guard though was the great service. I'd heard some different opinions about the wait staff, but I must say that we were treated exceptionally. Our server was perfect attentive but not overly so, and the same with the busboy. For dessert we ordered a cheese plate and the cheese guy came over and explained everything to us with amazing enthusiasm. As we were leaving, the hostess gave us a genuine smile like she was actually happy to have had us eat at her restaurant. In a world where service has gone down the tubes, Comme Ca really gets it right.
