Sweet Tooth Heaven, Diabetics Worst Nightmare
by Goldie M
There’s probably around 42 sweet reasons to visit Milk on a daily basis. The three that stand out most in my mind are: (1) Baby Caramel Apples, (2) $.50 Bon Bons and (3) the “Warm Ooey Gooey Chocolate Sundae”. Here’s why: (1) Baby Apples make just about anything cuter, (2) I challenge you to find anything more delish for 50-cents within 10 square miles, (3) They use coconut ice cream for a genius twist on the classic sundae. Some things to note: I once had an entire cookies and cream malt that took me a full two days to recover from. Don’t get me wrong, it was an amazing tastebud experience, but the amount of creamy calories packed into that glass could fuel pack mule team for a month. My advice is to split your shake with a friend the first time around and then slowly work up to the full glass over the course of a couple visits. I plan to actually go back soon for something that doesn’t require an insulin chaser and my eye is currently on the Prosciutto & Provolone with arugula, potato slices and pickled onions. Will report back here after my savory nosh.
- Pros: Best casual evening dessert spot in WeHo
- Cons: Parking (though I've heard rumors of a lot across the street
Yummy for my Tummy!

This was a great adventure! Heard of it and my friend and I were driving around so we left Beverly Hills and headed over to Milk. I am familiar with chef Bret Thompson and I was not let down at all. I have never had such a decadent and rich chocolate cookie sandwich! I can't wait to return for more!!! And that was my friend's dessert, I had two scoops of ice cream and wow! If I was not full from my unbelieveably tasty sandwich and really well tossed salad I may have ordered more. I thought the cupcake bites were excellent and the agua fresca?! Sweet, light, and so refreshing. I can't wait to go back! The cookie ice cream sandwich is calling my name...oh did I mention the cookies were light, and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside? Wow!!
Not an Ice Cream Version of Pinkberry...

The decor is cute and different (a real thematic 50s vibe throughout), and the big sundaes look absolutely amazing...but this place is not a very pop-in friendly place. One, the parking is insane. I circled for about 30 minutes and still didn't find parking at 9PM. I resorted to parking on a red zone and ordering two ice creams to go. Two, I ordered just regular scoops of ice creams because their more elaborate ice creams are quite expensive! $6 dollars or something? Why?! Well, I guess it's acceptable to split one with a date, but if it's just a simple crave for ice cream...look for a no frills place! This place is more of an experience, if you like that kind of thing. Now I know that you have to actually prepare ahead of time for an "ice cream night" to really enjoy Milk. And go with the idea that it's not Baskin Robbins.
So Friendly and Nice!

I went into Milk to buy a gift card for my roommate, and I ended up having a great experience! I guess they just started issuing gift cards, so they were having a bit of trouble. They kept apologizing for taking so long, but I was keeping myself busy looknig at the cases of ice cream and cookies. Then, they gave me a free cookie! And then they gave me free ice cream! I wasn't really in the mood for sweets, but they were both delicious! The double chocolate cookie was amazing and tasted like pure chocolate, not like any of that waxy gross stuff I'm used to. The ice cream, however, was the true star of the night. The cashier told me that the hazlenut was good, but it wasn't good. It was GREAT! It was incredibly smooth and creamy, and I think it had huge toffee chunks in it, which I normally don't even like. Perfect! The friendly service alone will bring me back to Milk, even if I can't find a place to park within a mile. I think it'd be a great place to go for lunch or an afternoon sweet fix.
- Pros: Hazlenut Ice Cream, Double Chocolate Cookie, Service!!
- Cons: Parking
great sandwiches

I was driving home down Beverly Blvd. one day when the sign MILK caught my eye. I knew I had to, I mean absolutely had to come back and check it out. After doing some research online I found out that it was an ice cream parlor-esque establishment that was especially known for its desserts and ice cream sandwiches. Upon arriving I couldn?t help but notice the art deco building which was modernized in a subtle and tasteful manner. Inside the decor was very simple and sterile with stainless steel finishings meets 50?s diner with the tunes of jimmi hendrix, john lennon and tom petty and the heart breakers playing in the background. I couldn?t help but tap my foot and hum along with my favorite songs while waiting for my food. It wasn?t too loud unlike other establishments I?ve been to who seem to think that blasting music into it?s customers skulls gives the place more character and makes it fun. The place itself caters to a variety of customers running from hipsters who have come to see and be seen, to locals who are enjoying a blended mocha with their newspaper. The staff was especially helpful and friendly. They even offered to save my table and watch my things as I moved my car to their private parking lot. I ended up getting the Media Noche sandwich and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich itself had an interesting combination of ingredients like roasted pulled pork and ham with manchego cheese, pickles, and roasted garlic mayo that complemented each other perfectly! It?s definitely something I?m going to be coming back for again.
- Pros: service, parking lot, music
- Cons: not enough seating
Best lunch spot!
by smc198
Went in for lunch and their sandwiches are the best. I had the media noche, and even though it's not traditional, it's delicious! I also tried their ice cream sandwiches, which were okay. The first bite was heavenly but after that it got a bit too sweet and soggy. I think two or three bites is enough.
But a great place for lunch/desert!
- Pros: Food, Service, Prices
- Cons: PARKING!
Great unique cool place to get decadent dessert

I gave this place 5 stars because it is just a perfect neighborhood place. It is unpretentious and friendly with all different types of customers including families and children. It felt a little cold at first because of the steel and white wall decor. After a while I got used to it and now it feels comfortable. It's not a place to sit and read but a fun place to snack with your friends or family. I love their chocolate chip cookies, fudge cookies (ooey gooeys?), and their chocolate pudding. Their cakes tend to be a little dry. I adore their coffee toffee ice cream but can't eat much of it later in the evening because I'll be up all night due to the caffein in the ice cream. My favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla but Milk's seem a little too bland for me. I haven't tried their food but will try later.
- Pros: Great desserts and cool vibe.
- Cons: Can get very crowded.
Yummy Sundaes!
by cshin65
Great ice cream and fun atmosphere. Their sorbets and cakes were not the greatest...but still highly recommend going there to try it out for yourself! :)
- Pros: Great ice cream sundaes
- Cons: a bit small
Milk is so good. Definitely worth trying.

I went to MILK for lunch and dessert. It was a nice, simple modern place with great food and the yummiest desserts. The chef/owner is one of the nicest guys I have ever met at a restaurant and there is no LA stuffiness or attitude like you find in so many other places in LA. It was very welcoming and comfortable.
It is a definite recommend.
Glad to have found a place that specializes in desserts!

Too bad Milk is not open later, I think it has a lot to offer the after-dinner crowd. Ice creams are yummy, especially the chocolate. Thai tea ice cream tastes just like Thai tea! The mint and mocha bon bons were good, didn't care for the berry vanilla. The gooey double chocolate cookie is TDF, but the blue velvet cake was just so-so - couldn't place what flavor it was trying to be.
- Pros: Chocolate menu items
- Cons: Closes early
