Felt Like A Number

I was referred to the salon and told that a particular stylist was great with highlights. I needed color correction after attempting to color my hair back to it's natural color so that I could have highlights put back in that were not so solid blonde. The stylist got rid of the brassiness, however, she didn't let the highlights come up enough so I now had mousey brown hair. While she was working on me, she also had 2 other clients she was juggling at the same time, hence, why the color didn't come out right. I told her it was too dark and she said to give it a week- it'll fade. If not, she'd be happy to put in more highlights for me- "I'll do that for you" I was told. A week later, I went back for those highlights. She had no clients, but I was kept waiting for a half hour. I told her I was back for those highlights she offered, and after seeing what she's done the week before, she said she wanted to do lowlights too. As soon as she got started with me, her next client came in and she ditched me under the dryer to go work on her - juggling again. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to stick around to have my hair dried since she started late, so I just had to trust she fixed the problem. It wasn't until later that I realized the blonde was left in too long, and the lowlights were the wrong color- I now have orange running thru, which I now need to have corrected. The kicker- She charged me FULL PRICE to fix her previous mistake (I'm kicking myself for tipping her!). Needless to say, I won't be returning. If you want one on one attention with a stylist who is conscientious about her work, go elsewhere.

Denise catered to my "issues", did a perfect non-toxic color, cut it exactly as I wanted it, and made me happy.

BEST SALON EVER!!!

Hi my name is Julie!! About two months ago I went to Marissa and got the brazilian blowout treatment and it is AMAZING!! I loved it and has basically changed my life :) before I had frizzy big curly hair and now I have smooth beautiful wavy hair! and also straightening only takes me 10 to 15 minutes and before it took me about an hour. The salon has a friendly staff and a great enviroment! I recommned everyone to go there because it's the best!!!

the fringe salon in santa monica is the best salon i have ever been to. i have coming here for years and it still amazes me how good this salon is with color, styling and now i have tried the brazilian treatment and i am totally addicted to it!!!! i do believe if you come here once and tried the salon you will never go anywhere else. this place rocks!!!!!! marisa is the greatest at brazilian treat ment... i am a big fan of the fringe!!!!

Great Hair in a fun and funky environment

Every time I go to Fringe I leave happier than when I left. It's a fun environment with lots of laughter and the stylists really know their stuff. I get my hair done by Linda, the owner, and she knows I'm OBSESSED that my hair is perfectly even (I had several traumatic inverted bobs before Fringe)...I don't even have to check anymore...she makes sure that I don't have to come back to get my hair 'evened out'. You should definitely give Fringe a try!

Relaxed, Professional, Talented Salon !!!!!

From the minute I walked in, I knew I was going to have a great experience. I have never been to such a welcoming relaxed salon. The owner greeted my friend and I, which made us feel comfortable and welcomed. She was very kind and even accommodated my friend and I so we could sit beside each other while we were getting our hair done. She spoke to her employees so kindly. It was so refreshing to be there, you can tell she truly cares about her employees and customers. My stylist was Clara and she did an amazing job. I am extremely picky about my hair and she made me feel completely at ease. She knew what she was doing and was very patient with all my questions. I have been searching high and low for the perfect salon in LA and I finally found it...FRINGE:)

Marisa will make you look fabulous and make you laugh!

For years I wore the same style, but after a little convincing, Marisa gave me a very sassy modern cut that makes me look years younger. I used to spend way too long in the morning blowdrying and flat ironing, but now my hair requires little effort and looks fabulous all the time! Besides being the best stylist, she is so personable and funny. I used to go to the salon just to get my hair done, but with her It's a total experience!

Nicest Stylists and Receptionist EVER!

I was planning my wedding from out of town and I had to find a salon for my bridesmaids to get their hair done. I called several salons in Santa Monica and the receptionist at Fringe was by far the nicest and most accomodating. When we arrived to the salon every stylist was so sweet and welcoming. My bridesmaids' hair turned out beautiful. I can't comment on the cuts or color done by the stylists at Fringe, but the overall experience for my bridal party was absolutely perfect! Thank you Fringe!!!

In all of my 30 years (for 15 of which, I've been gettin' my hair done), I've never walked out of a salon and felt so HAPPY. Like ALIVE-happy. The kind where you look yourself in the mirror and just say, "wow; that is exactly what I wanted, and more!"

I highly recommend MEGHAN. She's fun, accommodating, sharp and just knows exactly what she's doing. She can recommend what'd be good or bad, depending on your face-type (and, if you don't exactly know what you want, but you know you want something different & fun). MEGHAN you were amazing. Thank you, I'll most definitely be back!

Its rare to find a salon these days that actually care about your hair and what you want it to look like.

I have 20 years of painful coloring experience and to finally, after so long, be able to get the hair color i have been dreaming of... It was a blessing to find this place. The girls were great, and took their time with me in the consultation to work out their plan of attack. Believe me, i have so many salons'tried and tested' only to walk out unsatisfied. Fringe, im here to stay. Really!
