Wonderful spa facilities and very professional staff

by agentred

We stayed at this hotel Sat-Mon in July. All of the staff were extremely courteous, which is extremely important to me. I had a delicious breakfast of lemon brioche french toast with berries, which came to about $18. I had a massage at the spa, which has outstanding facilities. I received my one hour massage in a private and very modern suite-type room, with private shower and private jacuzzi tub (infinity style), which came to $125. The spa slippers are so nice, I took them home (which they allow). Overnight parking is approx $30 and I don't remember seeing any option to self-park and there isn't any street parking. The room is nice and very comfortable but nothing to write home about. The nice bonus was the balcony but the two drags were a shower that fit only one person at a time and the $9.99 ethernet access.

Beware - They are Crooks!

by lovedogs2012

If you have stayed here or plan to stay here, make sure you check your credit card statements. Four months after I stayed there - they continued to place charges on my credit card company and their accounting department refused to refund them. It was a nightmare - this is a business hotel and people probably use company credit cards which enables them to steal so easily. I am not the only one this has happened to - beware, beware, beware!

If you need to stay in Century City, stay at the Hyatt Regency just two blocks away, it is much nicer and a much better hotel than this place is!

  • Pros: The Front Desk/Bell staff are fine, BUT... Beware
  • Cons: They literally are thieves! Check your credit card statement

Lovely rooms, but far from perfect

by stumptownie

We recently spent four nights at the Intercontinental, and on the whole, we enjoyed our stay. Our room was large, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The front desk staff, valet, and concierge were all very professional. I'll never understand why luxury hotels can't seem to provide some of the basic amenities that business hotels like Embassy Suites provide gratis. The Intercontinental doesn't even offer wireless internet; you can use their wired network for $10 per day, but it's a shame to be tethered to the desk when there's such a big room to enjoy. Housekeeping was disorganized and spotty. The hotel provides nice toiletries, but the housekeeping staff fails to replenish them daily. We returned to our room at 3PM one day after several hours out, and our room had not yet been cleaned. I've come to enjoy in-room coffee makers at hotels, but the Intercontinental doesn't provide one or offer coffee in the lobby. The only option is room service, which comes to about $20 for coffee for two people. How silly is that? We enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinental, but there were too many small inconveniences to give the place a higher rating.

Dependable digs boast consistent service and ample amenities.

In Short
This highly recognized hotel chain has been taking care of business and leisure travelers since 1957. Professionals appreciate the business center, meeting facilities, in-room work area with ergonomic chair and no-glare lamp, and express check-out. Those who come to kick back take advantage of the pool and gift shop. Spacious rooms include a comfy bed with a quilted-top mattress, oversized comforters and feather pillows. Additional amenities include a fitness center, whirlpool and concierge services.

Eating in tonight?

by m_sukey

The Park Grill at the Park Hyatt in Century City is a best choice for eating in while on the road. A little on the pricey side of value but so is the hotel in general. The menu is delightful and the service is second to none. Enjoy your stay!
