What users are saying:
Classically cool new, vintage and custom pieces.
by Melissa Gage at Citysearch
Don’t expect to find mass-produced, catalog-ready furniture in this airy, 4,000-square-foot showroom. Owner Steve Melendrez has an eye for distinctive pieces that are destined to become the focal point of any room. Whether it’s a cowhide-covered chair, creamy leather headboard, black crystal chandelier or an end table reclaimed from a sunken ship, the furniture here has both style and soul. Wander amongst retro couches, bedroom set-ups and unique dining room tables to find the perfect piece in the medium to high-end price range. Local designers are heavily represented and the walls are covered in accessible art in various styles. If you don’t have the dough to splurge on that killer lamp, opt for a throw pillow, antique globe or other funky accessory.
Coolest furniture, great accessories
by chachartis at Citysearch
I found myself with a little extra cash and have been wanting to spruce up my place. I was over at Madame Matisse on Sunset having a great brunch with a friend, when we noticed this place Living Room across the street. We walked over there and wow-- some of the coolest furniture and other doodads like framed art, accessories, and the kind of modern but classy but unique stuff I'd wanted for my place but hadn't really found. None of this stuff was cookie cutter, I don't know where I'd ever find stuff like it. It all had a feel of a cross between furniture and art because it was so interesting, but classic at the same time. Does that make sense? ha. Anyway, I got the coolest table, sort of a mosaic of tiles, and everyone who comes over asks about it. It's like my centerpiece now. Anyway, I wanted to rate this place Living Room because the guy Steve who owns it was so cool and the stuff was too.
- Pros: Coolest furniture, really nice owner, parking lot
- Cons: It's not closer to my house
